Cockatoo Island Visitor Centre

Former prison island, which was later used for shipbuilding. It is in disuse and deterioration

I went for a walk on Sunday, and there weren't many people, so I enjoyed the relaxing time.
The remains of the shipyard give you a sense of history.
Sydney is a good place in the city, but I thought it would be nice to have a facility where you can experience the past.

Beautiful place located so close to the city. If you want to go relax for few hours this place is perfect.

The audioguide was really helpful, we visited the island on our own and had a great time. We recommend for sure!

Beautiful island in the center of Sydney. It is very easy to get there by ferry and this visit is a fascinating experience.

Great place. The scenic view is awesome. The boat ride is even great. The food needs attention though.

Second stop from circular quay by ferry going towards olympic park or parramatta, Very nice place to see around, a feeling of ancient periods activities, from top of the hill you can see lots of views, sometime very windy on ocean side
