I recently had the privilege of consulting with Professor Sheryl van Nunen, and I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience.
If you have been bitten by a tick a had some had some allergic reaction after eating red meat, I recommend you contact Professor Sheryl van Nunen, one of the best specialists in the area as she have made groundbreaking contributions to allergy research. She linked tick bites to mammalian meat anaphylaxis. Professor van Nunen's expertise in her field is nothing short of remarkable, in addition, she is a very lovely and dedicated professional who spent one hour getting some detail about my case and also explaining all the details about this allergy.

One of the most appalling examples of confirmation bias in a clinical physician which I have ever experienced. The professor should really stick to academia, where she can do less harm. She completely ignored my symptoms and came up with her own (fanciful and unfounded) theory. May be knowledgeable about allergies but if you need advice on any other immune issue, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I met Dr van Nunen to treat my dust allergies. She told me that after 6 months of treatment we can evaluate if its working or not hence continue to 5 year treatment or stop. After 6 months I emailed her to schedule an evaluation meeting but received no response. I called the office, talked to the secretary, who said she will call me back. Never did. When I called again the secretary said there is no need in Dr evaluation and I should just decide what I want to do - continue or quit according to my own judgment. No follow up, no blood tests, no meeting. I felt it was unprofessional, and non respectful (Not replying to my mail and phone call). When I met her at the start of the treatment Dr Van Nunen seemed knowledgeable and nice but due to the unprofessional and disrespectful way she treat patients, in a field that requires ongoing treatment, I will not recommend her.

This is the 2nd time we have seen Professor Van Nunan for different issues. We have found her to be thorough, helpful and up to date on all aspects, offering new treatments as they are released. Also worth noting is that she is courteous and lovely towards children

THE person to see for allergies in Australia. Thorough, professional and generous with her time and energy. My daughter who suffered for years throughout her childhood is now, as a young adult nearly symptom free. It’s been life changing.

Incredibly lazy and generally not interested in investigating or looking for the cause of an allergy, Sheryl van Nunen is a waste of time.
Dr Sheryl van Nunen was also sick, coughing and spluttering during the appointment.

I have been seeing Professor Van Nunen for over seven years now. Despite having the options to take on more patients, she always has the time to carefully ask me many questions before offering very detailed and personalised advice on both management plans and treatment. Her knowledge of allergies, the immune system, and drugs that interact with it are second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend Professor Van Nunen to anyone who needs to manage allergies.
