My experience at Deco rug at Penrith has been wonderful. All the staff have been very helpful, friendly and kind. Their service is prompt and professional. Wayne in particular has been awesome. He is reliable, he has been to our home three times now to measure and quote, he has been on time, every time, even ringing and letting me know he was on his way. This sort of service is platinum, it keeps me going back to Deco rug. Nothing is too much trouble, and he makes you feel that nothing is too much trouble. He goes the extra mile every time. Deco rug is lucky to have him and the other wonderful Penrith staff.

Highly recommend DecoRug Penrith.
The staff are always happy to help and give you the best advice. We had Brie come out and measure up for our shutters, she is very professional and her product knowledge is out standing. Shutters are now installed and they look amazing. Eric who installed our shutters was great very friendly, got in and got the job down. He left my house clean and tidy and took all the rubbish away.
We also got to borrow a sample shutter piece so we could colour match out paint for the window frames.

Purchase a rug about a year ago and the sales consultant threw in a bottle of spot cleaner.
This is the best spot lifter I have used.
I had quiet a few dried stubborn stains on my rug which my steam cleaner couldn't lift and this spot cleaner did the trick with minimal scrubbing required.

Couldn't fault this product and will be heading back for another bottle

Three weeks ago I got a rug for our lounge area. The staff were very helpful in finding the style I wanted. They gave me a discount on the rug and carried it all the way to my car. Very happy with the quality. Will be buying next rug there definitely

My wife and I required new carpet and noticed DecoRug Penrith within the Trade Center in Jamieson Town. We remembered the name and thought that they have been around for a long time and therefore must be good.
We were served by Brie, a lovely and very helpful young lady who appeared to have a passion for her work and helped guide us through our requirements and the selection process.
We spotted a carpet that we liked which was 100% pure Australian wool and better still, Australian made! We were surprised at the price and it was available.
Brie gave us a budget price from a floor plan that we had and arranged a measure up in our home. The firm price was the same as the budget and we immediately signed up.
The carpet was installed on the given date and the installer, Mo, also impressed us both. Mo was courteous and a true gentleman. His workmanship was faultless.
We would both certainly recommend DecoRug Penrith to anybody looking for carpet. If you go through the Penrith store, be certain to say hello to Brie and mention this review.

Deco Rug Penrith so helpful and Deb bent over backwards to come out and quote. Once the money had been paid that was the end of the service. Installer showed up and immediately my floor needed levelling. When I asked the installer Steeven what the allowable fall was and over what distance he couldn’t answer. (It’s 3mm over 1 m that’s in the instructions that come in each pack) magically it wasn’t needed. Obviously the question was too hard for a professional installer. Installation was a disaster it took 3 visits and ended up with walls being damaged. Ended up costing me 3 days off work and I still have to fix and repaint the walls which were freshly done the week before the flooring was installed. I tried going to the store and Brie was about as helpful as a dead wombat. Deb was so quick to come and quote. Would have been nice if she managed to drag herself out to look at the damage, return a call or care at all. I managed to get a call from head office Salim? And I’m still waiting for the Professional Painter to contact me. Please avoid them like the plague. Maybe buy from Bunnings and get a homeless guy to install, you will get better service.

Staff at the Penrith store were absolutely lovely.

But the installers were unprofessional, never on time and it was just a mission to get a straight answer from them. When the installers told me the would need to charge fit leveling, they gave me a price and when I said I’m calling The office for payment confirmation they quickly drop the price. Head office was also hard to work with.

If I need a new rug I would go to the Penrith store but wouldn’t trust the to redo my floors again

The communication and followup is shocking only for Mark who organised another team (thankyou) called Tata Ash and Nero saved them otherwise I would making a formal complaint to Department of Fair Trading I pride myself in customer service maybe they need to go back to the drawing board and learn how to communciate and followup

Deb and her team went above and beyond with our flooring and carpet order. There was a small hiccup with the quantity and they fixed it up and problem solved. PS. We’ve used decorug previously for our carpet jobs as well and they’ve always had great customer service and good quality products.

Probably the worst experience I have ever had with any part of my home Reno. After the first very poor install of my new floating floors they have been back 3 times to try and fix the issue and still my boards warp when I walk on them, I have boards that sit higher than others. It's been a year of horrors dealing with them, and it's still not over as the floors are still not right.
Honestly don't use this company for any floor work, you will only regret it.

Very happy with all aspects of my recently installed plantation shutters. Bree was super helpful with choosing colour and Adam installed like a boss and also removed all rubbish and vacuumed up as well. Would totally recommend DecoRug if you're looking at shutters.

Job started Mid Dec 2020 (whole house, carpet and floor boards). The floor installer was suppose to return to a finish step into one of the kids bedrooms as he did not have a particular joiner to finish the job. He never returned despite us attempting contact. When I approached the store they said I had to lodge a warranty claim to be put on a list to get someone to come and finish the job. I did this and no return calls. I approached the store again they confirmed warranty claim was lodged in the system and they would get someone from head office to contact us. We still have had no contact from Deco Rug and the job remains uncompleted for 5 months. This is unacceptable and is also a tripping hazard for my children.
Would appreciate for them to contact me and resolve this as soon as possible.

Poor communicators. We had to constantly call to have orders confirmed as they do not reply to emails. When we call, they say they'll call back, but they don't call back. Very unprofessional and a real stain for the DecoRug name. I would not deal with this store again.

Really great customer service:

Not pushy but showed us items we may be interested in and suggested we come back another time if we hadn't yet found what we were looking for as they get new stock often.

Firstly, the number on the website for the Penrith store is disconnected. No one has responded to a post on FB. The Messenger chat stopped messaging when I stated the problem. My mum is having flooring installed. Two blokes casme Friday to level the floor. Were supposed to finish the job Saturday. Rang on Saturday to say they were coming Sunday instead. They have failed to show up today and have not contacted my poor 73yr old mum and she can't even get in contact with the store. Terrible way to run as business and lousy, shonky contractors too.

Carpet is good, but the people who installed were terrible.
Extremely unprofessional installers; we had to provide masks & hand sanitizer, didn’t come with the proper tools (no hoover or stapler) they broke our cupboard door while here and tried to leave before letting us know.
Their installers just left after “fixing” the door they broke after an hour and a half, having to use our personal drill to fit the door handle, redoing the job as it wasn’t level because the guy had no idea how to use a leveller. And being told it was a favour for not charging us for coming over to fix the door they broke.
Get another company to install the carpet if you buy their carpets. Absolute cowboy builders

Excellent service. We ordered and installed shutters on all our windows. Debra was fantastic she was prompt with our quote and answered all our questions. This was a great start and the excellent service continued. Brie was also fantastic and very helpful. Adam did the final measure and installation of our shutters. He is a master at his trade. He offered helpful suggestions and did a great job with the installation. He is a very professional and polite person who did a great job. We are so happy we chose deco rug.
