Chinta Kechil reviews
43Great little hole in the wall restaurant. We are regulars, great food, reasonable prices and friendly helpful staff
Great authentic food. Laksa was authentic and generous with seafood, and the sambal kangkong had fantastic flavour and "wok hei. "
I've been twice to Chinta Kechil and have only positive things to say about the food and service. I'll definitely be going back.
Went for dinner last night with a mate and have both had stomach issues since… most likely will avoid in future.
To be honest, I was surprised because the taste of the laksa at this place was quite good! Will try other menu next time.
Tasty local and affordable.love the gado gado, nasi goreng and chicken satay here- and delicious char kway teow
Gone downhill. Har gauge were cold and beef and ginger stir fry was inedible. Tasted like a B Grade Chinese take away. Beef was poor quality and possibly dog. Try spice market instead.
Popular, but don't come here if you're vegetarian or vegan as there are very few choices and I'm not convinced they are actually meat/fish free. My laksa smelt of fish sauce and was surprisingly bland
Great to see Malaysian food in Double Bay. Solid selection of pretty well priced meals in a vibing restaurant. Drinks well priced too.
BEST FOOD and lovely staff - casual vibe - licensed or BYO - but did I mention: the best food & staff!?
Nice real Malaysian dishes
Fresh ingredients with great taste ~
Will come back soon for sure
Absolutely great service by the lady who took our order. She was very friendly, polite and accommodating. Ordered Char Bee Hoon and Char Kuay Teow and it was so delicious. Love their homemade chilli too.
Excellent, authentic Malaysian cuisine, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Worth a visit.
Great food, lots of flavour and generous portions. Lovely service and atmosphere. Best hot and sour soup we've had in a long time. Thank you!
Great ambiance, authentic SE Asian food. Lovely and friendly staff. Tasty delicious meal at all time
Highlight - squids, chicken curry, Mee Goreng and the beef streaks
Will come back again and bring some friends
Zero flavour. $80 for three meals. This meal made me want to cry. Saved our special take away meal for the week and I was so disappointed I wanted to cry. No flavour. Was like eating nothing. No taste.
I sampled the Beef Rendang, as for a monday a nice moist slow booked beef curry rice dish sounded ideal.
The rendang was stupidly tender, authentic to taste and a solid flavour hit with all the essence of a legitimate dish.
Nice splash of heat but not over intrusive.overall I was most impressed. Possibly did not expect such a dish ordered as a takeaway.
Worst take away ever. No flavour even marko’s recommendation was shockingly bad. Extremely dry meat with no taste. No vegetables. Nearly $70 worth extremely disappointed ️. Will never eat here again.
Have ordered from them 3 tines now while in Iso. The food is phenomenal, fresh, cooked well and is tasty. Our favourites have been the curries and the cheeky bird. Go on and order, you won’t be disappointed!
