Concord Library reviews
21 Great local library to go to for some quiet reading and they also host a Rhymes Time for the kids which is great.
Facilities are quite clean and well set out.
Unfortunately, the available parking on-site is limited which is difficult when travelling with young ones.
Great work spaces. Spacious and light, and with its own cafe means you can comfortably work and study there for several hours. The only negative is it can get a bit noisy if people are making work calls or there are children's groups (take a noise-cancelling headset with you). Also, most desks do not have a power point to recharge your pc. I feel that is very necessary and most library's do. It could do with a little upgrade - some of the wooden desk areas are old and outdated looking Otherwise I will definitely be back.
My first visit and it won't be my last. Located in a central area in Concord near beautiful parklands. The library has facilities beyond books and computer access. Spacious seating areas throughout, bright and calm settings surrounding the building and a coffee shop with seating. The building is very accessible.
On site parking is rather limited and street parking may be a tad annoying but only requires a brisk walk.
Staff that assisted me were more than helpful and very welcoming.
It's a great library and I frequent a lot. But it is by far the noisiest library I have ever been to. Right now it's HSC season so there are a lot of high school students around and it's more like a social gathering than a study session. I understand it's not the library's fault but not once did I see someone come up and ask them to keep the noise down. Just keep in mind that even outside HSC season it is still noisy with lots of kids and things like that. Makes it a little difficult to actually study.
Awesome public library with a wide range of books catering for all ages. Very modern and organised library. Very kid and family friendly environment.
I love kids, but a library is not a childcare centre.
Surely you could have built a sound proof room for days where little kindy kids can be themselves.
Surely you don't expect all the people upstairs to be carrying headphones to blockout all the noise.
I love that libraries are open for our future little knowledgeable ones, but I shouldnt have to be blocking out a roll call of names and teacher raising her voice to be heard.
Come on. Are you serious.
This library doesn't have a Concord Train Station. You can only take a bus there (which is not frequent) or drive there. Will feedback to TfNSW to consider a train / metro service here.
Glad to be able to come back to this library after covid. As usual the staff were helpful and the book range extensive. I was able to place an order for a new book that was to be released in the next 2 months. Seating comfortable and I was able to try out the on-site coffee shop. Looks like the council desk has been removed.
Awesome public library with a wide range of books catering for all ages. Very modern and organised library.
Great staff, spacious, good selection of books. However, screaming kids kill all the advantages. Please do something about it. Distinguish a study zone and kids zone somehow. Soundproof it for Goddess's sake.
It’s one of my favourite library to study in, it’s cozy and clean. The atmosphere is really nice for studying. I study in this library everyday and the staff are really nice and friendly. Plus it has a small cafe which is really nice when you get hungry
To celebrate Youth Week our daughters aged 14 & 16 attended the FREE 'Wonder Woman 1984 Movie Screening' and were blown away with how much effort the staff went through to put on such an amazing evening for the youth. Our girls were warmly welcomed, received Gift bags on arrival, won prizes just for attending, food and treats were provided and they especially loved the posters and themed decorations.
A Huge Thank You to the staff that hosted the event this evening, you made it a memorable experience for our girls.
A very good local Council library in the Concord suburb with an elegant and bright interior. It even has a cafe which really adds to a village-like atmosphere.
It's a very nice library spread over two floors. Spacious and convenient with good parking. Has a Cafe in it aswell.
I love coming here, there is a lot of natural lighting and the whole design is quite open. However, this open layout also means that a lot of noise travels throughout the building. Things do quiet down after 5PM though. The staff here has always been really friendly and sweet.
Its such a nice library but noise travels really easily which is the only downfall to this otherwise beautiful library
Librarians here are pretty nice. Fortunately, 100% no need to experience the irksome noise from cars and kids. Although books on stack are limited, it would not blemish the reliable and high quality of free WiFi and air-conditioner sheltering traveler from distant precinct. It's truly a wonderful library.
Concord library is a local library to many schools and is a great place to study. It is cozy and had computers you can use.
Good library, but sometimes these little kiddies start screaming and I feel sudden joy when I think about the suffering they will go through with my belt.
Last month it was my first time been in Concord Library it’s spacious and pretty relaxing even tho they child room with the story teller was a bit loud I didn’t seem to mind them so when to look around and found another floor just above near the bottom library counter went there and it was the same spacious just like the below floor but overall looks great large place will coming back again soon
