City Gym

Nice staff and Great gym with so much equipment to a point where you never have to wait for stuff. So many gyms don’t have enough spaces and spare equipment. Not an issue here. Has a steam room and jacuzzi which is very snazzy!

Even though this is an older gym it is really well equipped. There are a lot of different machines to use which means variety and never having to wait if the gym is busy.

I have grown to really like this place.

Good equipment and facilities. Only reason giving 3 stars is because of the music being much too loud. Background music is always good, but cant even hear your own music with earphones in.

Great gym! Everything you want/need is here, suitable for Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting. Different floors/rooms for cardio, freeweights, functional area etc. Very helpful and friendly staff. $20 casual session/day passes available. On site café type area for shakes, snacks and coffee etc. Would highly recommend

I went to the gym and had a mostly good time, but I'm giving it four stars instead of five because the music was way too loud. Even with my headphones, I couldn't hear my podcasts while working out.

A bit of an identity crisis I believe. Gym acts more like a club by blasting music down your ears. If you wanna feel like your in some den of a club, while occasionally being able to lift some weights on the side, go here. If you want to really work out, go to an actual serious gym. Completely understand if listening to obnoxiously loud poor music while working out is your thing, but save your money and bring your shake weight to a night club instead.

Dafak is wrong with reception today? Went to smoke right in front of the gym and when I get back, 2 workers chased for me thru the whole gym asking me to scan my card and then one of them touched my shoulder, making me feel extremely uncomfortable, Dafak was that? Bold tattooed guy, instead of gossiping around you better work.

Fitness focused crowd who are friendly with a strong sense of community. Plenty of space to work out, busier in the evenings (like most gyms).

I love this Gym - I’ve been training her for over 10 years. I adore Paul Haslam who is an incredible PT & Billy is the amazing owner, he always has a bright smile and helps with any issues (that rarely occur).

Best gym in Sydney City, best facilities and most variety of machines. Billy the owner knows his stuff and cares about the member experience. The food at the eatery is amazing and meals come fully customisable.

City Gym is listed as the most inclusive and welcoming gym and when I went in for a 3 day pass as a visitor from London I understood why. Enzo at the front desk was a star. He and his colleague made me feel so welcomed and really made sure I knew my way around and was OK across the 3 days. The gym has a great range of equipment and is quite large. The cafe at the front serves delicious protein shakes and meals that are reasonably priced too. Also served with a friendly smile. I’d highly recommend to join if you’re local or visiting make this your gym. 5 stars.

I don't 'do weights', I'm 81. We visited for coffee, which was very good, and the seating and coffee area was comfortable. They offer meals also.

City gym is simply the best gym in Australia. Soon they're going to offer infrared saunas and a high end physio practice.

If you're a heavy lifter looking for a gym that has big guy vibes, this is your spot. Best lifting gym in Sydney hands down.
