Gloomy atmosphere. 38° in the room. The air conditioning did not work. Dangerous environment in the evening (drug addicts)

Beautiful city and dirty hotel

I stayed here 9 nights for my honeymoon, christmas, and boxing day - my birthday. And the hotel ruined my happy memories.

They don't clean up the room even one single day during 9 days. Dust and hairs just remained on the floor. I saw other rooms on the same floor cleaned by vacuum cleaner when I take lift, but I don't know why my room haven't cleaned even, one, day.

Just didn't want to complain to hotel because saying uncomfortable things would impact my happy honeymoon, but the last night they changed my mind totally.

When I came back to room dirty mob cloth was just remained and wine & water glass were left and not changed. Tissues have not refilled. What I can do is just leave this horrible place soon as possible.

If you want to mess up your holidays in this beautiful city, I massively recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for 7 days and 6 nights. It was nice that breakfast was included so I could have a hearty breakfast.
For breakfast, you can choose one main menu and a drink. (If one main menu is not enough, you can choose as many additional items as you want when ordering the main menu. You can continue to order drinks.
And like a buffet, there are fruits, cereals, bread, salmon, ham, and vegetables next to it, and there is a juice juicer so you can make juice by adding the ingredients you want.)
The room is clean and pretty. There is a light in the bathroom mirror, a dressing table, a table, and chairs. I think the soundproofing is good. One of the male staff members at the reception was very friendly. They lent me an umbrella and provided me with a map of Sydney. Chocolates are served at the reception every day. The location is also two blocks from the town hall, so it's easy to go anywhere using public transportation. There was also a parking lot, but it seemed to be paid.

The downside is room cleaning. On the first day, we made up the bed sheets, emptied the trash, filled the towels, and that was it. I requested and received the necessary supplies. It was inconvenient because the floor wasn't cleaned for all 5 days. I talked to the reception on the 4th day, but they did it a day later on the 6th day, but even that wasn't clean. I left cleaning chemicals in the bathroom and the cups were not washed thoroughly, so there was hair inside.
Whenever I use a cup, I always wash it again before using it.

The location, room condition, soundproofing, and breakfast were good here. I was very disappointed with the cleaning.

Gave other locations outside tourist traps to purchase same items. Room are exceptional clean.

The Crowne Plaza is one of my go-to hotels whenever I am attending a conference or trade show. It’s just across the road from the Convention Centre without the hefty price tag of the other closer hotels.

The rooms are clean and spacious with heavy doors that don’t allow hallway noise to get through.

The best thing about this hotel, aside from their staff, is that they provide you with aluminium bottles and a water refill station on every floor!

The breakfast was ok only. If you’re wanting a better breakfast options, I would suggest walking out towards Townhall, QVB or the Galleries for excellent cafes.

The only other challenge was that this hotel doesn’t have a proper set-down and pickup area. Be prepared for other motorists to honk at your cab or Uber when they pick you up or drop off.

Overall, highly recommend this hotel for its location, amenities and super helpful team.

I've stayed here a number of times and have always loved, it. It's a great hub to work from and close to heaps of awesome restaurants.

Plus, the team are always lovely and the rooms are great to work from.

Mothers day high tea was just magnificent! Food was delicious and staff was so attentive and friendly. Thank you Crowne Plaza for making it so special!

My Stay at the hotel was amazing and comfortable. It also has an pool with great view which makes morning swim great. And the best part is it's pet- friendly so you can also enjoy your pet's company. It's has a modern vibe and the service was also great. I would definitely like to visit again.

Very Average.paid $500 for a night (Saturday night) and the room was so small i am sure i could have got better deal else where. The staff at front entry were good but wait staff at the pool and the duty manager has zero value for customers time and their occasion celebration. Ordered watermelon cocktail but we got everything except watermelon.found a Orange pill as a garnish which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. (They need to take this seriously as practice like this may hurt someone with sever allergy)

Rooms were so tinny, we got two single beds, beds were so tiny that a 7 year old child wont fit on. This hotel is cramped up with other high rises so view from the pool look looks nothing like the photo they have advertised. I could have saved my money and gone to a proper FIVE star hotel.

First time to stay in this hotel and we had a really great time.

