Disappointing Customer Service at Macquarie Shopping Center CBA Branch
I recently visited the Macquarie Shopping Center CBA Branch and experienced extremely poor customer service, particularly from a staff member named Tammy. The branch is located in the basement, where cellphone signal is notoriously poor. Despite this, Tammy insisted that I log into my Netbank account, even though I explained that the signal was weak. She responded dismissively, claiming that everyone faces the same issue due to the basement location. When I asked if there was an alternative, she simply said "No. "
Later, as I was dealing with an enquiry, Tammy initially directed me to handle it myself through Netbank's automated system. When I requested human assistance, she insisted that I continue with the automated process. After finally submitting the enquiry through the automated system, Tammy became visibly irritated when I chose to receive updates via post instead of email. She then instructed me to go home and wait.
Upon insisting that I wanted human assistance with my transaction disputes, Tammy reluctantly agreed but continued to display a negative attitude. When I offered to show her screenshots of the transactions in question, she refused to look at them and demanded I provide the dates and amounts myself, displaying a hostile demeanor throughout the interaction.
Overall, my experience with Tammy at the Macquarie Shopping Center CBA Branch was incredibly disappointing. Her unprofessional and unhelpful attitude made what should have been a straightforward process needlessly difficult. I am left wondering if the branch manager or the head office are aware of the poor service being provided.
The decline in customer service at CBA in recent years is disheartening, especially when compared to the service standards of the past.
I hope that this feedback can lead to improvements in the future.
The staff member who was supposed to help me reactivate my card was not helpful at all. She just directed me to call the call center and resolve the issue myself, choosing to assist another customer instead of addressing my quere.waste of time
10.5 billion profit and they can't put enough tellers so customers don't have to wait 20 minutes for a cash withdrawal

Can’t remember her name but the one of the teller was extremely rude and unhelpful. I kept my composure and just said “next person please” and left me hanging. Awesome bank to be with but this was something I’ve never experienced. No wonder a lot of customers tend to argue and now I realised why

ATM malfunction while trying to deposit coins. Got told to wait 21 days, and yet after 21 days no call, no email, nothing. Rang back again told me to wait. And don’t know how many days.
I am giving five star to this branch because I was having so much trouble with my online banking. I went to this bank on thursday and one staff oh my god she was so nice and kind she helped me a lot and solved all of my problem related to online banking. Expect to wait 1-2 hours if you need more than basic deposit or withdrawal service. Even on a midweek day.
Not very happy. The staff who helped me at the door did not explain my problem in detail. I'll go to her again when I still have problems. Then her face show me like “ See? It's very easy. Just follow the step. I'm busy". Then she left to receive the customer she thought was more important. The whole thing was baffling to me. In the end, I still haven't solved my problem.
This branch has a down-to-earth and earnest branch manager, Scott Venables who helped out when there were more customers lining up in the queue. I was lucky to be served by him with my term deposit. I was really impressed by his constructive advice and his efficient and professional services. He even rang up head office team to get me a better rate. Grateful to you Scott. BTW, this branch accepts limited number of appointments booking. This would save up some waiting time.
Worst customer service ever. I just simply opened an everyday bank account but my card was sent to the wrong address and lost. Then they updated my phone number wrong on the system and I could not do any transaction online. Chat service on app and call center are not helpful either. So frustrated. My worst experience ever with a bank.
Visited this branch recently, great experience with friendly staff able to assist me and directed me to the bank manager.

I have had a negative experience with this bank. I tried to withdraw $300 today from the ATM machine and there was a message saying that my card has a temporary hold on it. I then got a message on my phone and the Commonwealth Bank asked me. Did you just try and withdraw $300. I tapped on Yes. I then went back to the ATM machine and withdrew the $300 but I took the card from the machine and I forgot to take the money. Its a pity the Commonwealth Bank didn't bother warning me in advance that they had these new security measures in place. I now have to wait for them to investigate the incident. I'm hoping the ATM reclaimed the $300. Just be careful if you get the message saying. Your card has a temporary hold on it.
I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received at this bank. It was my first visit, and my partner and I sought advice regarding our business. As soon as we walked in, a friendly lady warmly greeted us and offered us a seat. We expected to wait for about 20 to 30 minutes, but to our surprise, within a minute or two, the most friendly bank manager appeared before us.
The bank manager, Scott, introduced himself and kindly invited us to follow him to an office space where we could discuss our needs. Once seated, Scott attentively addressed all our concerns and provided valuable guidance. We never felt rushed throughout the conversation. His thorough explanations and assistance put us on the right track.
I highly recommend this bank with utmost confidence and would rate it a perfect five stars. In fact, I wish I could give it more. If you're considering switching banks to receive exceptional care, I encourage you to visit this bank. And if you're fortunate enough, try to meet with Scott—he truly is the best. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.

Worst place for customer service. Went in on 26th of June at around 12: 18 and there was a older lady serving on the right hand side. She was yelling at me to watch the news because there system was down. But she wasn’t listening to what I was trying to tell her as my issue was completely different from what she was telling me. She was so loud that everyone at the back of the line heard and made me feel quite embarrassed. She needs to have some customer service lessons.

If you use the Express Car Park, as you enter Maquarie Centre, the Commonwealth bank is the first tenant on the left.
Just watch out for the queue at Australia Post that blocks the foot traffic entering and leaving the carpark.
