Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach, an IHG Hotel reviews
45 It was a comfortable and enjoyable trip with my daughter.
There is the joy of enjoying sunsets and sunrises from a hotel room with a view of the Pacific Ocean and Coogee Beach.
The room was not as described or an ocean view as requested. The bathroom was so small you could hardly move and had a bath shower with an unhygienic shower curtain - reminiscent of something out of the 1920's. The room was not particularly clean, and the room service was non-existent. Towels (small), toilet paper and other condiments were not replaced, nor was there a bar fridge. The rooms are old and are seriously overpriced for the marketed level of this hotel. It was very noisy with doors constantly being slammed during the day and night.
Cannot recommend this hotel enough! Service is awesome and the rooms are always lovely, bright & clean - the girls on front desk are friendly and helpful too!
Same as Shutters, went for a 60th birthday party. Great place, not as huge, a good thing, very personal service. Thank you.
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Location is fabulous just opposite the beach. Rooms are quite spacious with serviceable ensuites and excellent views from the balcony (if your room faces the sea). A pleasure staying there.
Had a nice staycation.
Great location and the refreshed room we got was good with the upgrade from recognition of IHG status.
The staff are all friendly and mostly attentive. It was said to be busy, but they did a good job hiding them from the lobby and the common areas.
Lots to keep the kids entertained if the beach wasn't enough.
Fantastic place! Charles and Ward helped us with checking in, and Jasper was great giving us a late checkout! Got to explore the beach one last time before leaving. Definitely will be coming back to this crowne plaza in the future with its amazing staff!
Nice clean hotel with an amazing location that's a very short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. An easy jumping off point for the walk to Bondi as well.
Friendly staff. Fabulous views of Coogee beach. Delicious food. The best mohito I've had in ages.
We spend a few relaxing days at this beautiful hotel. The views from the ocean facing rooms are wonderful. The restaurant is perfect for a quick bite. The local beach and walking trails provide lots to keep you occupied.
Friendly and helpful check in.perfect room.and super clean. So close to the beach and restaurants and bars.
Great location. Rooms are a bit dated. The mini bar was empty and there was no drinking water provided until I called reception. Front desk staff were nice.
You are constantly bothered by the planes sound flying over you.also the walls of the rooms are not sound proof enough. For the hotel with its premium price per night these shouldn't have been its problems.
Great service. Duty Manager Charles Bonnet went the extra mile during and after my stay. Perfect location.
Stayed for four nights recently. Hotel is at good location and views are great (recommend room with balcony). Toilets are tiny and congested.staff was very helpful and friendly. Our booking included breakfast and first two days we enjoyed the spread which was ok but then it was exactly same every day and it wasn’t very interesting. I would have loved to see change. Parking is $35 pn but if we have spare time you can easily find free overnight parking around the area. Overall our stay was ok and no major issues.
Their booking system/reception had a malfunction? They accepted on the phone a booking for [lets say] the 1st-2nd of September, and when we got there they said they'd made a mistake and accidentally put us down for [lets say] 31st August - 1st September. They apologised for their mistake, but said they were fully booked and just sent us home. We even got an email confirmation that our booking went through, and confirmation on the phone that yes, we had the booking for 1-2 September.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom is tiny, my head brushed the roof. There was zero water pressure, the water temp changed constantly. The sheets are cheap and do not fit the bed. The bed is lumpy, soft and very old. I was unable to sleep in the bed so I tried getting a trundle bed delivered.no that would cost more after paying over $500 dollars for an unusable king bed. Staff useless, facilities dated and sub standard bedding. Avoid this business if you want quality. I have stayed in better hostels for less than a 10th of the price of this polished t**d!
Stayed one night and was promised a premium room, big bathroom. When we arrived the bathroom was so tiny. Shower didn’t work properly. Pillows were so uncomfortable. Bed was so uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay there again. Was promised so much and didn’t deliver. Wasn’t happy
Great location
But the staff are terrible
They put me in a room at the end of the hotel and when I asked if I could go up a floor they wanted to change me another $100
Luckily I’m a club member or god knows what they would have treated me like
Good luck
Great spot but they need to train the staff to treat the guests like a guest not a pest
Only stayed 1 day and night. From time of check in, greeting from reception and help from Mary. Lunch and Dinner was delicious. Rooms clean and well stocked with necessary amenities. Parking is $35 over night for one entry.
