Club Redfern

I'll give 5 stars but nothing can replace the old Redfern RSL on the same site where the high rise building is today.

I remember during my childhood being escorted by a parent signing in at the front using the ticket system and heading up to Billy's Bistro. Sadly the culture of the once working class area has been destroyed.

The description of the club is completely different than what they describe. You can't bet at the tab n they advertise there's 43 screens but there's No SKY. They say there's Pool tables n there's Not. Also you can't get a meal after 3pm n Half the pokies were turned off.

Our group of ex-QANTAS workmates have been meeting at the Redfern Club and having meals there for a number of years. We always have a great time with obliging staff, a pleasant environment, and great meals.

We went for the chinese, which was absolutely beautiful food! Fast service as well. Food was on the table less than half an hour after we ordered and their prices are very affordable.
We'll definitely be back!

Always love the atmosphere in Club Redfern and the meals are well priced. But what's with the cash only at the bar and the Bundy Rum taste like Bourban.

A stones throw from Redfern station. $5,50 schooners.a TAB and keno.friendly staff and patrons.modern decor. Foxtel.no dress rules that inhibit members and guests.so.what are you waiting for?
The Tudor has no Tab.the Regent has no atmosphere and is $7,20 a throw for schooies.and the Abbotts is run by Billy who is a rich man but a poor person.

Good spot to have a beer at. Food from Chinese restaurant is one of the best and freshest I've tasted for a while.

It was good with the old cafe, tasty and nice and cheap, especially the Chinese, Now with new owners dearer, smaller portions, and less tasty. Shame since before it was the only value place left in Sydney where you could still get a large plate of tasty and healthy food for 20-12 bucks. It also needs an urgent refit- I do love the old corner cubicles but they need more windows or something.

Club Redfern are located opposite Redfern station, service are very good and friendly, New Asian foods (Happy Gathering) Cantonese foods are so delicious, club have lift access, Highly recommend to everyone,

I joined this Club Redfern about 4 months ago. Limited trading hours, no atmosphere as so few people there. Do not play the poker machines. Chinese restaurant good. So disappointed I handed back my membership card a few days ago after a visit. No questions why. Do not bother with the Redfern Club.

Absolutely Awesome & Great Club! Definitely 10/10 for a drink or meal! Great & friendly staff and nice friendly people, I'm guessing that they are locals! Anthony, the General Manager is definitely an Asset to this Awesome Club & so is Jenny, Cristina, Graham & John who are the Staff that I have met so far!

Club service are very good and friendly, New Asian foods are great and tasty, Highly recommend.

A charming local club conveniently located across the road from Redfern station.

What makes Club Redfern new League and memorable is the friendliness of the staff the atmosphere with a variety of facilities available ranging from dining restaurant TAB pool gaming but perhaps the greatest is the social activity and interaction and there community spirits mindedness.

Simply a great place to meet your friends because of its central location and everyone knows Club Redfern going from strength to strength and serving the community outside the club showing that they are indeed part of the community.

Well done Club Redfern it is a wonderful thing you see a local business contribute to the community you have my respect and I'm proud to be a member.

The general manager is the man who always has time for his patrons we will regard him as a friend.

Staff are absolutely wonderful. Atmosphere is lovely. Food is terrific. All and all fantastic place to go.

Janice, you are 200% right, I am a paid up member of Club Redfern and it is a great club, I hope maybe to see you there one day Janine, I doubt it though.

Clean, good service and the Chinese Rest is great value for money

Also just joined and the wine and beer prices are very reasonable compared with the Hotel next door

This is a really great place.
10 metres from the stataion with parking under for members.
The food is great with specials everyday.
The drinks are cheap.
The meat raffles are a lot of fun.

The place looks and feels a little run down. The food is cheap but mediocre at best, some of the Asian food on offer is simply a glutinous mess. The staff are friendly and the drinks are cheap. It is a spacious venue for a club event and it has meeting rooms available for lectures or presentations. Very handy for transport, Redfern station is right across the road. The bar tends to be a bit noisy with large screens blaring out sporting events even when there are no people in it.
