The diet itself seems fine but I found the way the company deals with its customers to be unreasonable, even unethical. I signed up and paid for a program well in advance. More than three weeks before it was due to start I found I was not going to be able to undertake the program so I applied for a refund. Even though I had not started the program and gave nearly a month’s notice this request was denied. They were also difficult to communicate with - long delays in responses to emails, and no way to appeal the decision. I recommend you stay away from this organisation.

My thoughts are to pay for the books and use them. The online program is not user friendly to everyone and the refund is only offered if you are willing to put your photos up but again not every one is comfortable doing this. Not all health funds refund the program either.

I started the Fast Start program not really knowing what to expect, but the whole Total Wellbeing Diet has been really easy to follow. The app makes it an easy diet to follow and the recipes are great! I highly recommend the program for anyone that wants to make changes to their health. I’m slowly continuing to get to my goal after the initial 22 weeks

Really getting somewhere with this program, finally after trying so many diets, great tools and support, finding that the meal plans are doable, great health coaching sessions, highly recommended

After a health scare late last year, I decided I seriously needed to do something to make sure I improved my physical wellbeing and drop the weight that had been steadily increasing, leading me in a pre-diabetes direction. I chose CSIRO total wellbeing program due to it's reputation and previously using one of their recipe books. I am thrilled with it and for the first time can imagine I can embed this way of eating long-term. The recipes are engaging and tasty, the online tracker easy to use, the food groups make perfect sense and the exercise videos which admittedly I am still to really engage with are clear and professionally presented. My diet type was identified as "Foodie" which surprised me, but was useful information, as I really do like different types of food. I realised while I was eating mostly healthy things, I was overeating. On this program I don't get hungry and it hasn't been hard to stick to it, despite being on holidays for 4 weeks in January. I am halfway to the weight loss goal the program identified, having lost 8 kgs in just over 3 months. I am feeling much better with loads more energy. I've received my refund and commenced on the 2nd 3-month program.

6 kilos down over the 12 week program wasn't the best news. Just how much food every day, was amazing.

Lost 11kg on the 12 week plan and couldn't be happy.
Not like a fad diet where you loose weight but then gain it back just as quick.the CSIRO TWD teaches you how to have a balanced diet.
You can still treat yourself too, which i believe is important.

The negitive things was
That I did find the recipes used a lot of the same ingredients in the same week. Which I'm sure people might prefer when they do their shopping so less waste.
And the recipes didn't always match the picture.
But apart from those small things, the diet is great and would totally recommend it.

So good that you get your money back too. It's like your reward for doing so well.

Thanks CSIRO!

Highly recommend TWD diets. It's worth the full price to develop healthy eating patterns and achieve a better weight. The hope of getting a full refund was also a great motivator (and I got there! - make sure you read the guidelines carefully at the start). I lost 6.6kg over 12 weeks despite trips away, eating out and substitutions for dietary intolerances. My husband and I both enjoyed the meals and rarely felt hungry. There are a number of different options to suit different goals and food preferences and good help too.

Love this lifestyle! Just over a year with TWD and 47.1kg down since joining (50.2 in total) with just a couple of kg to go to meet my personal goal. The best thing is how it has flipped my thinking and behaviours about food around. I’m no longer depriving myself of foods or whole food groups and I actually have to meet rather than restrict food targets. It means I don’t obsess about food all day or feel like I’ve ‘failed’ after eating something I ‘shouldn’t’ and then give up and binge like I have in the past. I love that I can follow the meal plans or choose favourite recipes and foods that I really enjoy like crumpets with peanut butter and honey, smoothies, homemade pizzas, or ricotta pancakes. The slow cooked lamb salad has to be one of my faves. The amount of food and the balance of types of foods I’m now eating actually stopped the urge to reach for the blocks of chocolate I had been consuming daily prior to this. So thankful to have given the CSIRO TWD a go, it’s been life changing!

Never liked the word "diet" but I have found a sustainable way to lose weight safely through TWD. Official Facebook Supp Group and dietitian sessions help answer all the questions.

The CSIRO TOTAL well-being diet really works - immediately. Since I am not very computer savvy it took me some time to understand how to use the program and there is quite a lot to absorb. Counting the units of food was a step too far in the beginning so I assumed that if I just are what the program suggested each day that it would work. And it did! Initially, I found the quantity of food enormous. After trying to lose weight for a long time I was not used to eating so much food. I didn’t even need the daily snack since I never felt hungry eating what was set down for the day.

