Concordia Club reviews
53Doilies, plastic flowers, live band (accordian), dancing, cheap wine, huge schnitties and even huger pork knuckles! This place is the most delightful and hysterical place to hang out for a Sunday lunch. You cannot leave without eating strudel for dessert.
It gets very busy here on the weekends, so book ahead. The German beer is on tap and tastes very good. The Schnitzels are huge and the pork knuckle is epic. My fav is schnitzel with mushroom sauce, red cabbage and spaetzle. Inside its a bit chintzy - lots of lace, so I prefer to sit outside on the plastic benches. Good for kids as they can run around in the nearby parks.
One of the oldest clubs in Sydney. Established late 1800. These days if you like different environment and German Beer and Schnitzel this is the place to visit. Herzliche Grusse!
My favourite weekend local, especially the first Sunday of the month for live music and dancing
German club across from Tempe station with lawn bowls. Traditional German food including schnitzels and sausages (not a place for vegetarians).
The club itself is fairly drab but it has a certain charm and attracts a few patrons from the area.
Wonderful dining place for the whole family, authentic German cuisine, and if you are lucky you'd be able to see the accordionist perform! If you see their homemade apple strudel available for sale, go for them, absolutely delicious and they are usually gone very quickly! The staff were very kind and pointed me to their parent's room when I needed to breastfeed my baby, and the place is stroller- and child-friendly. Needless to say we'd be visiting again.
Poor quality food, pork knuckles was cooked considerably earlier and re heated. The crackling was extremely hard and unpleasant. Mash potato also hard (!?) and cold. Service also average: I was rudely told to take my hat off while inside. Will not go back.
Great for big extended family gatherings, space for kids to run around and food and beer that please older generations.
Great casual place to visit. Food is nice, beers are good. Prices are reasonable. Nice and casual a place. We enjoy each visit.
Very welcoming aymosphere, good food, indoors n outdoors seating, nice to linger with friends or family.live music n.dancing Sundays 1pm-5pm.sadly not on Fridays
Reminds me home, always friendly staff, awesome meals and great beers. What else to ask for? Dont change, so I always got somwhere to go!
Don't take card. ATM doesn't take card. Bar doesn't take cash. You trade your cash for non refundable tokens then trade the tokens for beer. Very irritating and probably a tax scam
Dear reader,
You will enjoy the authentic German culture there. I went to various events with my German friends and ordered things like Sauerkraut and German sausages. It tasted just like Germany when I was there. The imported beer is expensive, but it is worthwhile to enjoy your Stein every once a while to impress your friends of your beer capacity.
I wish you a pleasant cultural experience ahead!
