As for the location, it was expected for 200 dollars a night, but with the rooms, it had an extremely poor design regarding the bathroom. The toilet bowl cover had to be closed to use the flush and the bathtub curtains no matter which direction it was closed in the water came out the room came with no slippers or bathrobes they stuffed the rooms in the reception floor and the hallways looked liked it was in a old rundown basement

Away from the center and the price is very similar to hotels in the city center. Silence peace. The rooms are tidy and cold inside, like a fridge:) close to the shopping center. Very helpful staff.

Your workplace took me to the seminar, it was a very clean and beautiful hotel. I would like to go as a family.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights during end of Dec 2022. Here is our experience:
Location and Amenities - Located very close to a Metro station, making it easy to catch public transport and reaching CBD in about half an hour. There is also a bus stop right next to the hotel. A shopping centre is a short stroll away and there are plenty of fast food and quality restaurants within walking distance.
The building and decor is high quality. Facilities are clean and well maintained. We had free secure car park on site, which was a great bargain.

Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is highly recommended with a hugh variety of continental, healthy and vegan options available. There is something for every taste and dietary need. Variety of options for kids including the fussy ones. Due to Christmas holidays, the hotel was very busy but there was no shortage of food. The staff handled all the customers with a smile on their face. Kudos to all of them!

Rooms: Rooms are very spaciious and high quality linen and decor used. We returned to a clean, great smelling room every evening. There is a fridge, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and kettle etc.available. The rooms were exactly as shown in the photos.

Customer Service: Excellent Customer service provided by all staff. They are well trained and professional, making every interaction smooth as possible.

Summary: Overall a great place to stay with family or even by yourself. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely consider it on my next trip to Sydney.

A great hotel! A member of my family is a silver member of the company so we stayed in a really nice room with a few extra gifts.there was a box of macarons sitting on the desk (?) near the door, as well as a marriot water bottle for $5.the room overall is really great.our room had two double beds, a super spacious bathroom, a really comfortable couch next to the window and a table & chair.for my family of 4, it was great.the restaurant is also very nice.there isn't the largest selection of food but what they offer is very nice.overall i enjoyed my stay here and i would recommend anyone who is skeptical about staying to make a booking here.

The worst stay for a holiday and it carries Marriott name the service was very poor the breakfast was bad no service over booked breakfast no food. Will never stay in Marriott again.

I went for a workshop and I would recommend 100%. We work for 2 days in one of the meetings room. Amazing service and very helpful staff. The meals were delicious and with many different options. Thank you!

This hotel was quite disappointing considering it carries the Marriot name. There is only one major thing I care about in a hotel room and that's a comfy bed. The bed that I had was springy, but hard as a rock. I woke up everyday more sore than the previous day.

To add, the plug setup in the room was a mess and there was minimal light options for the room at night. There was no way to have my smart watch and phone plugged in next to me AND the side table lights. This might sound petty, but even the spot where the usb plugins were had no surface to sit on, so they had to rest on the couch.

Speaking of the couch. There was a nasty whitish stain that I think anyone could guess to what it is and that made using this lovely couch extremely unappealing. I know that they can't control what people do and where they do, but come on. It's so inappropriate to just leave it for the next guest to see.

Perhaps I was unlucky in getting a more dated room as the shower in my room looked older than the one in the pictures. When I say older, I mean that if you are short, you just about need a bridge to get into the shower as the tub edge is so wide.

In saying that, the shower pressure was AMAZING. It is the only thing keeping me from giving 2/1 stars.

The window is also a full wall, which is great during the day, but as stated previously, not helpful if you need to work at night.

The hdmi on my TV didn't work and the remote control was missing a battery. The wifi was pretty good in comparison to other hotels I have stayed and there was LAN cables everywhere, even the bathroom.

Moving on to the hotel itself, it's in a ridiculously convenient spot. The city bus drops you off right in front of the building. It was also only a 10 minute walk to my work. And just under a 20 minute walk to a major shopping centre with heaps of food options and shopping.

The buffet is expensive, but if you eat a lot, it's worth it. They always have good fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurts, salads, a variety of cereals, toasts with a toasting station, a pancakes station and quite a few hot plates with eggs bacon, sausage, etc. You can special order coffee and different eggs than scrambled at no extra cost. It will cost you $40 per person, though.

The staff were all polite and the rooms were clean.

