We are extremely pleased with our new kitchen. The design process was thoughtful and collaborative. The production and installation demonstrated superb attention to detail and craftsmanship. We had waited a long time for the opportunity to renovate our home and Dan Kitchens was always our first choice. I can’t recommend Dan Kitchens highly enough. Our new kitchen and custom joinery is high end and high quality and has completely transformed our art deco apartment in Elizabeth Bay.

We were in safe hands throughout the entire project. Vagn helped us with design, style and materials and came up with creative solutions for difficult design, plumbing and electrical challenges. The on-site team were polite, efficient and professional and completed our kitchen in record time, despite having poor access and no onsite parking. Costs were always clearly articulated and we were regularly updated throughout the project and build.

We had a recent sink issue with the kitchen and contacted the Dan Kitchens team who actioned a plan to make repairs. This was done quickly (and while we were away travelling) along with other small maintenance matters. Again this was done at no cost to us. Our kitchen remains hard working and beautiful and well justifies our investment and decision to use Dan Kitchens as a high quality team and manufacturer.

After several flawed designs we went to Dan Kitchens for a true bespoke locally made kitchen. We ended up with a beautiful kitchen, made to last.
3 years later when a couple of minor scratches and a clash with a unsuspected edge on the dishwasher door occurred Dan Kitchens were happy to come and fix this all up - as a post install free service.
We have a very well used hard working kitchen that always looks new (and busy) and would highly recommend the Dan Kitchens team for their design skills, very high build quality and support.

We would like to express our thanks to Vagn and his team for helping us renovate our home. Vagn worked extremely hard with us throughout the whole process and was very patient. This started with the detailed custom design of our kitchen and cabinetry in bedrooms and other rooms in our home. He really listened to our ideas and provided feedback on these and where appropriate incorporated them. He then made the kitchen and cabinetry in his exceptional factory and then installed everything during the middle of the COVID pandemic. He uses top quality materials and recommends good appliances. He treated our home as if it was his home and wanted everything to look good and work well.

Recently my 18 year old microwave finally expired and after a lot of searching I couldn’t find anything to fit into the inbuilt cavity. I rang Vagn at Dan Kitchens and in no time problem solved with the help of Winnings Appliances. Instead of having to spend a fortune to have a purpose built surround kit built a solution was found. Dan has such attention to detail and still had all my old plans on file so they knew exactly the dimensions of the cavity that needed to be filled.
A microwave may not seem much of a problem, but when it is very visible in an open plan kitchen/dining area it has to be just right. Dan fixed my problem without it costing a fortune.

We recently renovated our kitchen and laundry area but before that spent months driving aimlessly around Sydney looking at showrooms speaking to designers and ‘experts’ but no one really filled us with confidence and we really didn’t want to entrust this major project to just anyone. Then we found Vagn and the team at Dan Kitchens and all that changes. From the moment we stepped into the showroom, you could sense a team that took pride in their product. I have never met a more professional outfit. They are very customer focused and have a wealth of experience to draw upon to ensure they build the kitchen of your dreams and they did just that. I can literally not fault any aspect of the experience. The quality of their workmanship is incredible. They managed the process from beginning to end and stuck to the promised timelines. We have been enjoying our brand new DKA kitchen for 3.5 years now.

Admittedly the bill shock took a while to get over, but we wanted the best and we got the best. Everything fits millimetre-perfect and has given us the ideal space with which to grow our young family.

The tiny U-shaped kitchen has been replaced by an expansive arrangement of pantries that run down the wall and frame the clutter-free kitchen island and dining table. The old laundry has been replaced with a drinks bar complete with dedicated sink and tap.

A friend in the real estate industry took a few groups of househunters through our house to gauge the market value. The compliments for the kitchen were unanimous, and the perceived value increase more than covered the cost of the kitchen.

We chose to trust Arthur's design decisions, and only after seeing friends' sub-par kitchen designs/installations, do we truly realise how much we have been taking for granted.

We recently upgraded the dishwasher to a semi-integrated type, and Vagn kindly sent us an additional kickboard completely free of charge. After-sales support has been tremendous and responsive.

Amazing work by the team and should we ever move house, we will be back for another brilliant DKA kitchen.

Right from my first phone enquiry I was struck by their professionalism and that didn’t waver at any point.

It was clear from our first (and only) showroom visit that the reviews were genuine and we signed up with them that day.

They were very helpful and involved in the initial appliance selection though this was all externally purchased. Their guidance felt genuine, well informed and unbiased. Once that was finalised, the design could begin.

I will say that the design process, though straight forward for most, was the most challenging part for us - and mainly just in achieving the aesthetics we had in mind. It took a few revisions and team collaboration to arrive at our final design but from there it was back to smooth sailing.

As it was designed and installed during the covid pandemic, and with us being in Newcastle, decisions were all made remotely. We had to trust their experience and recommendations for fixtures/ accessories/ finishes etc and they were spot on with everything.

The installation team were awesome, tidy, quick but thorough, with careful attention to detail.

The quality of the kitchen is just amazing and evident to anyone who sees it/ uses it.

The actual functionality of the design was so well thought out by the team, the kitchen is a dream to use, I silently thank them often!

All in all, money well spent. Would go with Dan Kitchens again (if they wouldn’t mind such fussy clients again)!

It has been just over 6 months since our Dan Kitchen was installed and I am glad I waited to write the review because I can then comment on the quality and design after using it for a while. We have a big family of 6 and we were in desperate need for a revamped kitchen that provided space, functionality, storage and efficiency. We cannot rate Dan Kitchens highly enough for the work they did with, and for us- from our first meeting with Daniel to the final installation day, the entire process was stress-free, on time and extremely professional. We spend all our time in our kitchen and look at it everyday feeling so thankful we went ahead with Dan Kitchens. Their attention to detail, pride in their work, and quality of kitchen/cabinets is excellent and impressive. It was easy to work with them on ideas, colours, tiles, appliances etc and the advice and suggestions were second to none. We loved the first digital image Daniel showed us so much that we hardly changed a thing and used his ideas on simple decorations added ie stools, light fixtures etc in our final decor so his design ideas were perfect for us. My experience was OUTSTANDING. Ten months on our family, with three kids under five, and I'm still excited about our kitchen and built in shelves. The ergonomics and utilitarian aspects of the kitchen shave hours off my housework, with little touches bringing joy every week. I've heard it said "if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys". Dan Kitchens were on the upper price range of ten different quotes, and it was absolutely worth it. So glad we went with them!
