Commonwealth Bank reviews
18Thank you Lyara & Commonwealth Bank Gordon for outstanding customer service and professionalism. We are sincerely grateful.
Very limited services assistance is available that every visit has to bear 20mins at least to be served
I opened my savings account with the help of Jing at this branch and she was very helpful at every step, definitely recommended.
I have been dealing with the Commonwealth Bank for a deceased estate matter for the last two years and my overwhelming experience is negative. Today was no exception. I did what I thought was the correct thing and called the branch last week to explain what I needed to do and to make an appointment, if necessary. I was assured that an appointment was the correct thing to do so I made the appointment and received a confirmation email.
I arrived 5 minutes early but it wasn't until 40 minutes after my appointment time that I was attended to. At which time I was directed to a teller and was told that I didn't need an appointment. So I asked why I needed to wait 40 minutes to see a teller and was told that they didn't know what I needed. The problem with that though is that the person that made the appointment in the first place knew exactly what I needed to do and made the booking.
If you like poor service, with attitude, and also like having your time wasted then The Commonwealth Bank is the place for you.
I will be forever thankful when the estate is finalised and I no longer have to deal with the Commonwealth Bank.
Very bad customer service, they make you wait while 2 staff chatting with a customer, not actually servicing the customer.just chatting. They could use their working hours more efficient. Not chatting for fun. Never come back again.
Excellent customer service at this branch! Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and friendly, while the super-efficient Jing handled our matter with courtesy and professionalism. From now on we will travel to Gordon for our banking business and give our local branch in St Ives a wide berth!
Please stay away from this branch. The brach manager does not how to do her job and just stay away.
Special thanks to Jing for excellent customer service - extremely efficient and so very nice and helpful. All of the other staff members were also very courteous and attentive.
Excellent attention they knew how to fix the errors I had and they made things very clear for me
Very unacceptable behaviour from staff every single time when I need to do banking, the ATM was out of order for more than 3 weeks and still out of service, they haven't had any customers and the Asian lady behind the counter was very rude and didn't accept my job because I had more than usual Coins (we run the business there and can't keep too much money there as I think it's not safe, that's the reason we use bank), so if they are unable to fallow customer requests why they are there, take them out and just put extra atm there, can you imagine after I asked to speak to the person on charge he refused as well and sent me to Lindfield, that was really unappreciated and I haven't had anything else to say.
Anyone with a Power of Attorney (POA) needs to be aware that the CBA has changed their process of how POA can transact on behalf of a client.
This change happened without the client or the POA be advised by any means. I found out that, although the POA document has been lodged with St Ives branch, we were not advised by that branch whether any further action is required. St Ives branch also did not upload the POA so it can be viewed.
When we needed to transact on behalf of our dad, i had to go to the nearest branch (Gordon) to enquire, having been on crutches due to injuries. Multiple calls to the CBA number did not resolve anything. At Gordon, the branch manager explained the several steps in the bank's process to enable a POA to transact but refused to produce any official document on the process. After several visits, i insisted on her writing down what she required.
The bank explained this cumbersome and non transparent process away as "protecting the client's interest" but it is only to protect themselves from the Royal Commission's wrath.
I rang several branches in the area including Gordon and St Ives to understand what can be done or prepared before a visit. Calls always get diverted to a voice mail promising a call back before close of business. No one ever called back. This level of service is unacceptable.
Took a day off to get some kid accounts sorted. Called them all day to check the requirements to open some children accounts. Voicemail said I'd get a call back by end of day. Never happened. Went to the branch before 3pm so I could get it sorted and they told me I can make a booking tomorrow or they day after.
How hard is it to pick up a phone or call back?
A big thank you to the staff at Gordon who go above and beyond to assist their customers. Thank you for removing our concerns by handling issues quickly, efficiently & practically.
In Gordon branch
They have no idea how to behave and how to deal with the customer
In the credit section branch literally she has no idea
I had waste my time there
Excellent service as always! Probably the best banking services and smiles you can get in town.
This branch of the Commonwealth Bank is located in the old historic Gordon Post Office. It is a small and quaint bank, in keeping with the village style atmosphere of Gordon.
On entry you are faced with a number of ATM’s and greeted by a service person. The staff are friendly and helpful.
As a frequent visitor, every time I have felt welcomed by the friendly staff, on one occasion a lovely employee went out of his way to offer me some exclusive coins. I have never had a bad experience at this bank, I am always offered assistance and would highly recommend this bank to anyone.
Commbank #CardlessCash you thought of a really simple experience for me. Now I only need to carry my #SamsungNote only Congradulations for making my Life easy. #ShamalTennkoon