Unfortunately, our fridge leaked water on to the tiled floors overnight. 2 of the kids managed to slip and fall and hirt themselves. Once we calmed them down and they got in the shower, we realised it was broken. Frustrating. Then, as we were about yo hit the kids dressed, we realised the iron didn't work either!

We let receptionist know (Atef) who was nice enough saying "I can understand that must have been very annoying for you" but then stated that the hotel doesn't have maintenence on the weekends.

The level of service here isn't what one expects from a marriot hotel. I'm a member of their bonvoy club, and I'll be raising these issues with their team.

Great place to stay, outside of downtown with easy access to the metro for public transit into downtown. The staff were amazing, and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Not something that I expected for a 4star hotel.the service was acceptable overall.just a bit problem with one incident, when I asked a replacement batteries for the remote controller, I were asked to buy it opposite the road? ! Like seriously?

Worst ever. We have no time to use Stay NSW voucher so I called twice today to make sure it is accepted at the restaurant in this place. Both people who took the call said yes. We then had dinner and they refused to take the voucher and even after I paid with credit card, the manager didn’t care to apologise for the mistakes their staff made.

Good location but Very poor service experiences. Last night when a person tried to open my door with his room card, I was terrified. The hotel with no apologies because the front desk staff gave the wrong message to the person. This afternoon I was disturbed by a noisy call when I was sleeping, her attitude was unfriendly and rude, in the end I asked for tissue and toilet paper, but when a housekeeper delivered, he used his room card opened my room door directly and tried to walk in, finally I stopped him. Do you hotel recruits staff with no training and inexperienced? It's too terrible to stay here!

PROS

- Booking, check-in and check-out was a breeze.
- Warm, helpful and friendly staff members.
- Complimentary Shuttle Service around Macquarie Park area. Big shoutout to Timothy and Toby for driving me to my destination and for the lovely chat during the short trip. A pleasure to meet you both!
- Clean and comfortable bed and pillows.
- High-speed Internet connection.
- Not particularly extensive but good enough selection for breakfast.
- Excellent location! Only a few distance away from Macquarie Shopping Centre, Macquarie University, Bus stops and Train Stations.

CONS

- The property feels so outdated to the point that some of the furniture are already tattered. I had to email front desk and send photo of the Sofa in my room because it has a pretty huge tear on it (see photo), to ensure I won’t get charged for the damage.
- Lacking dental kits in bathroom amenities.
- Housekeeping cannot be reached. I called more than thrice to ask if dental kits & slippers are available but the line just keeps on ringing. This is just roughly around 5pm in the afternoon.
- In-room kettle was a bit dusty. Which kinda makes one question how deeply cleaned the room is.
- Minibar sadly isn’t cold enough.

IN CONCLUSION:

It was not the best, but a pretty good stay for its price. Had a relaxing sleep. Most of the basic requirements have been met although a property upgrade soon would be really nice. I particularly loved their efforts in encouraging guests to go plastic free by providing a re-usable water bottle for a minimal fee of $5 which you can easily just re-fill in the Bistro downstairs. Might be inconvenient for some, but this will help a lot in reducing our carbon footprint. The warmth and extreme friendliness of the staff definitely makes up for all the evident flaws.

Will I come back and stay again? Definitely!

I did a one off job as a dishwasher, the staff were so kind and helpful but the guy who let me work HAS NOT PAID ME! And it’s been nearly four weeks. I was kind and patient about it all but he has ignored my calls and texts and has said “next Thursday” multiple times now, but for a week now, I’ve received no response at all. His name is Robin and he’s a rude person!

Service bad, AC in suite not working, kids hot sick overnight, TV remote needs batteries and no room service available after waiting 20 minutes on phone. No sugar or tea available.
Paid $1000 for 2 nights plus upgrade from my club Mariott membership in place diesnt worth $100.
Very bad experience.

Check in was quick and easy. Room service was not great at all. Sometimes used towels were kept in the room with fresh towels in the toilet and sometimes used ones taken away with no towel in the toilet. Breakfast included was nice with ok options for Dinner.

Had a fantastic experience staying here. The service was honestly incredible. Every time we asked for anything they were so prompt at our door within a few minutes.
The only level of feedback I would say would be the variety at buffet breakfast. There wasn't any form of cheeses or cold meats to have and not too much variety, but that could be as a result of Covid Restrictions. I would recommend this place to everyone, was clean and tidy.
