Climb Oz Climbing Centre reviews
24 Great gym, always new climbs, best place in area for membership as they have all auto belays. Bouldering is great with large matts and a training area upstairs
Good community that are always willing to help
Small climbing centre, not set up for new climbers. Some unhelpful staff. Wouldn’t go back.
Very friendly staff and great safety protocols there is no harness for the bouldering part of the session but it doesn't go that high and they teach you how to safely come down.
Hi all,
Climb Oz experience:
Free off-street Parking, Incentive deal, Helpful friendly staff, auto-Belay safety wall climb, Regular change in climbs, ok priced Gear shop, private coaching, group coaching, MoonBoard for all levels. Suits beginners to the sky.
This place has all the essential ingredients to start your wall climbing experience.
When I'm there I feel the passion for rock climbing.
Most people are friendly and helpful.
My Son and I have been going regularly for nearly 2 months and we have progressed in confidents, strength and toughness. We will be attending our first coaching session soon at Climb Oz to learn climbing technique.
I have seen a good spread of Sydney climbing establishments, although this place is not buffed and polished like some of the other places it does have people with passion for climbing and an honest face of wat climbing is all about.
Climb Oz has been a healthy social environment for my Son and I to progress to becoming close as it gets to professionalism and passion.
Super polite staff who will help with anything, homely/cozy vibe in the gym and autobelays so you can go solo. Recommend!
Amazing, comfortable place. Love coming here with my friends and solo to have a great time! Friendly environment with amazing and helpful staff. Recommend!
Highly disappointed. Took my 9 yo in for lessons with the intention of signing up for the term. They informed me that we had missed three sessions of the term and would still have to pay the full term price, no justification to why.
Wouldn't mind if it justified the price, but it doesn't. Its small and hosts an uncomfortable atmosphere. Won't return or recommend.
Not clean and very outdated. I remember coming here as a kid and it has barely changed in the last 10+ years. They have a corner where they've sat the outdoor furniture and its absolutely covered in pigeon droppings. Not sure if laziness or they just don't care what guests think.
Came for the rope climbing - small area and short walls but the route-setting keeps it interesting. Autobelays great for a solo sesh. Staff are friendly.
1This was my first time at this centre and I really did have a good time.
I enjoyed being able to go upstairs and warm up.
. And there was a good variety downstairs as well I did go during peak time and found that it was very busy.
Garbage. Indian bloke at the customer service was absolutely ridiculous. Highly rude and made no efforts in assisting my enquires. I do not recommend this place due to his shambolic customer service.
Really friendly staff and super fun and cool climbs set here. Banging playlist too! A great place to be.
This is a great climbing gym for everyone at any age and skill level. I take my little brother whenever were bored at home! There's is an outdoor bbq area great for kids birthday parties and the self-belay and bouldering walls allows you to climb independently without having to find a partner. Also it's a great place to train as it has a system wall and a campus board.
13yr old son has lessons here and enjoys his time. The instructions are friendly and he also looks forward to the weekly classes. I believe when you are enrolled to the program, you get to access the facility for free.
Last week was first time back at Climb Oz since it changed from Summit, first impression of the new company running the climbing centre wasn't as good as I was hoping. I would probably call myself an intermediate climberans it was clear to me that this gym is more directed at the more experienced climber with no easy climbing walls that'd be good for kids or beginners with only auto belay systems. It's also more focused on bouldering, which my husband loves but, me not so much. If your a beginner or wish to take small children, this isn't the place for you. I'd I were a more skilled climber this place would be a good regular visit.
Climb oz is a great place for the more experienced rock climber thee may only be a few rock climbing wall but they are a challenge
The bouldering is also a challenge for climbers you will not kneed someone to belay you as they are all automatic
I went with a group of 5 kids and there were only two routes suitable for under 10s. There was no air conditioning, the price was exorbitant and the staff weren't particularly friendly. Might be better for adults, but don't take kids under 10.
Fantastic climbing centre staff are always extremely friendly and they have multiple self belaying ropes which is fantastic if you don't have someone there to belay you
Friendly people, good location, great prices. Challenging and well designed routes. A wonderful place for beginners.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, well thought out climbing routes for all stages of experience.
