Cropley House

I had my wedding at Cropley House on July 1st this year.
The staff at Cropley were so helpful and accommodating as I bombarded them with thousands of questions and it was such a wonderful night. Three hectic months of planning and one interstate drive to meet then fiancé and family in Sydney led to a beautiful and magical night. I still cannot believe that with their help we pulled off such a feat in the small window of time. A special shout out to Olivia and Jasmine who were there on the night to calm my nerves and reassure me that everything was perfect.
All the guests loved the food and the wine selection. The dance floor was alive and crowded for most of the night and funnily enough the run sheet draft that Cropley provided (and after some adjustments here and there) was commented on as well.
I cannot sing their praises enough.

Been here twice now for two events and both times staff were amazing and service and food was great too.

We had external catering and the wait staff and event coordinator didn't communicate effectively with the caters. Overall it was a waster of our money. What was meant to be a special day for our family was ruined by the staff here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Their food is sub par also. Don't be fooled by the current 4.3 rating! It's not worth your time, money or the stress.

We had our wedding at Cropley House and it went very smoothly. The staff were great! Food was great! Olivia, the event coordinator, was so lovely and on top of things. The set up for our reception was executed really well. Very happy we chose Cropley House for our big day.

Highly recommend this one. We had an absolute blast at our wedding party 25th nov: tab 5 here. Service staff, entertainment, photography and MC for us, you guys make my coz’s wedding day magical and loving. From the photographer pinning my daughters dress together due to losing a button on her dress. The entertainment was amazing. So thank you.

Oh my god! We had our wedding, both ceromony and reception here in August and I cannot begin to explain how happy I was with everything. Keziah did such an amazing job helping me organise everything between the food, seating layout, rearranging decorations with me and calming my nerves and telling me it’s going to all workout in between all of her planning she does. If it wasn’t for her support i would have been a much more stressed bride! Our guests are still raving on about how nice the food was and the best wedding food they’ve had in a very long time, how beautiful the venue was and so much more. They were so accomodating on the day, there was so much parking for our guests and just overall one of the best days of our lives and a lot of that goes to the venue. Thank you

We had our reception for our wedding last Saturday and it was lovely. Everything went so well and we had no issues. CH moved our seating tables so that we could design where certain tables were situated. The food was delicious. Kudos to the chefs for the delicious food! Aldi, the DJ was very accomodating with dong choice. Olivia helped us a lot in making sure she understood our vision and she made it work! Thanks Olivia and the team at CH. We had a truly magical night!

I had thanks so much a perfect Halal food and meal and I really appreciate it very much and I enjoyed it very much and a lot. Thanks so much, it was a very pleasure time over there.

Awesome venue! Plenty of awesome spots to take photos inside and outside:) The function room is massive and the chandeliers with dimmers were perfect

Thank you to the Therese and Keziah at Cropley House. You made the process seamless and effortless while planning through covid. Having postponed twice after being in a lockdown, your communication throughout was appreciated. Service on the night was perfect, the venue manager ensured we were all comfortable and staff were constantly topping up beverages which was great to see. Food was great too compliments to the team at Cropley. Hope to return soon!

Had a good experience attending a wedding here.
The staff were lovely, interactive & polite. The venue itself was nice, vintage like and intimate with the room sizing. There was no bar per se, but the staff serving drinks were great anyway.
The amenities were on the second floor - so something to be mindful of there.
All round, I enjoyed my experience here & thought the food was delicious!

Had a great time here for a Wedding! Great atmosphere and the staff were wonderful and attentive. Top it off with great food to round out a really lovely night.

I attended a Wedding here a few weeks ago and I can't rave about this venue enough! I had the beef cheek for main which just melted in my mouth and the desserts were just to die for. The service was just impeccable. The staff were so friendly and efficient and really made everyone feel so welcome. If I had my time again, I would have definitely chosen this venue for my Wedding! I will 100% be recommending Cropley House.

The staff’s service was so pleasant. The venue is a traditional, fabulous and grand house. The gardens are beautiful when it’s perfect weather. Our friends really enjoyed the food and the service on the night. Will definitely book this place again for larger social gatherings.

After 2 other postponed wedding dates 2020 and 2021 at another venue due to covid we decided to use Cropley house for our wedding day which was meant to be today 21st January 2022. Unfortunately my fiance was diagnosed with covid 2 days before.
Olympia did not show any empathy for our situation and her lack of communication leading up to the day was unprofessional and very lacking.
She was quite rude to my fiance over the phone considering our day has been ruined. She now won't take our calls. My fiances mother went to the site and called her and she took 10 mins to come out and see her. She advised the directors would contact us but wasn't going to let us know. Right now we don't know whether we will lose thousands of dollars

I would not ever recommend this place. Even if we could still get married there we wouldn't. Olympia is the worst "sales executive" we have ever had to deal with. When we called our other service providers and most of them were very accommodating and showed empathy for our situation. Not so with Olympia as long as they have the money they couldn't care less.
We don't expect a full refund but at least a partial one would be nice.

Update: We were able to finally have our wedding after a 2 week postponement. Things went well and the catering staff did a great job.
Although we had an incident with a glass breaking in a guests mouth while drinking. And later when guests were leaving one of our elderly family members tripped and fell in the car park as part of it wasn't well lit. Luckily both were OK in the end despite some bruises.
No one on site bothered to help or check up to see if they were OK. Luckily another of our guests is a nurse and she was able to help.

Just be aware no one on-site seems to have any first aid training or if they do it wasn't apparent.

I still stand by my overall thoughts on this place not being a venue I would recommend to any other prospective clients.

Poor service with the exception of the catering staff, current management couldn't care less.

Let the buyer beware!

We had a combined 40th 50th at Cropley house in early Feb 2022. It was a Gangster Gatsby fancy dress. Olympia made all the prearrangments so easy, anything we needed to know or arrange was sorted quickly and professionally. On the night, Jasmin and the staff made sure everything was attended to. Even small changes to the schedule at the last minute we're not a problem. We had hired a roulette table, photobooth and DJ for the night as well. These were accommodated without a problem. Everyone of our guests said they had a great night and would like to do another party there. We cannot recommend Cropley House more highly for a function. We will definitely be arranging our next big function there. Thanks again to Jasmin and Olympia.

Attended a wedding last night, the service was terrible. There was a worm in my husband’s entree, we advised the waiter who stared at it blankly. After telling him again and pointing to the worm he took the plate away, no apology. Later returned with a different entree, no apology.

When service of mains began, my friend’s plate arrived first as she had a dietary requirement. When the wait staff brought over the rest of the table’s food, they MOVED my friend’s plate (she was away at the time) to the seat next to her and placed a different plate down. I informed the waiter that she has a dietary requirement and pointed to the place card stating her requirement. He looked at it and walked away. Another guest signalled him and re-informed him of the dietary requirement, to which he gave a puzzled look and called over another wait staff. They both stared at the dish and the place card then walked away.

Thankfully we witnessed the switch, however I would be questioning the staff’s ability to fulfil dietary requirements for guests. The food was good, but overall terrible experience with the wait staff. Would not recommend Cropley House.

I attended an wedding in Febuary for one of my closest friends. The staff and the manager Evelyn were very kind and attentive. The place looked amazing and the food was great. Keep up the amzing work Team!
