56Really not sure why this lovely restaurant hasn't got a higher average on reviews, was here for dinner and the food quality is very high, attention to service also excellent, the waitress was constantly refilling our water which was a nice touch on service that you don't see often. Very busy, obviously has a lot of customers. Despite being busy was very good.
Food quality and quality was very bad, too much oil. I eat chicken fried rice with extra vegetables. But not enough chicken and vegetables.
Placed an order and was instructed it would be a 40min wait. Showed up to collect 45 minutes later, explained my order and paid. After paying, was told “it’s not ready” to which I asked why and how long. Was bluntly told “10, maybe 15 minutes” with barely an apology
Poor form, had my number and could have called to notify us.
As local I know this shop at least ten years.
Not sure if changed management. It really needs to improve in order to get two stars.
As you know the shop is small inside. Kitchen area is small and have at least 4 ppl inside this cook small area. They all not wear any mask or gloves.everyone has to speak loud so can hear each other.
1. Hygiene issue, chef speaking when prepare food without mask on. So get prepared to get some spits for your food.
2. Chef prepare food with raw and new cook food on the same chopping board.
3. Waitress ordered food for customer and bring the food with fingers in the plate. Never see them washing or sanitiser their hand. Btw. There is no sanitiser in the store either.
4. If you finished eating there and PAID for take away a whole new dish, they don’t provide you with bag, if you want to bag it, you have to PAY 50c.
5. I saw the customer said to the waitress that they just finished eat in the store and spent over $129 in this restaurant and ordered a whole new dish to take away, the customer said they PAID for take away. Why charge 50c? Why not say it when pay the bill? When they paid the bill they clearly said order a TAKE AWAY!
6. Didn’t see other customer pay 50c when pick up the take away.
7. The waitress are refused to wrap the food container with the paper bag to this customer. Under the customer insistency, there is an man seems older and looks smarter, when he heard this he immediately take a new bag and pass to the customer.applaud for him.
8. If he is the boss. Then please train your waitress.
9. Is this kind of discrimination from thai girls to the other Asian? Only nice to local white?
10. The chef girl ask this customer to wait outside and said to them it will be ready for 5-10 mins.
11. I saw the customer has been waited outside for over 15 nearly 20 minutes when the night is only 11 degrees. Then the customer came in and want to follow up the order. They CAN’T find the order! Then you know what, They ask the customer to wait outside AGAIN!
12.the Asian customer were waiting outside, but the lady chef took so long so the customer came in again to follow up the order and stayed inside. Maybe because of this, so the girl refuse to give customer a paper bag?
13. A dish in a plastic container with sauce in it I think it deserve for a paper bag to cover it especially when customer paid for over $120.14. Just hand over take away like this is not What a 10 years old restaurant should do!
15. Really need to improve the customer service and provide better Hygiene services.
Good Thai food in Sydney. Big group company with many locations. Fill you up with no frill Thai food with reasonable price.
Have regularly ordered take away from Chat Thai for many years. Always tasty food & well packaged. Our favourites include Massamun beef, pad se-ew, kana mhu grob, fresh spring rolls, goong gratiem & pineapple fried rice.
This used to be a fabulous local but the good has taken a steep decline. I won't be ordering from here again soon.
Disgusting service. The nasty, rude older guy shouldn't be working there. The food is as bad as the service. ZERO STARS.
This cost me $21.90 through #ubereats. A ridiculous price for a ridiculous meal. I ordered a yum nuea salad not a soup! Shame! No quality at all. Will never buy here again.
We ordered Tom Yam soup and Wok fried vegetables, but dishes were overwhelmingly salty. I don't think we will order again, quality decreased over the years, unfortunately.

And was like they just dumped chilli flakes in by accident. Drenched in it… I eat hot hot Indian and Thai. I eat chillies raw and this dish burnt all around my mouth.

Why bother claiming on your website you want feedback from your customers if you then don’t respond to their emails?
Explained in my email that I would rather email privately than post a bad review, but considering I have not received a response to my email in 3 months I have now changed my mind.
Waited in store for over an hour for takeaway that was cold by the time I got home (I literally live around the corner)
Why would they let it go cold if I was sitting right there? Especially after I had enquired multiple times to see if my food was ready.
Food was also greasy, stodgy and tasteless.

45 minute timeframe to order on Uber east pick up!
Then you get there and they either haven’t got your order or haven’t even started cooking despite the app saying it’s ready.won’t communicate with you or give you a simple apology.
This is the second time and should have learnt my lesson after the first.
Absolutely no basic customer service standards and are so rude to you.
Threaten to cancel your order and your food will magically appear!
We will not order and eat from Chat thai again.
They have ready made orders on the shelf but prioritise them for top customers! (boxes of food is already sitting there on the shelf ready to go)
a couple of us waited for more than an hour after the scheduled picked up time, 1 person went to the counter to cancel and get a refund, and immediately got his order. We saw with our own eyes the staff push back certain orders which is unethical behaviour.
They seem to prioritise big orders, and regular customers (phone orders) over those ordering over menu log or uber eats.
1 guy there waited for two hours and keep watching his simple fried rice order getting pushed back.
The food quality is blend, they put way too much vinegar or lemon juice in our order everything tasted sour: (
Don't order on weekends or you will be waiting for more than hour to pick up your order.
I ordered via uber eats and had to wait more than an hour after the displayed pick up time. Even when uber app say it was.ready
Do not order from this.they cancel order to the last minute very unprofessional and unreliable!
Disgusting, completely inedible. Mind blown how a business can charge and operate serving such below standard food. Proceeding with further action/ compensation regarding my order with a Uber eats.
I asked for disposable items and they did not deliver it to me. So I called them if there is a way to sort it out but they just left me hanging after picking up the phone for like 5 mins and when I explained what happened the lady just said I’m sorry sir and hung up. Now Im just sitting here with nothing but my hands to eat the food.
Honestly the worst Thai I have ever eaten. Given it's popularity and reviews at other outlets wanted to treat myself to a nice thai meal which ended up being a complete disappointment and waste of money. "Vegetable Spring Rolls" was JUST pastry and vermicelli noodles- not a vegetable in sight, Pad See Ew noodles were grey and soggy.
Good food but they are often under staffed so wait times are often much longer than they advise. They also stuff up the orders.
