While shopping in DJ's I went to the toilet, and assumed it would be in better condition than the toilets in the rest of the shopping centre. I was severely disappointed. The toilet seats are so old, discoloured and peeling. Then when I went to sit down it twisted and slipped all over so that your butt ends up touching the actual porcelain. Filthy.
I expected a lot more from David Jones.

Take the dust out of your budget and buy a $50 toilet seat from bunnings up the road.

Disappointed this morning to be looking at Chanel makeup and was asked by Suzie within 10 seconds of being there if she could help me. I mentioned I was after a cc cream and she told me the foundation I was testing was too light for me (didn’t ask her opinion). Then she tried to sell me a different foundation (I kept having to remind her that I was only interested in the one I came in for) and she knew nothing about either product so she asked 2 other women who proceeded to have a conversation as if I wasn’t there. Sick of being ignored and realising that all 3 had no clue what they were talking about, I walked away saying I’ll buy it online from Myer!

Great customer service. I had to return a Christmas present as it was the wrong size. I had lost the receipt but that wasn’t an issue. They were happy to swap for correct size. Very impressed with how it was handled.

I found djs to be a little higher in price but they had what I was looking for.
The service was fantastic And I didn't have to pay for a bag to take my item's home. Big plus

Whatever you're paying Khan in Menswear, pay him more. Some of the best service I've received.

More a reflection of David Jones in general. Awful prices, refund takes several days to process and the virtual assistant on the phone is the worst I have ever experienced.

Will not shop here again, pointed out the perfume I wanted and the store person sold me the box. Got home and it was the wrong one when I opened it. Took it back within an hour and refused to exchange as it had been opened. Was expensive. Don’t shop here. Also was followed around the handbag department as though I was going to steal something. Awful experience

A heads up DJ’s Kotara. Times are tough in retail and the young lady looking after the Estée Lauder counter needs a lesson in how her wages are paid. I went to buy make-up and needed to see it on my skin so asked could she show me. I was the only customer. In fact about the only customer in the entire section. She told me she was too busy and had too much to do. Customers spending money is how she is paid - not doing whatever she thought was more important than making a sale.

Most DJ stores are fairly exclusive as to the staff interacting with shoppers. In this store though, the staff were very open and approachable. All very helpful and friendly

Nice store, however the lady in the perfume section (vicki was her name i think) is extremely rude and not welcoming, kerry was very nice though

Faded glory of what was once a great shopping experience. Most David Jones are now a shadow of what they were. Clothing is over priced and sometimes grubby. The various sections of the store are under staffed and have little in the way of product, other than (bizarrely) the homewares section which seems completely stuffed with useless, dust gathering tat. The electronics section of the store is bereft of anything you would want to buy. The department store is on it's last legs.

I ordered some handbags online and they said they were unable to fulfil the order and I would get the money back in 3-5 days and asked if I could re order them the same day and guaranteed that they would be able to fulfil my order but did the same thing. I have paid over $900 for them not to be able to deliver my items and have to wait 3-5 days for my money to come back. I have tried to call them so many times and asked for help but all the different people who answer the calls gave me 3 different numbers to call and insure that they would help me but there was no one who could exactly help me and tell me what the problem was. This is such a terrible experience with such a big company like David jones to deal with the problems like this. I will not be shopping with them again. The online customer service is ridiculous. Whoever picked up my calls tried to put it on the other people.

Professional experienced helpful staff helped us find what we needed couldn't say anything negative about our experience at this store.

Staff member didn't understand my request to see a bedspread, not sure she knew what one was, obviously no training

The best service the partner and I have ever received in any store. Mel on the 3rd floor helped us put together a last minute gift box. We told Mel the type and style of gifts we wanted and she went searching around the whole store for items to use for our gift box. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would! Thankyou very much.

Visited during Covid. Carpark entrance was closed. Very few people. There are always sales happening.
