Fix your ATMs. This is the umpteenth time I’ve visited and the ATM is down! This is a problem at so many branches, please just please get a better system!

Pathetic service. Leave you on hold for hours. Doesn't matter that I've been with the bank for over 40 years with home loans, term deposits, business accounts. Tell you to go to the branch to roll over a term deposit. You call again and they say hang in there on the original call. Tell you to do it on the app but won't tell you the rollover rate and the app won't let you access a term deposit. Goodbye CBA.

Good location for banking, plenty of parking.

Staff seems nice and knowledgeable regarding my enquiries ie netbanking and transfers.

Would i visit again? Yes.

Wishing to extend much appreciation to Maria Soares the Customer Banking Specialist of the Commonwealth Bank at Leichhardt Market Place.

Maria’s impeccable customer service skills were second to none and this was the most important deciding factor in qualifying that the Commonwealth Bank would continue to be privy of our custom!

Unfortunately only hours prior both my son and I had attended the Marrickville Commonwealth Bank on Marrickville Road and after a half an hour wait, only to have been on the receiving end of appalling insensitive, and down right rude behaviour of the Manager.

My son and I had given the gentleman the courtesy of requesting that he assist us to open an account for my young son when in-front of my son he undermined my position as the mother and turns to my son and

says: how old are you?

My son replied 16, the Manager then blatantly out cold without reservation goes on to say the following:

“oh you know that you don’t need permission from your mother to open an account and that your mother does not need to be with you”?

According to any one out there with a quarter of a brain? Is this the greeting that my 16 year old needed from a so called Bank Manager! In being told such a thing?
I mean to say that is it not self explanatory that if my son didn’t want his mother to be present I would not have been there right? And that for the mere fact that I was there would that not have been enough for the Bank Manager to keep his comments to himself, albeit any form of protocol but rather base his work ethics on the circumstances before him?

Fact is that nor my son or myself asked the Manager any such questions for him to take it upon himself to speak to us like that including the obvious protocol on this Managers agenda which obviously had a mother on his hit list in discriminating against me like that by taking it upon himself to state such a derogatory totally uncalled for question to my son!

An interference of Privacy under the 1988 Privacy Act of Australia!

Fact is that what the Manager failed to recognise was that WITHOUT my sons birth certificate which is my property that I held in my hands he had buckleys of me his mother allowing for my son to open a bank account & that the first thing out the Managers mouth was to discriminate against me like that all because I was accompanying my son to the bank to open an account? And that there was no real need for myself to be present?

I have never felt so insulted by such undermining experience in a Bank shocking behaviour ever and to think that this guy is a Bank Manager is very disturbing!

The Managers barbaric work ethics certainly requires an overhaul let alone anything else!

There are ways in which to speak to customers let alone undermining a mothers position in the presence of her son!

What was the Manager proposing to set my son up for in putting such dishonourable ideas in my sons head that he could now at 16 do as he pleases just because the bank says that he can open a bank account without his mother?

Fact is that for the record the Manager failed to recognise is that at the end of the day I had the BC in my hands NOT my sixteen year old!

Thankfully Maria was able to honour her position with the Bank that saved the day based on her expertise, professionalism and utmost care of myself and my son!

One thing for sure is that we never forget how someone made us feel & Maria sure made my son and I feel very welcome today and so to you Maria and Commonwealth Bank Leichhardt Market place thank you thank you, thank you Keep up the great honouring of our custom with you and our honourable requests!

No complaints, self service usable while the mall is open, ATM inside near Woolworths and outside on the wall of the enterance (24/7 access).
