Dalat Restaurant

Thanks to previous glowing reviews, my party of family and friends chose Da Lat Restaurant as our dinner venue.

We ordered 7 different dishes. While all were delicious, the Beef Pho, Pork Bún and fried rice impressed most! Brought back fond memories of my recent gastronomic adventure in Hanoi. This will be our go-to stop when we next crave Vietnamese.

Service was sincere, friendly and efficient. Parking aplenty in the nearby Royal Randwick Shopping Mall or a short stroll away from L2 Randwick.

Always enjoyed the Pho served here … quick service even when they are busy …. Easy to find off street parking at night … staff is friendly … food is yum … will highly recommend if your in randwick …

The food was fresh, delicious and, there was a lot of it.
There was a lively buzzing atmosphere, and the staff were right on top of it.

Really great food. Pho was slightly under seasoned but wants you mixed in the seasonings on the table it was great. Friendly staff and definitely recommend the Bang Xeo.

Sober interiors for an outstanding meal. Great service, delicious homemade food. I had both take away and dined in: both cases never disappointed. Highly recommended

Ordered takeaway. Spring rolls were good. Beef and meatball pho was terrible. Soup was luke warm, meat was raw and did not cook in the soup, had to put soup in the microwave for 2 mins. Couldn’t eat beef because it looked and tasted weird. Also placed a phone order to save time but when I arrived 20 mins later they hadn’t started making my meal so that was pointless (and it was still luke warm lol). Wont go back.

Ordered 2 mains courses and a Combination Fried Rice. Only 1 main course Salt & Pepper Calamari received 20 minutes from the time I ordered Waiting waiting 10 minutes had passed by and I asked the young man staff how long now for the rice and other main dish Crispy Egg Noodle, he said it would only be a few minutes whilst 3-4 Deliveroo's came in to collect takeaways. Then a further 10 minutes later the boss owner came out with the other main course and fried rice and told us the Salt & Calamari was actually an entree and we should have told them all three dishes to be delivered together. I was extremely disappointed he would blantantly lie such poor customer service will never return.

Horrible when compared to somewhere like bananapalm. Food was lukewarm, badly seasoned & protein sparse.

Average tastes. Pork chop should have been grilled not deep fried. $2 yea charge vs $0 in Haymarket.

The food was exquisite. Fully licenced and the young staff were very attentive to their customers.
I had the seafood stir fry, vegetables with rice. My wife enjoyed the sizzling seafood platter.
A suggestion to the chef to consider include coconut rice on the menu as well as the already available jasmine rice.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will be back.

Feel dizzy after having Pho here. The broth is tasty but i think there is quite a lot of MSG. Not coming back.

I have been coming here for years for the 'pho dac biet'.

18/2/22: More expensive, fewer ingredients. Also, they didn't bother to skim the oil from the broth. Standards dropping lower and lower. I've lowered my rating to 3 stars. The staff are also less friendly than before.

As with many neighbourhood restaurants they need to work on better consistency and quality control; sometimes they are light on meatballs, other times there is not enough sliced beef. There are times when I have felt shortchanged because they have skimped on ingredients. Really need to try harder to repay customer loyalty as they are not cheap.

19/12/21: still inconsistent - they serve you well when they feel like it, when they are not in the mood you get substandard food with fewer ingredients. Need to pick up their game because they have been around long enough.

Great spot in Randwick for great Vietnamese. The food is delicious and the service is super fast. Love the BBQ pork with egg noodle soup - always a go-to and super-satisfying!

Great place to go for Lunch. The staff is really friendly and the service is quick. If you are around Randwick, I would definitely recommend you to give this place a go. My personal favourites here are the pork chops, the egg noodles, the fried Pork Dumplings and always nice to get a Vietnamese Iced coffee to go along.

The best pho in the local area! As my wife is Vietnamese she really knows what good pho is. We’ve been coming to Dalat for years and always get our fix here. We ordered takeaway and they packed the food perfectly separating the rare beef from the noodles. We also ate in and again the Pho was excellent, lots of herbs and flavourful stock.

I don’t really write the reviews on restaurant but this time I feel that it’s too much. As a restaurant You guy need to take responsibilities for customers. 5th November we got this Pho from u take away we are regular customers and always go there as usual, when we almost finished the soup, my boyfriend found toothpick in there, we were shocked. So disappointing and got no words to say.

A fantastic find. Our new favourite Vietnamese. We now no longer have to head to Newtown for a fix. This one is 5mins from home. Excellent! Good serving portions and great value.

The pho is really good! I've also tried the soft shell crab which is quite sweet. Spring rolls are great and the egg pancake thing is a must try as well.
