Cow & The Moon reviews
67 Here is my best gelato icecream shop ever! Especially the texture is so good.
I hope to try all flavours of cow and the moon
Delicious and wide range of gelato and other baked goods! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Staff were really nice. The shop was playing music that I really liked although they didn't fit the vibes of a gelato place. I had the peanutzilla flavour on top of the mandorla affogato.
Great for after meal! Loved it!
First opened in Enmore in 2010, this family run, artisan gelateria churns fresh gelato all day everyday. Exceptional attention to detail and quality, honoured with local and international success. Cow and the Moon is a neighbourhood institution.
It’s a very busy place, always a long waiting queue from the street because it worth it. They have many flavours fruits to all types of nuts. I’m highly recommended to try and you will definitely love it!
Deliciously decedent gelato and strong coffee. Highly recommend the raspberry cheesecake and biscoff flavours
Mooooooooooooooooooooooove over gelato Italiano because we've got a new fat cow in town babey. The ice cream was a tad too cold but I just watched an episode of Seinfeld and by the second act it was just right. Perfect ice cream makes me want to SCREAM help help help!
I got the pistachio gelato, and it didn't disappoint. The texture was incredibly creamy, and the flavor was great. You can actually choose two flavours (but the person serving me didn't make it clear that it wouldn't add to the cost so I only got the flavour.). Luckily my friend got two!
I think my expectations were a bit too high given that it won the World's Best Gelato Maker Title in 2014. That being said, a visit to Cow & The Moon is definitely worthwhile.
Horrible service received by a young lady on shift tonight 1st September. Her customer service was horrible. She said to me if I can't find a seat to leave, then refused to serve me when I questioned her overcharging me, which she did
Unbelievable and disappointing service
Excellent gelato.
Great coffee.
Friendly staff offering a pleasant experience overall.
Probably my favourite gelato with weekly staff specials and flavours to keep you interested each time you venture in for a taste. Black and blue is my all time favourite for the sour tangy fruit flavour or the highest selling affogato
Inner city sydney late night sweet spot.caring staff doing their best to adhere to covid protocols while still serving up gelato with a smile under the mask.while the patrons secure a small seat outside to devour the deliciously unique ice cream assortment
One of the best place to get an ice-cream in Newtown. Definitely give it a try and go for the the new flavours rather than the classic one. We tried Amore mio and the hokey pokey. Love it!
Customer service is awful.it was my first visit and I had just one query, one young girl staff didn't even bother to listen or reply, instead she made a rude and impatient face and just gave me a cup I didn't even ask for. I just walked away.i don't care how good the icecreams are, if the customer service is this horrible, it's no good.
This place has become a bit of an obsession of mine recently. Their pistachio ice cream is the most delicious I’ve ever had, especially paired with either toasted coconut or coconut & lime one. My daughters also liked the after dinner mint. However, other flavours we tried are a little bland, although the ice cream itself is rich and creamy as it should be.
Worth the queue. Also appreciate their small size comes with 2 flavours, medium comes with 3, so you can taste several flavours. I tried the orange poppyseed, tirimisu, and after dinner mint, they were super great. With summer heating up though it was getting melted quickly so don't spill on yourself!
A locals hotspot and a visitors MUST! Seriously, there is a genius 'out the back' working around the clock thinking up these epic, magical flavours, constantly changing on the menu. The talent of the chef is obvious as you cast your eye over the highly creative flavours. I wish I was there right now. (I am also a chef of sorts and take food very, very seriously) ;) I also just read they have taken out an award on a global scale a few years ago. There is a reason why. Get down there!
Hazelnut flavour is nice. Sour berry x pistachio flavour is little bit weird (sour berry is not my favourite but they don’t offer plain pistachio). Mango flavour is ok but the nuts are little over roasted.) not very creamy/thick, melted in a very short time.
There is an employee who is so incredibly massive! I couldn't stop looking at his biceps and he was also incredibly nice. I think he deserves a higher rank in this fine establishment. But the ice cream was incredibly mediocre.
Simply the best gelato style ice cream. A good selection of good old and interesting new flavours. Some favourites are Strawberry Balsamic Pannacotta, Black Sesame, Raspberry White Chocolate and Pistachio. The ice-cream is super smooth with no perceptible ice crystals. It leaves your palate refreshed without a fatty after taste showing the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail in the production process. They also have a good selection of sorbet for the dairy intolerant in your group along with coffee and cakes on offer. For a couple, grab a multi scoop tub with two spoons and share because it is more economical than two singles. Ordinarily it can get busy at peak times and seating is very limited - but they are only doing takeaway during COVID.
Cow and the Moon ice cream has been a favourite for years ever since discovering it on a trip to Sydney many years ago. Now living in Sydney it is a special trip across the city. You must try Cow and the Moon ice cream, I guarantee you will be back for more.