The executive twin room we booked is luxurious, cozy and comfortable. Loved the comfortable bed and pillows. Very clan and well maintained room. We included breakfast with our booking and glad we did! The location of the hotel is central and is walking distance to Chinatown, Darling Harbour/Square and Town Hall.

Nice room, very spacious and hotel was centrally located to King st Wharf. Staff friendly and helpful.

What a great hotel. Good service, well appointed rooms, a good central location but not filled with tourists. The breakfast is decent with a half menu, half buffet arrangement. Bar has a craft beer and the shower passes (just) the reasonably tall man test.

We stayed in a suite and it was beautiful!

I was considered as a long term stay (5 nights) when checking in, so i was provided a piece of paper to complete and hand it back to reception. The document was about simple things like the type of pillows i want, type of tea bags and if i had any allergies, pretty simple stuff, but it's all pretty much in my IHG profile, so it was more of a double up anyhow! Anyway, i completed this, and nothing in my room changed, no additional pillows, now more tea bags, and the mini-bar was never stocked which was disappointing. Coming from the Crowne Plaza in Canberra, which is an older hotel, they have a fully stocked mini-bar, but a more luxury hotel being this one, does not.

Anyway, the check-in process was busy when i arrived, and staff were doing their best to get people checked in/out and get through the busy period, which was around 6pm on a Tuesday evening. I got to my room and rang up reception to ask if there were any upgrades available, as i had a simple small basic room, nothing special and over looking a busy street nearby. They said they had already upgraded me, and the room i was meant to be in was looking at the back laneway. It probably would of been a better room, as it would of been less quiet with traffic, but i stuck with what i had.
As a top tier Diamond member with IHG i would expect something more than this, i spend 70+ nights staying at IHG hotels and this hotel doesn't value its loyal members like others do, and only provides the bare minimum, i also see other reviews around the same sticking point - something to work on Crowne / IHG.

The rooms are comfortable, nice beds, pillows and they are sound proof from the hallway and you can get a great sleep due to the reduced noise from the nearby rooms and streets nearby.
The elevators are neat, tidy and really quick! They have a good system to get you to your floor which provides an added level of security, so thats a plus!

Buffet breakfast was good, a little different, as they have no hot food on the buffet, you need to order this off the menu, but typically, the food comes out quick, fresh and theres plenty of options! Once or twice they forgot my coffee order, and the food took 15minutes to come out, but other times it was to me within a few minutes, and the coffees are barista made and good!
My big gripe about breakfast is that you can't get a takeaway coffee, or a large mug to take back to your room. I usually grab breakfast, then take a coffee back to my room to do some work before attending meetings. They force you to go downstairs to the cafe in the lobby and pay for a coffee, which is rather cheeky if you ask me! This should be changed and takeaways or mugs should be offered in the buffet area.

The hallways and overall presentation of the hotel is clean, friendly and staff are helpful all throughout the hotel, including the bar which is in the lower level of the hotel, and stylish, fresh and draught beer.

The rooms have no Sky news or cable TV, which is a let down, but they do have the ability to Chromecast from your device, and have movies on demand. I would think for the price and the Crowne brand, you would have cable TV to the room, and provide Skkn news and other channels like CNN, but not at this stage!

The internet and movies on demand at times did drop out for 5-10 minutes a few times throughtout my stay, but eventually came back on, but it was annoying.

Room service meals were great, pricey, but they were delish! Pork loin chops, YUM YUM!

Houes keeping were good, quick refresh of the rooms, but the hand sanitizers need to be checked throughout the hotel more often as several times there was no sani left when i went to spray the hands.

Thanks for the stay, a few things to work on, but a comfortable hotel, rather pricey, but thats based on location, but overall not a bad fresh spot to stay in Sydney in the mix of the action.

Stayed here a few times, dealt with them for the last few years and have had no issues. Amazing service, wonderful hotel. Easy to deal with, highly recommend

A really nice hotel with great furnishings, a really comfortable bed, great amenities, really friendly and helpful staff and decent breakfast bar for the morning.

The staff were super friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Hotel was very clean and all the amenities were great. Location was very convenient to Darling Harbour. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic hotel for a short business stay in Sydney CBD. Location was great and the rooms and amentities themselves were spacious and clean. The included breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options including freshly made dishes. The staff really made the experience though - from start to finish, staff were accomodating, helpful and friendly. I'll defintitly be back.
