David's Kitchen reviews
45 At 12: 30 noon, we ordered food and were not allowed to sit in the restaurant.
Poor service attitude
i order food at 12: 30, the staff refused to let sit in the restaurant with bad attitude
The staff wrapped the food very poorly. Food spilled into plastic bags No matter how busy the store is, you should consider the customers as well.
First time visit and amazed at the generous portion for a lunch special. The place was buzzing for its excellent value and extensive menu. You can even select your meal from the takeaway buffet window and they will allow you to eat it inside.
Love the roti canai + curry
and their laksa
the lady is also very friendly, the grumpy old man could do with some lessons in customer service though
Huge range of dishes and prepared the authentic way. The laksa is technically flawless - certainly makes the homesick blues melt away. Reasonable prices decent portions and one place that I never tire to go back to.
Crispy Chicken & Rice was disappointing. The Chicken was so dry I think it was leftovers from the day before and refried. Rating: 2/5
Barramundi & Apple Salad was beautifully presented and would have rated highly had the fish been fresher. Rating: 3/5
Such a great spot to get a quick bite for lunch at a really affordable price. I ordered the 2 choices medium bento with steamed rice, malay curry chicken and honey chicken. All of the food was steaming hot, flavourful and absolutely generous in its portion. You can also order a large takeaway container for $15 with no rice and any option available which is such good value! I am definitely going to come back in future, the service as well is friendly.
This is our go to place when we want to eat delicious but budget friendly meal. The owners are very accommodating and friendly.
I work near by and lunch rush means that i can only try their Bain-marie takeaway. Service and food both outstanding! Will try to eat in if i can make it next time.keep up the good work, David~~
There is a wide variety of choices from the menu to select from and a great shop to eat in the place.
Very generous portions for a reasonable price go-to cheat meal? Super tasty and reminds me of home
Enjoyed two fantastic meals here during our week in Sydney. Wish we had a place like this back here in Pennsylvania USA.
Delicious as always. Have been a customer over 22 years (original shop in Telstra food court 30 years ago, closed last year due to Covid business downturn). So glad Liverpool St Restaurant still open for business - dine in or takeaway.
Great food, very reasonable prices. Usually busy at lunch time, which speaks for itself. They also have a take away kiosk for those not dining in. Thai and Malaysian food mainly. Would recommend.
Great food, quick service, clean and good price. Plenty of choice. Agree just a little too salty for our buds but not over the top. Photo says it all
Tried bbq pork low mee noodle meal. Could use a bit more flavoring especially the bbq sauce but overall good. Huge menu and would come back to try other meals
Excellent value, excellent service, no frills Southern Thai and Malay dishes. 10/10 recommend.
Really good Asian sit down place in the city.
Servings are large, food is nice and fresh and it is priced very well. Venue is nice and clean and food always comes out quickly.
Their nasi goreng is really good and is my go to option.
There is also a takeaway option out the front.
A CBD institution (has been around for over 20 years in various locations), David’s consistently serves up one of the best tasting and value laksas in the inner city of Sydney. $13 gets you a generous portion with chicken and their Uber eats service is one of the fastest deliveries I’ve experienced. Highly recommended! Their crispy skin chicken is amazing too, but best to eat it fresh in the restaurant rather than have it delivered.
