Chop 'n Chill reviews
56Great food, presentation, and atmosphere. We had the fish tacos and brisket burger along with a couple of drinks. Food came out SO quick! Was very hot and yummy. Workers were very friendly! Would love to come back and try more items on the menu
A great blend of Asian & popular cuisine The chilli jam that they use is good= hot, so dig in or beware, which ever is your preference
The online booking system is easy to use & the bar prices are reasonable
Friendly & courteous staff
I visited for breakfast and encountered slow service initially, waiting in line for ten minutes before the two customers ahead of me placed their orders. When I finally ordered, the staff mistakenly entered just one dish instead of two, leading me to return to the end of the line. While I understand mistakes happen, the service lacked attentiveness. Additionally, I was asked about the number of people dining when my order was clearly for two dishes. However, my main disappointment was with the meal itself. I ordered the "smash avocado with feta and roasted tomatoes" for $18, and it consisted of an extremely thin slice of bread with a small amount of pre-made avocado spread, poorly roasted tomatoes, and a minimal amount of feta. The presentation was appealing, but the portion left me feeling hungry.
Outrageous good food. We had the grilled Camembert for the Start and then three mains to share. One better then the other. Grilled Baramundi, Tacos and a special of the day. The service was good. Nice people and ambience. The menu over the QR code didn’t worked that well, but that wasn’t a big deal
Staff, food and atmosphere are all top notch with a great choice of food and drinks to choose from, hard to choose as it all looks so yummy.
Great location just off the water and right near the children play area and park.
This place has all the feels of a soviet era lunchroom, line upon the concrete to place an order, industrial rolls of paper towels on the table, grab your own bucket of grubby cutlery, every sauce served in a single use container, house phone constantly ringing next to the table.
The food feels the same - tired, drab, under seasoned- like the staff hostages screaming silently "we've been serving this for a million double shifts and can we just get home please? "
Pulled pork at its best can be spectacular- falling apart and smokey with delicious burnt ends -
not here,
its a factory pulled pork, dry, sticky sweet and ultimately forgettable - its a shame some poor piggy ended up this way.
Fish Tacos? ($25.50) Huge deep fried pieces of mystery fish with inflated batter and drab factory cut slaw and the obligatory orange mayo drizzle - not a high flavour point for miles on what should be an easy home run dish.
At $27 for a burger and $40 for a steak a little service and some inspiration in the kitchen is sorely missing -
I feel like Im a cog in an industrial machine that keeps grinding away incessantly - the constant loop on the screens of the company promos adds a real "Ministry of truth" feel to the whole desperately grey experience. (1984 is a good book kids, check it out)
Bright spot are the kids bringing our food - there is no "service" as such, you just line up to order and pay - they are efficient and happy to help.
Good on ya kids.
Great place to go for anything from a snack/treat with coffee all the way through to great meals with a full bar available. Weekend music just makes this Cafe and all rounder.
Had a family gathering of 19. Thank you to Jo and the staff, customer service outstanding and the food was great. Don’t lose those chefs
Absolutely no customer service, staff not interested in interacting with customers at all. Great location. What a shame!
Love this place! Everything is exceptional! The food, the service, the COFFEE! This is the place to go to TREAT yourself!
Really great family vibe.
We had a lovely meal, but aside from that, every single staff member we encountered was not just pleasant, but actively friendly and helpful.
I even made a mistake with our order, and they just sorted it without me even asking them to.
We were up there for my Wife’s birthday weekend and this was a really enjoyable part of it.
There was a mix up with one of our meals, front of house fixed it promptly, along with a glass of wine. Appreciated.
Had spiced prawns that were really tasty. Service was good and the staff friendly. Good choices of dishes.
We waited an hour for our main meals and was cold when it finally did reach us. The waitress staff were quite rude and ignored us when trying to get their attention, when finally we got their attention, it was an inconvenience when we requested something. You have to pay for your meal prior to eating, so this would make it difficult to get your money back or to leave when your meal doesn’t arrive. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Good service and staff.
Food was great and tasty, even if some of the mix and match on the plate is 'interesting'
Great service, enjoy water views and Town Green, food was tasty. A little on the expensive side.
Ok taste but value for money pretty average. The calamari salad I ordered didn't really have lots of calamari
Went 4 breky. What a great spot.friendly staff. Pity they don't squeeze there own juice. Had eggs Benny. Wasn't the best. Would have been.much better if the hollandaise was home made. And not a 1/2 litre.poured on. Don't think we will return.
Such a great venue with friendly management and staff. The only suggestion would be to change a rather old menu which has been the same for many years. Otherwise excellent
This place is truly awful for food but OK if you are looking to sit outside for a coffee or a beer. No one told us that you can't order any food between 11am and 11: 30am. We arrived early for an 11am booking and we're told we had 5 minutes to order from the breakfast menu - so some of us ordered breakfast and some decided they would prefer to order lunch.my husband didn't bother with any food at all once he found out he would have to wait half an hour to order anything. I had the continental waffles, they were from a packet and were a grainy sugary texture - I felt unwell and had a sickly taste in my mouth from the extreme level of sugar for the next 24 hours. My sister had eggs benedict and said the egg was poached well but the bagel they were served on was unfresh and awful. Won't be back for food again.
