Highly recommend Coogee real estate. As a first time renter they were always super helpful and quick to respond to any problems or queries. Our property manager Rod was always very friendly, pleasant to deal with and any problem was solved in just a few short days.

I’ve been a tenant renting from CRE for the past 7 years and the last 2 years have been nothing short of terrible.

The communication is almost nonexistent and the only time they will respond to any emails is when they want to add a rental increase. When there was a leak in the property it took multiple emails to get someone round to look at the roof and then further rounds of emails to come and deal with the stains on the walls (which we should have cleaned ourselves apparently…). In total it took over 6 months from the leak happening to them organising the fix and the painting which let mould into the apartment.

To say they do nothing is an understatement. They rely on the tenants to do any upkeep or improvement work. We’ve had to manage all tradespeople doing improvements on the flat by ourselves including the installations of new windows and French doors. They would ask us (not the trades people) for updates on installs and if they heard anything from the contractors then they would never pass on the information.

There’s also 0 care factor for the property. After the new windows were installed, instead of asking us about the blinds, they’ve reinstalled the old blinds (that don’t fit the windows properly) by drilling them straight into the new window frames. They’ve also (despite it being over a year since the install) come round to the property to check on the work.

The viewings they host are a joke. I had to answer questions from prospective tenants on the property, the location and the local services. They didn’t even know whether there was a parking space or a laundry room…

I really struggle to see how they warrant being paid any money at all by landlords based on a nonexistent set of services that’s fronted by some pretty rude and obnoxious staff.

Good luck to landlords who have their properties managed by these guys (especially those managed by Kate…) and if you’re considering renting through them I would run for the hills.

Donna Rooke at Coogee Real Estate is a wonderful agent/property manager. We recently rented out our home and her advice was extremely helpful. She worked with us to plan and prepare for rental, and once she found us tenants, has been meticulous in managing the details. She’s also had good ideas for minimising expenses & is great at following things up quickly. Definitely recommend.

The service at Coogee Real Estate was great, always efficient and very responsive. My property managers were friendly, easy to contact and helpful. Rod was especially patient! Any maintenance issues were dealt with within a couple of days. Signing the contract was signed online, which made things so easy during covid and the end of lease was quick and easy too! I’d recommend using them for sure!

Phoebe is a legend and really went out of her way to help us! Donna is very responsive to any issues we’ve had and are resolved in a matter of days. Has been a pleasure dealing with CRE.

As a nervous real estate amateur downsizing after many years in an empty nest, I was thrilled to have Donna Rooke come on the journey with me. Renting through Rod was so smooth and easy that I forgot I had a property!

Tenants were very happy too, had an issue late at night and had it fixed first thing the next morning.

Bad service - I emailed the real estate, notifying the link to book an inspection is not working for me and I was highly interested in inspecting the property. The real estate agent let me know the inspection was on the 3/July. I asked if I could book it manually over email then as the link was not working. They said 'unfortunately not'. It was the worst service I have ever been provided. Unhelpful and unprofessional.

From start to finish I found James to be both extremely professional and personable.

His expertise, hard work and guidance was of great value however, it was probably the transparency shown throughout the process that we valued the most.

We were kept up-to-date on any and all developments, and he allowed us the space needed to plan our next move.
