Country Comfort Motto Farm Motel (Newcastle Airport)

It's ok, get back to a basic way of living, but have to keep looking for affordable accommodation to suit my needs.

I can only speculate, but this struck me as the Australian version of the Bates Motel (the older one, when various acts had more visual appeal). The ageing security person, who patrols the carpark, was unkind to me, and I was left in a state of severe unhappy. Hence, I have little concern at leaving a poor review. Stay somewhere else (pro tip, don't stay in Newcastle at all).

She's been able to make sure that I am so glad that I am so not going to be able to find a place to stay with which I have received the picture of truthful and accurate to make sure that I have received the picture of the best way possible As a great time and consideration towards the picture of the beautiful and very good attitude of the staffing services and that I am so not able to make a few more questions about the fact that I am so glad that I have been able to get 100%service

Witnessed the security guard, Peter. Stealing a pair of women's underwear from the washing machine. Only to later find them in the laundry toilet like this.

I have stayed at this place multiple times I believe it's well over price for them rooms because multiple of the air cons do not work properly and very outdated, $165 if you're a normal guess $155 if your business I think that is a outrageous price when the rooms are lacking in "maintenance" the female staff is really nice but the Gentleman's are very rude!
It would be really nice if they can start paying attention to their rooms and show some guess a bit more courtesy!

Room was clean and comfortable.
It’s 3 star vibe but the shower was hot and strong. Have clearly been in the business for years a shame covid affected it like many others as well.

2.15 am on January 20th 2023. Actually it would not have even made the ‘poor’ rating had I been able to post a review without a single star. Definitely a minus on all stars. We didn’t even make it to the room as the guy the front desk ‘Peter’ I think his name was…not only did he want to charge $170 for a basic room for 4 hours sleep, but he was so rude, dismissive and repugnant. Clearly making plenty and doesn’t need repeat customers. Good luck with all that, mate. No thanks. Going by the 3 bad reviews I’ve already read straight up, we were not missing out on anything with this dump. Avoid.

Friendly staff and was disappointed that the buffet breakfast advertised wasn’t available. Was provided a bacon and egg roll instead which was delicious

Looks good from the highway, but after spending the one night at $178.00 I was expecting at least 3 1/2 star. Walked in and was hit by a musty stink. The bed looked clean, but the bathroom had hair around the sink and was cracked. Place was also used for emergency housing with kids running around the car park kicking balls about into people’s car scooters lying in the car park.
Egg and bacon roll for breakie was nice but hardly pushed the value to $178 for the two of us.

This place was really disgusting I walked in there and there was smooshed food on the carpet, dried noodles and food crumbs in the corner of the bathroom, it smelt absolutely revolting and I actually gaged when I walked in, I was unable to use the showers due to the fact that the water smelt bad and was brown, there was mice running around everywhere, the people were loud and I would never stay there or recommend anyone else staying there! Very disappointed in this matter!

Nice rooms, serviced daily. Love the complimentary bacon and egg roll and espresso coffee for breakfast at your desired time.

Been a long term client of this motel for about a decade now, but I think last nights stay was my last ever stay. The heavily potholed driveway & roads in the complex were not a great start. The room was ok, starting to show it's age, the A/C was okay. The next door room the pipes screamed whenever they used a tap or the shower, & the pillows on the bed were next to useless as they were as flat and deflated as a party balloon. It used to be a great value for money motel when the buffet breakfast was on, but now seems overpriced for an aging, unkept property where a small burnt coffee & an egg & bacon roll that's been under a heat lamp for a while is the best they can offer. Sorry, but you have lost me as a client/patron.

Best stop for Brisbane to Sydney drive, 24hrs checking-in and a bacon and egg roll on morning departure.

There was no cooking utensils or cutlery

Mould in the kitchen

Cockroaches

Drawers were broken

Do not recommend staying here especially if you have young children

No WIFI in room

As like a lot of the other reviews, sad to say it's not as good as it once was. It is a shame there is not breakfast buffet, and appears to be like other reviews flood, fire and or for people waiting for housing which doesn't leave many rooms for people passing through or holidaying. Employees are fine just the way the business is ran. Sorry

24hr check-in is fantastic, you can even grab a cold beer or beers at anytime. I love it when you get caught short on driving hours.

Cockroach galore junkies everywhere not a good stay what so ever someone even tried to break into my car

For temp accommodation for the homeless I'd rather sleep on the streets, purchased bleach to clean the bathroom, bed bug bites all over our ankles and legs. The bed stunk so bad we had to buy a sheet to cover the bed.
Watched the cleaner work her magic after our departure, the sheets were not changed. Yellow stains all over the curtains from previous residents smoking. German cockroaches present throughout the room. Hard for the homeless with no transport to stretch their money, no local shops apart from servos. Grateful for the air-conditioning

Disgusting service, rooms, environment. If you want a houso experience head on down to motto farm motel as I believe it must be the emergency ACC for the homeless as there were drunk kids, druggies etc roaming around all night with the wanna be bouncer trying to expel them instead of being on reception.

Was there for emergency housing and was told to leave at 2 am in the rain and my partner had to leave our child asleep in the room by herself to bring me the car as I was refused any further entry because Peter was too lazy to do his job during the day when an issue that had arose could have been fixed, also employees weren't wearing masks either, if they work the camera's would have the evidence of that