Tracking what I ate at each meal helped me to stick to the program. And even when I didn’t - there were days when willpower failed - it was easy to get back on track. Checking the weight tracker was enough to mentally kick myself for the lost opportunity to keep the graph moving downwards. Also, the things that I thought I was missing didn’t really taste that great when I gave in to temptation. The healthy eating choices reset my tastes. I have pretty much given up potatoes, pasta and sliced bread, cakes, biscuits and sweets, not that they are precluded by the CSIRO diet. I just don’t want them anymore but I think I had to have the occasional breakdown binge to discover that my cravings were more mental than physical.

The daily menu can be a bit expensive but the quantities to buy are quite small. Also, this can be overcome by substitutions which the program allows you to make. The recipes are very easy to follow and quick to prepare. Making two or three servings at the same time meant that I could just reheat a meal several times a week. Also, pretty much all vegetables are on the free list and as I love vegetables I was able to bulk out the meals with extra vegetables. I have discovered lots of tasty new recipes and in the process also discovered how to eat healthier. In the initial 12 week program I lost 7.5 kg. I am wearing clothes that I haven’t been able to fit into for a long time which is a really good feeling. Even when the scales didn’t show a drop in weight, the tape measure did show a decrease in size. I am amazed at how simple the process is to lose weight. For me it was mainly having some help to a) control portion size and b) cut out junk calories. This really is a great program, all you really need to work towards the goal that you set yourself. I am so happy to recommend it to others.

I loved Program 1. I found it easy to follow and the App is great. It's assisted me to make better choices when eating out. The support on the Facebook page is incredible.

I did the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet when it first came out and was just a meal book (largely). It took me from over a 100 Kg into the 90's. Recently my wife lost a lot of weight and I was feeling out of sorts. I had tried to lose weight to go under the magic 90 Kg figure but always hovered a little over it. I love to cook, and I do not trust meal replacement plans. I like to know what I am eating.

So I decided to do the plan again, hoping only to get under 90 Kg. It is now 12 weeks later and I am comfortably under 80 Kg. I am no longer considered Obese, have had to buy an entire new wardrobe so I do not look ridiculous in clothes AND I am no longer suffering from Type 2 Diabetes for the first time in over a decade!

I have signed up for a second stint, as I feel great but could lose a little bit more to get to my target weight to be right in the healthy zone. I stuck to the program and have just confirmed that I am getting the full fee refunded to me for the diet. Would I recommend this diet to people?

Of course I would.

Jodi gave me some great ideas and tools to work with. Also swapping foods, deleting foods out of recipes and replacing with something else from the same food group.

Serial yo-yo dieter since age 12. First program I've ever done that I feel is sustainable long term. Very happy with my results from the first 12 weeks, looking forward to continuing on. So glad I bit the bullet and signed up, plus I was eligible for the refund.

I thought it was quite good until I got to the refund stage. Because I was not a computer wizard at uploading photos and I missed 1 at the start and I wrote a note saying I could do it. I am being refused a refund.
Recommend you do an computer course on up loading to the internet etc before starting this programme. I guess users of facebook etc might not have this problem. Buyers beware if you think you will get a refund and becareful. Until the kept taking money out after the 12 weeks I signed up for I did not realise you had to cancel. They kept sending emails to rejoin and I didn't but they didn't stop taking out money. Buyer beware

I have just completed the first 12 weeks of the TWD. The online support has been great. It focuses not only on healthy eating, but allows for occcasional indulgenges which made surviving Easter and its temptations guilt free and manageable. Over the years I have tried just about every weight loss program known to mankind, and yet the TWD approach felt new and engaged me from the very first day. I am happy with my progress so far, and look forward to continuing towards my goal on Program 2. My husband and I are about to pack up our caravan and 'hit the road' for about 3 months, and I am confident that with the ease of acess to the online support, I will be able to continue my journey towards my best possible self.

Am on the Loyalty Program and have slipped back a bit in the last month or so. Jenny Jacobs reinforced, in my mind, the things I already know. This was enough for me to set myself a mini challenge to get myself back on track. Let’s see where I’m at when I meet with Jenny for my second coaching session. Thank you
