Cowra Van Park reviews
75 Had a great stay in one of the powered sites by the river at this park. The camp kitchen is well equipped and clean. The location is great because you can walk to town and the Japanese Garden which is about 2km away, which is a must see. The office staff were helpful and flexible allowing us to move sites upon check in. There is also a large open sports park next door.
If you're looking for a good food/drinks option check out the Cowra Club. It's not a night club, don't get too excited but they have VERY affordable beer/wine/alcohol and the food options are inexpensive and large in portion size. Better than some of the pubs in town.
An oasis in the middle of NSW. Couldn’t recommend this park any higher. Fantastic location, can walk to everything. Doesn’t have a pool but community pool next door. Can’t wait to come again. Everything so clean and green
Wonderful park - well kept and sparkling after recent floods - Mitch and Stacey really friendly and helpful. The river along side, and main street with and numerous eateries (take away/dine in) just a few meters away, and up the road the small Bunnings staff really cheerful when getting some bits and pieces and gas exchange. Speedking washing machines and dryers in the park excellent ($3 per wash or dry) Park kitchen delightful. Stacks of books! Even though a small park, well set out and easy to park our 8m caravan, on one of the many drive through sites. We decided to stay a second night to take time at the lovely Japanese Gardens. Some traffic noise, but nothing to worry us even tough we are light sleepers. This park deserves 5 stars! It does however full up quickly we noticed, so in busy time, may be wise to ring ahead.
Cowra Valley van park is located on the edge of the town centre. It is beside a busy road, but I didn't find the traffic noise a problem at night. One side of the site overlooks the river and park, which means that it feels fresher and more open than you would expect from its location. It is within walking distance of the Japanese Garden and similar local places of interest.
The amenities deserve high praise: very clean and VERY well thought-out. The kitchen is in a well-lit, enclosed room (wonderful in midwinter). There are two stove tops with four rings each, suitable for preparing soups, casseroles, pasta dishes, etc. Two large sinks with hot water. A television and a large bookcase of books for entertainment.
The shower block is warm - again, welcome in midwinter - and the showers have the sensible design feature of a door between the shower itself and the area where you leave your clothes.
Extremely clean and tidy Caravan Park. Exceptionally well maintained grounds and everything one would need in a Caravan Park for an exceptional stay. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. Competitive rates and beautiful views with Sunsets that will not disappoint. Spacious level sites with very reasonably sized concrete slabs. Well done to the owners and caretakers of this Caravan Park.
Just checked this afternoon, this is our 7th Park on this trip. We are already so impressed a beautiful park so immaculately maintained from The grounds to The ammenities, with a lovely outlook.our favourite park so far! Well managed and friendly Receptionist too! Highly recommended
A friendly, helpful Team at Cowra Van Park located on the Lachlan River and high and dry. Lush green lawns and flat concrete sites all well organised. Very clean park/amenities and a short walk to the town centre for everything. So Park and Walk. Visit the Cowra Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre if time permits - just stunning and good for the soul. Thanks for the short but memorable stay at Cowra.
3 of us shared a cabin.recently refurbished.clean and comfortable. We were able to store our bikes in a spare cabin.secure and out of the rain. Friendly helpful staff.great van park. Highly recommend.
A very clean and well run caravan park. Walking distance from the shops. Road noise was minimal and not a disturbance. The birds, however, were a different matter but that is a fact of life in this part of Australia and not a basis for criticism. The slab sites are along the river bank, nice view, but are under the trees the birds call home. Thus, you get bombarded with chewed up sheoak seeds, branches, and occasionally poo. We would definitely stay here again, but would book a grass site away from the sheoaks.
Lovely riverside location.
Lots of trees.
Nice facilities.
Needs a pool.
Absolutely incredible! We recently stayed at the Cowra Van Park on a powered site. The park is very well maintained and up kept. The amenities block is squeaky clean and tidy, the showers are generously sized have great water water pressure as well as good hot water. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I highly recommend this place as a must stay when visiting Cowra.
Stayed here 6 nights between Christmas and New Year. Beautiful and green grounds, clean amenities. Walking distance to shops, pubs and clubs. Washing machines very affordable. Would definitely recommend your next stay. Park does become busy in the afternoons. May need to book.
Great caravan park, beautiful grounds, position perfect for walk to town, shops, pubs etc.the amenities are among the best we have seen and the owners/managers are honest and friendly. Great caravan park in a great little town.
Reasonably-priced cabin No. 8. Needs a door stop to 2nd bedroom before door knob damages wall. Bathroom window needs re-sealing after heavy rain
Stayed 2 nights last week, facilities were excellent, spotless considering two days before we arrived the whole park was flooded, you would have never known, the staff did an amazing job of cleaning up. The location is great in walking distance to shops, would certainly stay there again.
Beautiful park recommend staying there, friendly staff, very clean amenities, Could of stayed longer,
Very neat and tidy park. Good facilities, camp kitchen and proximity to town helpful hosts
Great place to stay!
Very well maintained park by very welcoming and helpful people. Thanks.
Close to road, close to everything you need, not as quiet as we expected, you can see the street lights, road traffic, pizza delivery… overall it’s ok, however if you like real camping, here is not suitable for you.
Close to shops and walks, very clean ammeneties and the owner is very helpful and friendly, could not fault it.
