If you need to keep the gym closed at-least put up a notice or inform members by a e-mail.
Went tonight around 11: 30pm, finding it to be shut!

Very unhappy with my experience trying to cancel my account. Charged fees after no communication for 7 months. Avoid.

I honestly really enjoy this gym, a gym is a gym and that's it's you go in and work out and done, i don't understand the reviews of the gym. For a gym in a shopping centre I think it's pretty good and a great size with lots of equipment. I've been to smaller gyms with lesso equipment and have also been to gyms where no one looks after the things they use.
It's a huge gym with lots of variety to choose from with a good 5 squat racks, a pretty big rack of dumbbells, lots of cardio machines and even fake turf with a slede, big tyres and ropes. There isn't really much more you could ask for with a place to work out, it is what it is. It's in a very convenient location at charlestown square where you can go grab some food afterwards where as lots of gyms are far away from a place to refuel after a workout. The fact that supermarkets are close by and also a supplement store 2 minutes walk means you can still buy some protien products or food to help the recovery.
If there was only one criticism I'd make is that the massage machine isn't 24hrs.also that fact that there is about 10 benches to use is amazing most gyms would be all taken up because they have far less to use.also I rather like that people of all ages can go and it's amazing to see the older ones getting some exercise.
No other gym offers $10 a week with no contract or joining fee and that the tag is free as well. Gyms should be a place where anyone can go and not needing to break the bank and I feel revo have achieved that. I've been to gyms where rubber is falling off the weights, machines are rusty and no one re racks their weights.

Nice gym, very wide open space and friendly staff. Also, Eliza is an absolute legend. Hope Revo look after this one well so she sticks around. Thank you

Good equipment, fair price, friendly staff. Had no issues putting on hold for a holiday unlike other clubs.

Moved away and forgot to cancel my gym membership, but for once I realised I contacted them and they assisted straight away with my cancellation. Finally a gym that didn't make you jump through hoops and cause a head ache to cancel like my previous gyms.
When I move back I would sign back up with Revo Charlestown

The staff attitude was not good at all.
I was a member of city fitness before and I thought the contract was finished. Revo fitness take over the gym and keep charging me money weekly.
They told me because I didn’t do a cancellation with them so it will automatically renew.
However, I only sign one year contract with city fitness, how can they put me into automatic renew.:) will never go back…

Change in management. Too focused on profit. Not as good as what it was. Quit my membership today.

I joined with no experience of gyms whatsoever. They offered me 15 minutes of a personal trainer, which was great, I really needed that to know what to do to achieve my aims.

Except that I wasn't contacted by the Trainer until after I gave in my notice.

As I didn't know what to do, I was getting no value whatsoever. The treadmill and elliptical trainer were the only items I could work, and I could easily walk elsewhere for free.

I guess I should have been more aware that the lowest cost gym is going to have some of the biggest strings attached for cancellations if personal circumstances change.

Anyhow, sharing a review somewhat makes up for it.

It was a really friendly clean gym but the new owners have changed things. The reception hours have been cut and as a result there are less people going. Equipment is often scattered and had to find. The few classes they had have been cut and staff have left. I used to see the cleaner often. Now I hardly ever see anyone cleaning and mess like used drink bottles and abandoned sweat towels are left for weeks. It’s pretty sad really. No longer has a motivational vibe, more like a morgue.

Clean and great staff make this my preferred gym.fair pricing and the equipment is new.plenty of space and no judgement also helps. Have been here for the past year and a bit and love it.

A "Health" club? More like a "Covid" club.

Members of this gym have low compliance with Covid check-ins after hours. I brought it up with staff, they seemed aware of it. They claim to review footage, though I have seen no observable improvement.

I guess it's the price you pay for el-cheapo establishments like this. I chose to cancel the membership as I didn't enjoy the idea of using Covid covered gym equipment.

If health matters to you in this climate, choose a gym that is staffed when open.

Fantastic gym, staff are polite, so clean, great range of equipment and so much room to move. Best start to my day.

The staff there are great but I signed up when the gym first changed to CityFitness. It was a little frustrating at first due to the machines breaking down when using them (Which I believe has now been resolved), but I was injured on a defective machine and had a strangely intense experience with the area manager which left me frustrated due to acting very passive aggressive over the phone and when it happened.

During the first conversation I had informed her that I had ‘attempted’ to run on the injured ankle to which the manager interrupted and said ‘Oh so your are actually running on it then! ’ and I felt that this was becoming a legal issue rather than a welfare check. Throughout conversations I found the area manager to interrupt me. When I left I did inform the gym manager of why to which I was put back in touch with the same area manager. Honestly I felt like taking the gym to court after this interaction.

During the second conversation the area manager told me how I got it wrong and twice I stated ‘I’m sorry but’ and was interrupted by the area manager stating that I shouldn’t be sorry and a strangely intense manner. It was strange and I felt as though she simply didn’t want to be wrong.

I believe that this situation should have been better handled. For example dealing with another manager over the phone. I don’t feel that anything was improved over this situation.

Apart from the interaction with the area manager, I have to say that I’ve found the staff that work out of the gym full time to be extremely friendly and professional.

Gym has nice variety and lots to choose from. A better use of space and some updated equipment since it changed from FitNFast. Usually not too busy. Staff are great, friendly. They provide sanitising spray in various places and remind about cleaning so everything is kept well cleaned. Overall a good and accessible gym option at the Square.

One thing is it is always fairly warm in the gym. It has some fans with timer buttons on the walls but only help if you're using equipment in front of them. The FitnFast gym was always REALLY well airconned in the same space - one reason I joined. Good if CityFitness (or Charlestown Square?) could look at this because it can get hot in there working out now that it's almost summer - something to be aware of if you don't like to work out in the heat and are thinking of joining, but really personal preference as some probably like the warmth for working out.
