Great cafe and excellent customer service, Some of the best coffee in Newport! They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and the vibe was great.

The food was very good and so filling as well. Egg Benedict and Newport Smash were delicious. To top it off the fruit crush was one of the best to wrap up lovely afternoon lunch.

Do yourself a favor; come with some friends, have some good food and some good coffee and enjoy the great environment they have set up for you!

I’m tentative about writing this review because I have loved being able to retreat out the back of Cocoa Bar to the little Al fresco Dining sanctuary for a rare piece of peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle of the now booming newport cbd.

However, such a serendipitous delight should not be reserved for yours truly and the occasional date or family member I bring to this little hidden away paradise, so I’ll give a little spiel for all the Newport boomers to read and digest so they can slowly and steadily consider other eating options:

This new ownership of Cocoa Bar Newport has it all: yummy food, efficient preparation and service and quick, delicious coffee made promptly and with a smile that goes down the pipes as smooth as anything one might buy in Newtown or Leichhardt

An ice cream/gelato selection worthy of an Italian politicians family, or a newport breakers player who’s just scored his first try: not only is this for ice cream cones, but if you truly respect yourself, you can pick out your own unique combo of flavours to go into your truly delectable iced coffee milkshake.

Finally, the food. There are some true mysteries in Newport. 1. Why the boomers were so stupid as to argue against the B line coming this far north and 2…. How does Cocoa Bar manage to cook my eggs Benedict so fast, yet keep it so so damn delicious? One of Newports great true mysteries.

Take your family, your tinder date, your grandma or your boss here if you wanna give them an inevitably satisfying meal.

If you dislike your family and don’t want them dining in friendly, stylish culinary excellence, then I guess take them somewhere lame like Mona Vale

Tasty food, good portion sizes, friendly service with a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely would go back when I am in the area.

This is a well established Cafe. Food is made from only the freshest local ingredients and definitely the best coffee in the Northern Beaches

Me and my friend ordered 2 açai bowls from here and waited 25 minutes to get them when there was hardly anyone at the cafe.then when we got them we got no apology for waiting and the açai bowls tasted horrible and we could hardly even eat them

Had a few big orders over two days, staff were so friendly and helpful. Coffee was amazing too!

This is the worst possible place on Northern Beaches. Today I bought a "Vegetable" wrap. Inside it was full of old toast, old toasted sandwiches with corn, the green salad snippets were just a decoration. I would not feed it to my dog. I will report this place to food and health department. It is dirty too and the staff does not care!

To my delight an unexpectedly huge, generous bacon and egg roll! This was only half the roll. Layers of egg and bacon, I was full from my half. Would definitely come here again for this substantial meal

Don’t understand all the good coffee reviews. My cappuccino tasted like it was made by one of these automatic machines.

My husband and I are very particular about our coffee - we get ours from Cocoa Bar most mornings and the staff there never miss a beat! Martin, Noula and Charlie are always so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious too!

Cocoa Bar is the only cafe I have come across that makes my coffee exactly the same no matter which barista makes it! Drool worthy coffee, an incredible menu and amazing service.

Great cappuccino. Beautiful beach culture decor. Good service. On the main road but fairly quiet as there's a great back section too. Highly recommend.

They forgot two of our orders but the owner treated us like 2nd class citizens after being asked.

Remember don’t order toast as it takes so long to come. We asked for butter & jam on the side but they put butter & jams already spread on the toast. I have never seen any cafes in Australia do that for their customers. This is how you gave toast to your children!

The waitress was young and nice when we told her. But the owner was really rude. He actually came to tell us it would take a long time for us to make the toast again.
My meal arrived but the additional toast took another 10 minutes.

The gentleman sitting next to us looked like a regular told us he didn’t like the man’s attitude. It is wrong to treat customers like this especially when they are the ones who forgot our orders. He left upset without having his coffee as they forgot to make his coffee as well. It was very unpleasant.

The standard of food is average.
The seating is very uncomfortable.

We left without having our coffees (we already paid for) fearing being treated badly again. We went to the cafe next door and felt much better. If the man was an employee, the owner should seriously be thinking about doing something to save his business. I read someone else also reviewed about being treated rudely when the orders were forgotten.

We will not return again to be treated this way!

Unfortunately they forgot my coffee and I had to wait for ages. When I had the audacity to ask, after waiting for 10-15 mins, the guy have me a very insincere apology and a filthy look to go with it. 1 star for the coffee which was actually okay but -4 stars for rude service

Great, hot coffee - just the way I like it! Grabbed a few brekkie quiches too for just $2! Value for money +
