Quality is fulfilling to specification standard.
Kitchen cabinet did not get advice, turned out the cabinet is a little bit too high and out of reach.
Response to defect was a little delay but got all the defects fixed eventually.
Overall performance is satisfactory.

The overall experience of doing business with DB HOMES is relatively pleasant, although the time the construction took from beginning to the end was longer than we'd expected for. The Occupation Certification application process is a nightmare to be honest resulting in endless chasing up with them. Nevertheless, the foreman, Bill, is approachable overall.

The CDC approval process was a bit slow and there was slow response from the site manager when an issue arose, but the construction process was smooth without any hiccups.
Overall we are happy with the quality of our granny flat and DB Homes team.

I knew we were dealing with the right company from the very beginning when I spoke with Jason at DB homes.
Taking up on my project with specified required schedule, DB homes built exactly what was on plan, meeting deadline and expectation was much better.
I know whom to rely on when it's granny flats project construction.

We recently built a granny flat with DB-Homes and had a fantastic experience! They offered quality inclusions in comparison to competitors and were quick to responses. Alex and Rick were informative and very helpful during the sales process to build our custom granny flat. Jason Taouk (Project Manager) was taking lead throughout the build and kept us informed along the way. He always made time available to us to review the granny flat when it suited our schedule and was quick to address any areas of concern. As with any build there are always going to be minor defects, however these were addressed promptly and nothing major to prevent us from moving in. Overall, initial contract sign in May and was completed by late November. Thanks team!

So far, the construction of our granny flat has gone to plan and we are very happy with the team at Db homes and the feedback they provide. Jason - one of the foreman was very accommodating and helpful all through making the entire project fun and productive. We work across nations and we will be happy to employ their services on our projects overseas.

We had a Nightmare using DB homes Australia to build our three grannyflats. They took one year to build with many defects. DB homes Australia stopped work during the build For around two months, so then we needed to contact fair trading. Fair trading request them to fix and complete the grannyflats. DB homes Australia charged us $550 per week (total $10,000) for holding cost for stopping work and charged us for work they did not complete. (Only When we got to Ncat they dropped the holding cost). Fair trading could not resolve this. We went to NCAT and our lawyer negotiated some money for work dB homes Australia did not complete and for some defects. We then had a hearing with the Member from NCAT and both Building consultants gave evidence that the damp proof course on three grannyflats are defects and need replacement. The member ordered dB homes Australia to replace the damp proof course. We and our tenants are inconvenienced needing to allow dB homes Australia back to replace the defective damp proof course around most of the grannyflats. The cost of a lawyer and building consultant has been costly and very stressful. Since NCAT we have new defects/repairs, sewage hold water with not enough flow and leaking roof. We have contacted project manager Jason is has referred us to their lawyer. The nightmare continues.

I signed a granny flat build with these guys. Signing up was easy.chasing up foreman to complete the job isn't. The managers are useless to deal with, they are the reason the foreman do not reply thanks to high staff turn around. Our 2 bedroom granny flat took 12 months to build. 9 months longer than suggested build time frame.
They took no responsiblity, all they could offer for wasting my time was a upgraded air con (WHICH THEY NEVER GAVE).

Will never build with these guys again and recommend everyone who read this to look elsewhere.

Absolute horror story for 18 months. Lied to by saleswoman during contract stage. What they show you at Macquarie Fields display unit is not what u think you are getting. Do not ever pay a deposit to dodgy brothers as other reviewers refer to them as until you see the final architectural plan. Then they try and sting you with added variation costs. Took them to Dept of Fair Trading Tribunal 3 times, more promised lies, and finally got contract terminated and half deposit back. Wasted 18 months of my life for nothing achieved. After signing the contract they never answered any of my phone calls, regarding queries, not one. They only answer part email queries they want to. You have to ask about 5 time about discrepancies. Avoid at all cost and check what countries the fake reviews come from for yourself as I did. First time dealing with the construction Industry an absolute nightmare. Should be - 5 stars.

Prompt in addressing queries and concerns, quality work without hassles. No great price variations from original quote/agreed amount which means no headache in my bank account! Approachable staff available at every stage of the build whenever I needed clarification. Would work with them again definitely.

Building a Granny Flat with DB Homes was an unexpectedly great experience.

The office and on site supervision staff that I mainly dealt with, including Shelley, Ibrahim and Jason reflected their personal and the company’s high level of accountability, through their honest attention and clear, prompt responses to any of my concerns or enquiries.

My role as a customer in the progress of the project became the communication and the observation of a smooth progress of well timed events, with minimal schedule deviations, resulting in the completion of a quality project, earlier than the timeframe of the contract.

Based on my personal experience, I would not hesitate recommending DB Homes as a reliable Building Company, where quality of work and customer satisfaction dominate their business focus.
