Choices Flooring reviews
32 We built a new Perry Home and moved into it on 15th April 2015. On the 25th November, 2015, we notified Perry Homes of the buckled bamboo flooring through the great room and main bedroom.
A floor installer from Choices at Port Macquarie laid the bamboo floor. He arrived on the 2nd December to inspect the floor and sent a report stating we were responsible for the damaged floor due to mopping it. He kept saying, 'Just admit it and I will fix it. ' We only mopped the floor once every three weeks.
The tenting bamboo went from 3.5 cms to 6.5cm and was a trip hazard.
Perry Homes denied responsibility as they supported the installer's false report.
On 24th February, 2016, a regional representative of Premiunm Flooring inspected the bamboo floor and told the installer to remove a board throughout both rooms, as it was a trip hazard. He told us we hadn't caused the problem. He asked for the skirting boards to be removed, which happened on 16th March, 2016.
It was obvious that the floor had no where to expand to as the installer had left only a 4mm gap instead of the recommended 10mm gap around the walls. The gyprock was down to the cement floor and needed to be undercut.
The National Rep from Premium Flooring arrived on 27th April, 2016 and told us we hadn't caused the problem and it would be rectified within two weeks. The bamboo had expanded double what it should have.
On 17th June, 2016 the bamboo floor was removed and finally, on the 22nd June, 2016 a new Tassie Oak floor was laid. We had to pay an extra $6,000 for the upgrade, but I couldn't live with the stress of the problems of having a bamboo floor any longer.
There are issues, when the floor installer is the person who writes up the report. Obviously he hadn't laid the floor to specifications and he wanted us to pay for him to come back and rectify his faulty work.
We couldn't be more happy with the service and finish of our floors. Craig was friendly and professional, accomodating changes, allowing us to take samples home to check the fit was right. Choices Flooring laid both carpet and Kardean loose lay planks and the finish and workmanship is second to none. The tradesmen were on time, polite, clean and tidy and did a highly professional job.
Choices Flooring Port Macquarie supplied and laid timber flooring in my unit
I can not fault their service and the end result!

Thank you to Craig and the Choices Flooring team for an awesome experience in recently providing flooring in our new home. We were impressed by the ranges of timber flooring and carpet choices. The service was exceptional in communication, information for products and the fantastic expertise from Dane in laying our timber flooring. All products are finished to a very high standard, the work was completed in a timely manner and all aspects of the flooring experience was both easy and professional. We would highly recommend Choices Flooring to anyone looking for the best in flooring options, great prices and always a smiling team.
A few months ago, we removed the carpet in the bedrooms and had Karndean vinyl flooring laid in yellow spotted gum. I am beyond happy with this product. So easy to clean, very hardy and the variety of colours that runs through each plank gives a very realistic look without the fragility of real wooden floors. I would highly recommend these to anyone as a floor choice. The staff at Choice Flooring were brilliant to deal with too.
Felt like a valued customer right from when I initially walked in the door to view samples. Great service and advice from Michael and Col. Very easy process from choosing the flooring to job completion. George did an excellent job laying the vinyl planks. Very neat, professional and site left spotlessly clean. Highly recommend!
Thank you Choices Flooring, from the measuring, quoting and installing team we are so very happy with our new carpet. We replaced the carpet in our whole house and absolutely love the final result and the professionalism in which all staff displayed. I couldn’t recommend more highly, love your work.
We had Karndean flooring laid through our house. The expert knowledge and service was outstanding from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We can not recommend Peter, Suzanne and the team at Choices Port Macquarie enough. Make them your first stop for flooring choices.
