Just had a store member accost me on the street AFTER leaving the store (was already some distance away) who stated “excuse me, I just wondered if you paid for that at the other shop”? Then said “you just walked out of the store with something in your hand and didn’t pay for it and we sell those”.

I was indeed holding an item that I had purchased somewhere else. If the staff member was paying attention instead of looking at their phone when I walked in, they would have seen I was carrying the item on entry…

If you want to inspect someone’s bag or check what they are holding ASK them before they leave the shop…. Don’t chase them out the door and down the road and accuse them of stealing, just because you aren’t doing your job properly!

Won’t be back, that’s for sure.

Colour Art always have what I need. They have some good specials from time to time and the service is always great. They even gave me a store credit when I brought back a jar of watercolour masking fluid that hadn't worked for me. Great place and convenient location.
