Chicken Wizard

Not sure what's up with this shop, had my change thrown on the bench at me after ordering a chicken and chips politely. The woman is a terrible vibe, she seems like she's looking to offend people and be absolutely disgusting to her customers, and she's a mature lady. So confused, very uncomfortable to order food from a shop and experience that kind of service. This is the kind of service I'd expect from.no where, ever. So aggressive!

I eagerly returned to Chicken Wizard after a long hiatus prompted by a change in ownership, hoping for the familiar warmth and flavors that once defined the place. Sadly, my recent visit left me yearning for the Chicken Wizard of old. The service was not just slow but lacked that personal touch, creating a chaotic atmosphere that dampened the overall experience. Adding to the disappointment, the food quality had taken a noticeable dip, and the prices felt exuberant, far beyond what one would expect.

Opting for a seafood basket, I was met with culinary letdowns. The overcooked fish had the texture of rubber, and the calamari turned out to be a clever disguise—minced fish shaped into rings. The chips, a quintessential side, fell short—cold, unseasoned, and seemingly recycled from the bane Marie's corners, a regrettable shortcut witnessed by our server.

Even the seemingly straightforward chips with gravy lacked flavor and effort. It's disheartening to witness a once-beloved spot lose its charm under new management.

For those seeking a more satisfying dining experience, there are better options in the area offering superior food, attentive service, and more reasonable prices. It's a pity to see Chicken Wizard fall short of the standards set by its neighbors.

I would rate no stars if I could, Chicken Wizard used to be a place for good food and service. I haven't been there in a while and will never be going back, our orders were wrong despite having to repeat them 3 times and the food tasted terrible, I don't know what they did to the meat on the burgers but they were horrible, the potato scallops were undercooked and tasted like dough.
I tried to ring to let them know this as well but they weren't answering the phone.
In a time where everything is expensive and take away is a treat this was an absolute waste of money.
Really disappointing

Got the chicken kebab for $3.90. I think it’s decent price but the taste and texture is mediocre or is just not to my liking. A bit salty by itself.

I love Chicky Wiz. It is the first place I eat when I am visiting home. I tell all my friends in New Zealand how good Chicken Wizard is.

The owner is very rude, tried to overcharge me. First and last time eating here. Service is fken digusting, better off eating elsewhere.

It's been a while since I came back to Chicken Wizard and found there there is now a new owner. Originally wanted to order a quarter chicken and chips with gravy, however found that for a small gravy, it cost neaely 1/4 of the price of the meal. This is quite significant, especially since the gravy will have left overs. The chips there were crispy outside and soft inside, but it wasn't seasoned evenly. The chicken also a bit dry. Waiting time was long, as they did everything in order, and not based on what's ready. So I saw my order get cold, as it was lining up to be served. It's ok, but there are other chicken options in the area.

Went in for lunch and the food was delicious. Staff were very busy, but very welcoming and friendly:)

I used to go here often to buy a family pack, tasty and great value, however they’ve hiked up their prices and cut out some salad options for the meal deal (said I’d have to pay extra for tabouli when it used to be an option for the salad side). Staff besides the young kids there were so rude and due to this I won’t be going back. Hot Food in the windows also looked bad upon my latest visit, disappointing!

Horrible experience went in today to get some food and all I saw was the boss standing there yelling at all his staff, The young kids doing their job and I think he needs to learn some experience of them!

Worst customer service from the owner! He needs to take a course in customer service he could learn a lot from his staff who mostly are very friendly food is average and overpriced.
He stands around trying to look important while staff are busy leaves you waiting to order while he does nothing very unimpressive shops in panania shopping centre much better and red rooster for chickens is also better don't waste your time and money

Purchased some seafood earlier today. Threw out half the meal. So stale, it was disgusting. Will never go there again. Total waste of $27!

It's a chicken shop that is hit and miss with taking orders for how long you have to wait, especially when it has more than a few people ordering. I really hate it when I order a burger and all other orders behind mine are delivered first when they are significantly larger orders, this has happened a few times. The food is generally okay for a chicken shop, but there's so many options in the local area if I see more than a few people in the shop, I now buy elsewhere. Managers have changed and quality changed with it a couple of times and sometimes it's hard to understand the staff, but I probably buy food from there 1 or 2 times a month.

The most best service and freshest and clean a place I've ever eat about 15 different salads fresh fresh daily mate I know them personally these people excellent service 20 20 stars, rating if it could be done excellent.

The BBQ chicken and chips are really nice. The portion size is very generous. The workers in the shop are nice.

Got a cheeseburger stiff beef patty with no flavour on a stale bun mcdonalds serves a better burger will not return

I was just bought two fish burgers from this establishment. The fish was hard and smelt like a mangrove swamp at low tide. If returning them was an option I would have. I would strongly recommend not ever buying one of these from here

I ordered medium chips and small tabouli. It costs me 12.xx dollars (chips costs 5$). So I consider it's quite pricey for local.

However, there are various choices of salad, dessert and pasta (surprised!). So far, the food I ordered taste pretty alright.

It's spacious tho so you don't really worry about indoor social distance.
