Chop 'n Chill South West Rocks

The food was flavourless, tasteless and poorly presented. Really the worst meal we've had in Australia! We had the barramundi and prawns & scallops all of which were frozen which is all the more appalling in seafood abundant South West Rocks. We read the reviews before we went and obviously there has been a change in the chef, menu, management or all 3!

Rocked up at 7.30 pm to a busy restaurant and was told kitchen closed even though their hours stipulate 9pm. One starving traveller.

Jo & her staff are producing a great space for some solid food! Both visits for me breakfast & Dinner have been very pleasant! Also on tap beers! The views are to die for! Thanks Jo

Live music right by the ocean with awesome food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It's a great spot.

Had an amazing breakfast this morning. My wife had the Avocado Boat with poached eggs and I had the Eggs Benny.

Great outlook over the Bay. Tex-mex-seafood with a bit of Asian. Burgers, nachos, wings, fries, fish, tacos. Bit of everything. Very good seafood chowder.

Went for lunch for Mothers Day, free glass of bubbles was a nice touch

Quality of food and the service were 10/10. Worth every cent. We ordered 2 wagyu steaks and each were cooked perfectly. We went on Wednesday night and got our 2 meals in their deal that comes with a bottle of wine which totalled to $70. For that price and quality we’re already planning on going back for breakfast!

My family loves this place and has for a very long time… there seems to be a new chef or kitchen aid.her names starts with A. This employee kept pulling awful faces at my poor children. I didn’t want to make a wuss so we left as soon as it was possible. I didn’t see the reason for her behavior my children were not loud or running around the restaurant bothering/annoying people. I don’t no where to officially complain. I don’t think this woman should be working in such a role due to how sly and awful towards my kids I believe she also swore under her breath at them a few times well according to my daughter and she really isn’t the type to lie. Please review this

There was only a few choices opened that day late in the evening and we opted for here. Was expecting the usual fare of either a parmie or rump steak but we were surprised by the menu offerings.
The smoked platter were absolutely delicious, brisket were tender to fork with the right amount of flavor while the rest of the dish have the right amount of smokiness and saltiness.

Ordered the Barra as well and it was fresh and flavorful.

Beer was cold and crisp

It was a wonderful evening.

Definitely worth stopping by for a meal. We ordered the seafood platter, some fish and chips, the beef salad (shown here) and a few burgers. The coleslaw provided with the meals was incredible, and the seafood platter was certainly very good, as was the beef salad. The burgers and fish & chips were pretty ordinary - not bad, but a little dull compared to the otherwise excellent food. They also had a live band playing which was great. Will be back.

Had the seafood platter for two, it was delicious. Great wine, great food, amazing service, live music was just icing on the cake! Such a lovely vibe.

We had lunch and dinner at Chop n Chill during our holiday at SWR, the food was yummy & value for money. The staff were all excellent with the Childrens food allergies and didn’t mind answering questions about the dishes & ingredients. Great view of the beach and good indoor and outdoor dining options

Great location friendly staff but on last 3 occasions had to ask for cutlery and food cold.rolls for bacon and eggs burger dry and potato pieces stone cold.this has happened on each visit

The staff at Chop n Chill are consistent: fabulous service, excellent quality of their food, great coffee and we always enjoy taking our border collie along as they have a lovely outdoors area with best cafe views in South West Rocks.

Lovrly breezy spot on the corner with views to the Rocks. Nice food and coffee anf dog friendly.
