The receptionist sent me to Wollongong ED as my son is young and said he'd probably need an xray. So I had to drive there, find a park and walk into Ed with my sick 4 year old who was very nauseated.

Wollongong ED checked him out and have been great, no scans needed. I'm sure the docs at Corrimal would have been able to help too, they just didn't seem to want a patient on a Sunday maybe? Disappointed they wouldn't even see him for a physical examination.

Bulli urgent care is much better when it's open.

I recently had the privilege of being cared for by two exceptional nurses after an unfortunate incident where I cut my toe. Their expertise and compassion were truly outstanding. From the moment they entered the room, their calming presence put me at ease, making a stressful situation much more bearable. Their meticulous attention to my wound showcased their professionalism, and they took the time to explain each step of the treatment, alleviating any concerns I had. What stood out the most was their genuine empathy and the way they went beyond their medical duties to comfort me emotionally. Their kindness transformed a potentially distressing experience into one where I felt supported and cared for. I am immensely grateful for the exceptional care provided by these two nurses, and their dedication reflects the highest standard of healthcare professionalism.

Thorough and friendly doctor and nurses. Whole process took 2 hours that included X- rays and wound care. I’ve waited far longer at emergency just to be seen. Will definitely come back if need be.

Very thorough
Very good
Very long long wait.
But that what you get, when it is a triage system.
Worst in first seen.
Presented with my toddler we both had varying symptoms, sore throats high temps, cough.
Got put straight into an isolation room, and the wait began. A long wait though we were kept informed and told not forgotten just busy as there is more urgent cases than us.
Totally understood.
When we were seen the nurse was very thorough in taking of medical history, and observations.
Finally got to see the doctor after a few more most urgent cases one of which was raced by ambulance to hospital.

The Dr was kind gave me options on our treatment plan giving me choices andl istened to my queries and answered my questions.

Had a great experience there most happy.
Staff friendly and very knowledgeable, unfortunately it is a long wait if busy.
Wish they had more funding for extra staff

FYI was so impressed a few weeks later, we were back with another urgent medical issue.
And yes recieved the same high started of care.

Came here with my 17th month old at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. I have never had him checked so thoroughly and was out within an hour with a script for him. Great alternative to the emergency room when you’re just not quite sure if you need to go.

Older person with asthma presents with suspected chest infection and breathing issues waits 2 and half hours only to be told by a nurse that 'more urgent' cases are going first (likely their regular patients) and I would be waiting even longer.
As I had toddler grandson with me who needed a nappy change and a sleep, I had no choice but to leave before seeing a doctor.
I guess if I end up unable to breathe I will just call an ambulance

Urgent care? Definitely not the case, don’t waste your time going there, you’re better off going straight to the ED. I attended this so called urgent care medical practice for my 3 1/2 year old who was in pain. The doctor had no idea what he was looking for, my son was in need of medical treatment but he refused to give anything or diagnose, he said he doesn’t know what the actual issue is because MY 3 YEAR OLD DIDN’T COMMUNICATE WITH HIM ABOUT HIS SYMPTOMS! His exact words were “well he didn’t want to communicate with me” even though my child was screaming in pain. He further told me if he gets worse to take him to ED OR MY GP IN THE MORNING. Well if you can’t diagnose the issue why are you practicing?
I did take him to my GP in the morning and within 2 seconds of seeing the issue he diagnosed him and gave him immediate treatment!
Never walking into that medical centre ever again.
Very VERY upsetting.
