Darlington Point Sports Club

Stayed at the caravan free camp next to the Punt pub, but the pub was closed over Xmas/New Year break so walked to the Sports Club. Great Sports Club, went for a cold beer and a meal last night. Service was great and friendly, beer cold and a couple of families there, really nice atmosphere. Chinese restaurant was open, well priced, not expensive, but not cheap either, service was good and the food was delicious and came out in good time so it was worth the pricing. Overall a great experience, thanks Darlington Point, nice place to visit

Generous servings, beer was cold but sadly, so was the service. One young lady, in particular, was unfriendly, impatient & clearly unhappy. My fellow travellers found it ironic that the club describes itself as "the friendly club"

Our car broke down on the evening of new year's day (40 degrees & had been on the road all day) we managed to get to the closest town Darlington Point & found the Sports Club. So thankful we found this place. They have a Chinese restaurant on site, does offer some Aussie menu items also, the food was hot & generous portion, plenty of options. Cold beer & air-conditioning but the best thing was the customer service. We told the 2 ladies behind the bar about our car issues (meaning we couldn't get to our accommodation in Narrandera) the staff were so helpful calling around to the local hotels to find somewhere for us, in the end they had a last minute cancellation & so we could stay on site in their cabin. The cabin was perfect, 2 bedrooms (3 beds) kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning, lovely view & surroundings, peaceful & quiet. Honestly so appreciative of the staff here - we will definitely come back when travelling through in the future, & recommend to everyone passing through. Thank you

Always stay here when in area, Great service, great chicken burgers. And Accomidation is always perfect! Highly recommend.

Put in a complaint and manager was rude and abruptive. Current manager and some staff are in the wrong industry. VERY UNHOSPITABLE!

We just left the club ordered 4 meals at 7.05pm 1st meal came 45 minutes later next meal 15 minutes after that fried rice and next meal 15 minutes later last meal 20 minutes later (no hot rice for that meal). Have never been served meals anywhere like this before. Would never come back for a meal there again. The club it self was very nice. Must have been a bad day in the kitchen

Stayed at the very large and comfortable cabin. Good shower, kitchen facilities. Lovely Chinese food at the club.

Clean comfortable cabin. Lots of room with separate Bedrooms, bathroom and toilet as well as large dining/lounge room. Good kitchenette.

Very pour having the juke box blaring out in the main bar when there was artists performing in the auditorium before a paying audience

Country friendly but plenty of gaming and keno races it's very nice great Chinese restaurant as well

Will come again. We are travelling through to SA. Temperature was down to 2 degrees. They had the heater on becore we arrived. The unit was spotless and they used an objectionable air freshner. The Chinese restaurant at the club was a little on the expensive side but worth the fare. Staff were fantastic. Although no asain person was seen. Worth the stop.

So glad the pub was closed because we came here for tea at about 7: 50pm on a Saturday night and they were more than happy to serve our group of 7. Beer is really nice, meals were beautiful and large servings. Would come back for sure.

Disappointed. Staff at the Club weren't happy or helpful. Locals seem to like it here but you'll definitely feel on the outer if you are a visitor. The Chinese restaurant (same building but not associated with the Club) does good, large meals.

Extremely Tasty Chinese and great menu options plus big serves and the service is friendly and warm. The club service is very accommodating and very prompt. A great place for families

Small town on the murrumbidgee river. Nice campground, pub, club. Fishing is ok, food and small supermarket

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Cabins were very clean throughout and had all the amenities! Aircon was turned on for us before arrival and port-a-cot provided and set up for us. Great value for money and the sport club Chinese restaurant was very good! Great stop off point on way back to Adelaide! Highly Recommend! Support this little local club!
