Club Willoughby reviews
20Decently priced amazing European food, the mushroom sauce on the veal was stunning. Obviously was expecting the typical RSL atmosphere.
Place is like a ghost town. Bistro is boring, staff are indifferent and never answered my emails and don't reply on facebook. Frustrated they don't reply.
Very nice place, great food, it was great our public speaking club could meet here at this venue.
Big French market every 2nd and 4th Sunday, outdoors when sunny and indoors when damp, great atmosphere and first class French produce. Eftpos at the stalls and Covid safe
Gonna have to agree with VIRGINIA RICHARDSON here, this place really "puts you in a gem". Talk about tasty.
The TAB is new and spacious. There is space, pokies area is small. Gigantic dance room upstairs.
Went here for a work related meeting and boy oh boy does it need an overhaul. I love these local clubs as a place for oldies to gather, socialise and catch up with mates, there's no reason it can't have a lick of paint and general spruce up to make it more appealing as a place to hang out for the many older folks I saw arriving.
Am member & more than satisfied with service & attitude of staff. New Bistro Mgr & staff together with food are excellent!
A hidden gem. Needed a change of the same old pubs and clubs so thought we'd try Club Willoughby. Sure it's a little dated and quiet but stick with it and I guarantee you'll enjoy it. They have a new food team on board and talk about tasty, delicious and hearty food! Even the kids fish and chips is big - and great value for the quality. And it's a big call but I have to say it's the best burger we've ever had. The staff are fabulous too and make sure they go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. They also do great Friday night music and $10 Aperol Spritz so how can you go wrong with that kind of recipe! Awesome job Club Willoughby.
The food is terrible here, just like the decor. No wonder there was nobody in the place. I’m surprised the place is still open, do yourself a favour and go anywhere else!
Fairly typical suburban RSL club - bistro, lounge bar. But also lots of activities. Plenty of parking and good access via public buses.
Disappointing menu with no vegetarian options and surprisingly steep prices. Staff were warm and friendly but the venue itself is a bit uninviting.
Older style club in need of total refurbishment. Very quiet on a Thursday lunch. Food ok, staff friendly but drinks expensive for a club. Disabled access good and parking easy.
Catering staff were vry helpful with my Gluten Free requirements. The club is old but friendly.
Club is getting a little shabby and threadbare. Requiring groups hiring the venue to start and finish early so Club avoids wages issues.
A peculiar place.
Typical club but some serious Sunday afternoon poker games going on. 3 tables of maybe 10 players taking their cards very seriously.
Reasonable, very quiet, kind of old and ruin down. Bar prices just average. Nothing terribly great but not awful either. Place just needs a refurbishment desperately.
Very disappointed in the chef at the restaurant. The chef suggested we not pre order for an event at the club because we would not have to wait more than 15 minutes for our meal. Well we waited 55 minutes and then had to take our meal with us to the event. I am very unhappy.
The North Shore Bridge Club is located here - that's the main reason I go here. The restaurant has very good food and is reasonably priced. Easy parking. The whole site will probably be redeveloped over the coming years.
