Cityview Studio Accommodation-Sydney Leichhardt Apartment hotel

In short: pleasantly surprised. Excellent value for money.
If you walk in here expecting Crown Hotels, you'll be sorely disappointed. But I literally have nothing to complain about, hence the 5 stars. The receptionist was absolutely lovely. The room was clean and fresh. I could still even smell bleach in the ensuite. Water was nice and hot and bed was soft and comfy, perfect to crawl into after a concert at the pub across the road. Close to the Italian Forum and a short walk to the Norton St Plaza, it's the perfect little spot for those a little budget conscious. Yes, some bits might be a little dated, but who cares when it all works and at a very decent price. And yes, you might be right under the flight path, but I'm a very light sleeper, and I slept like a baby. If I ever need to stay in Leichhardt again, I know where I'll be booking!

Just needed a room for a Thursday night in Leichhardt. Good service, clean room, comfortable bed. Excellent location. All I could ask for. Thank you!

It was good, the bus stop was near and the kitchen was big. The master of hotel were kind and laundry machine was three. If I go Sydney again, I want to stay there again. I recommend here to my friends already.

Bad structure, dirty and terrible service.
Small and noisy, dirty rooms with carpet soaked in dust and dirt.
In 15 days the sheets were changed once and the towels twice at our request, the vacuum cleaner was never used in the room. Dirty shared kitchen, days old dirt on the ground. The laundry was unusable because full of dirt. It's the first time I've come across such a dirty and smelly place.

The photos look nice, but this low-budget rental is best described as a hostel or dormitory. The building is old, the carpet is worn, and the walls are so thin that we could clearly hear the enthusiastic activity in the next room. The neighborhood isn't great and the apartment is located on a noisy road under a flight path to the airport. This may be a good rental for students or extremely cost-conscious travelers, but my wife and I were happy to leave after one night. On the plus side, the hotel reception was friendly, helpful, and polite.

I have lived in this hotel for quite a long time, and I left with good memories. We are perfectly taken care of. Everything we need is provided every week as well as a great cleaning of the place. The owners are very nice and understanding and always provide you with anything you need. You feel at home and you can either have personal individual time as well as fun time with other people in the building. I will definitely come back when I come back to Leichhardt. Such good memories in my stay there thank you very much for the experience!

This place is super convenient, with good access to public transport and near to many eateries and two supermarkets. The place offers everything you need both for short and longer stays, although the facilities are a bit dated. The room is reasonably clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable. There is no daily room cleaning, but for longer stay, room cleaning is weekly. Fresh towels can be however offered upon request. Overall, this is an excellent value budget accommodation in inner west suburb.

Very cramped, nothing to put a suitcase on, therefore had to stay on floor, bathroom only just adequate. Long way from CBD, but bus stops very handy. Awesome Irish pub just up road with fantastic food, service and beers.

**Owner should contact Agoda because bond was not disclosed anywhere in booking confirmation AND when I called Agoda the person I spoke with told me they were never informed about bond being required**. $100 bond should be disclosed at time of booking not when you arrive at check in and so I asked to refund and stay elsewhere but was told no it’s non-refundable. So after discussions with Agoda and amending booking I did end up staying here. Room had all cutleries, toiletries, linen and all faculties including the air con was in good working condition. But I did not feel comfortable there because I could often hear the conversations in the reception lobby word for word as clear as if there was in the same room with me so likewise I’m sure any of my private phone conversations could be equally as easily heard. So yes it is a fully functional apartment but I feel customer service and guest privacy is definitely lacking.

Very impressed with the helpful attitude of the staff who accommodated my late arrival. The room was clean with a comfy bed - great value for money. The location was a bonus for me, within walking distance to the station and plaza with great takeaway places just around the corner.

Received a very cold welcome from a young
male on duty at check in but soon discovered he was the pleasant one - the manager was the scary one! Never felt so uncomfortable at an accommodation before and unfortunately could not afford to leave and stay elsewhere. The rooms and facilities themselves were fine but even if the room was 5star luxury I would never want to come back and have to interact with those people ever again.

Very poor service, the lady manager is rude and all what she is about is to get more money out of your pocket.
The room was dirty when I got there and when I complained they ended up
Cutting $250 cleaning fees out of my bond as if I made the mess.
I will never stay there again and I don't recommend it.

This is my second time at Cityview Studio Accommodation. The location is close to restaurants, parks, shops and even a library, and is convenient for getting around the city i.e 5 min from bus and train. Great customer service and friendly staff (especially the manager, Wila). I enjoyed the stay and will most likely visit again.

Nice basic accomodation. Friendly staff. 15-20min bus to city center. Main shopping needs in the paralell street. If you are looking for a nice suburb, try others.
