Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club reviews
63 We were there fir a friends birthday round and had come from all over Oz and NZ.
LWell received at reception and the visitor process was quick and easy.
We played the West course and were really enjoying it until we got rained off by thunder, lightning and heavy rain.
We later had some beautiful hot food on serving platters.
All together a great experience and highly recommended.
The food here was surprisingly good. Its a Bistro style and there's a daily specials board. The restaurant has lovely views of the river. The wines from the wine list were good too. There's an outdoor seating area. The dining room is large and Club style. The food and drinks are very good value and a pleasant setting.
What a total disappointment.greeted at the front reception by a lady who should have retired 30years ago.her customer service skills was zero, well below par.this old duck should be wallowing in the pond on the last hole. Absolutely rude as.
Food was not fit for human consumption.only worms would eat this stuff. Fish and chips straight out of a Coles pack and boiled in a vat of oil!
Course is great.
I came here after seeing the bistro's reviews and honestly, it was worth the hype. There are great options and it was amazingly delicious. Ambience is a 10 too
We went here with a friend last weekend, the food is delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful
Went there for lunch after going to a show a Twin Towns. The place is really well situated on the Tweed River. Enjoyed the helpfulness of all of the staff on the day.
Lovely course but slowest round. 2hrs 35 mins for 9 holes. At times 5 groups on the one hole, all waiting. No course marshals to hurry people along. First 2 holes took 50 mins.
A new cafe inside the club with views over the Tweed River, good coffee and had a BLT food is made fresh to order and very relaxing place enjoying watching tee off over the golf club
Played the River Course on 10/01/23. Interesting layout in excellent condition. The poor review rating is due to the unwelcoming and unhelpful attitude of the Pro Shop staff, particularly Craig Smith. I booked online 1 week before on the West course and forgetting about daylight saving, I called up to change the booking to push it back by an hour. The gentleman I spoke to at the time saw the booking and said it was no problem.
When I arrived a week later for my tee time (10 mins before tee off) I was told by Craig that there was no booking, it was impossible for me to have booked on the west course due to a comp and I was late.
He did not try to help or find me another tee time, instead he insinuates that I was lying about my booking and looking a for free game. I showed my registration email. If I hadn’t driven an hour to play I would have told them to forget it. Instead I basically begged for a tee time and then happily paid the green fee.
Bookings get lost and I managed to play, but I’ve never felt so unwelcome.
Most beautiful Club in all the world!
Please bring back the international entertainment!
You have the facilities
Great course, friendly people and Voltage Batteries was more then happy to install these 8v Delkor Golf Cart Batteries into a members buggy.
The golf course is in outstanding condition.we played the west course. The staff are very freindly and helpful. Facilities are very good, great location for lunch. The PRO shop is fully stocked with an amazing amount of clubs, shoes and clothes ect. The golf pro Jarrod has a state of the art fitting facility for those looking to be fitted for new clubs. Over all a very enjoyable experience.
Got fitted with Jared for a driver. Great service and advice on the golf stimulator. Def be back for some new irons. Also huge pro shop with a massive range of gear.
This is a fantastic club's.
Played for my mate's. 50th birthday party last night in this club. & it was the best'. The guy's here are the best.they looked after us all night. & the food the kitchen served was the best'. & plenty of it'. The bar staff 'Tony & Brynn were fantastic'. Nothing was too much for them. I was really great full for there help with the gig'. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to play gig's there again. We all had the best party ever'. Thanks guy's. 10. ️
I have just joined the club and it has been a fantastic experience for me, the girls in the office have been very accommodating and helpful. The staff great and the members are very inviting of new members.
Brilliant club. 2 courses, both in immaculate condition and well kept by both staff and members. Friendly atmosphere
Nice location. Basic menu. Friendly staff and nice prices. Couldn't see the water from where we were though.that would have been the fifth star
On Thursday 26 April along with another member played social golf with some friends and treated them out to golf at the club. Collectively we spent approx $200 on rounds, balls, food and drinks.
Unfortunately the customer service at the food bar upstairs was unprofessional, lacked any real genuine urgency and acknowledgement due to prejudgemental and ignorance and staff far too consumed in their own personal chit chat even though well aware a customer/member is waiting and ready to be served. When pulled up about it excusess, denial and an insincere apology due to guilt and only was forthcoming. Basically real poor, rubbish service.
Only 4 days earlier on Sunday 25 along with a approx 27 x other friends we played and collectively easily spent approx $2500.
As a member more than happy to to encourage and influence friends and associates to golf at Tweed. Also aware the of the economic realities and benefits to any golf club and especially during the present economic climate, with golf rounds, days and revenue lost due to bad weather, etc.
Let's hope this can serve as a warning and wake up call to staff, management that getting golfers onto the Course is one thing, but let's not take it for granted that when they walk upstairs and are likely to spend extra that they may return unless individually we all seal the deal and provide sincere, genuine customers service and at all times.
On a positive note, admittedly have only experienced top notch, and exemplary service at the halfway houses and pro shop.
A very well maintained course that definitely lives up to is name.
A good challenging course with greens that roll as the read
I was working outdoors at this golf club but from what I could see it looked like a very nice place. Busy for a Saturday morning and located in a very nice spot.
