Charlestown Square Medical Centre reviews
25Cancel your appointments and don’t try give you another one for a week even if you need medication
Have been going to this doctor surgery for well over 15 years and have found over the last 5 years or so most of the doctors just are not interested in helping in anyway. Was in on the 12th and saw a Dr Ballal is was the worst experience ever, was unhelpful, and just kept saying have a nice day to get me out of the office. After so many bad experiences I think I will be searching for a new doctor in the very near future.
I have been coming here for many many years now and I see Dr Daniher mostly for the last 3 years who is very friendly and professional and helpful and does whatever he can medically to help me and takes his time with each & never rushes through a consultation,
I also see Dr Kershaw whenever I need to especially if Dr Daniher is unavailable or off sick or holidays and I need someone urgently or for woman’s health issue she was firstly my regular GP and she to is also friendly and professional and helpful and does whatever she can for me and all her other patients,
Unfortunately this surgery is no longer longer bulk billing practice but I’m not going anywhere else now will be staying with these wonderful doctors for the rest of my life and am happy to pay for my consultations because I know that myself and my family are getting great medical care from these people,
All the girls are also beautiful ladies who do everything in their power to help the patients both over the phone and at the reception desk and I don’t remember having any of the past or present reception staff or nurses have a bad attitude towards me or my family and If there has been any issues it’s sorted out immediately and we move on, I give Charlestown Square Medical Centre 10 / 10 for their professional and helpful service and also the nurses are lovely as well, Thank you so much to the doctors and nurses and staff members ️. Wouldn't recommend this practice. Staff were nasty, condecsending and abrupt. Better off going to the MANY other Bulk Billing local practices.
Went to Charlestown Square Medical Centre today for our first AZ vaccination shot & very impressed with their set up. The line looked long to go inside, but it moved quickly, staff were great, informative and there to point you in the right direction at each stage. The Dr answered all our questions & we walked out with simple instructions on when to book our second shot. Thank you for making a nerve racking process very simple.
I went to see the dr, waited half an hour which is expected. Whilst in the room the dr addressed things I did not ask about at all and even told me about a family members personal issues. They spoke about IUD’s which I did not ask about not had anything to do with why I was there. The consult took quite a while and I was even told by the dr that they did not charge for longer sessions. When at the counter I had to wait again as the front receptionist was on the phone. When I was finally seen to I was informed I was getting charged for a longer consult. I did not need a longer consult in fact I advised the receptionist that most of that time was the dr talking about things I did not ask about or personal views. I was still charged an extra $40 totalling $117 due to the longer time taken!
Doctor was great, but I was never advised about a longer consultation would cost more by the receptionist. I went in to the doctor at 9: 32am and came out to the front desk at around 10: 30-31, I was waiting for the receptionist to talk to me obviously she was busy looking at the computer so I had to wait, and they charged me $117. I’m bit disappointed in this. I did not mind the 30mins wait for the doctor since 9am and I was charged this much for one simple consultation.
Dr Wild has been very understanding and informed in helping me through the gender transition process. I recommend coming here if you need help in that area. I never have to wait long and reception staff are friendly.
My family and I have been coming to this surgery for years and have always sang the praises of the Doctors and reception staff. But today we waited an hour in the waiting room. When I asked the Dr why weren't called he said we were a no show. So unfortunately at check in we must not have been added into the system. I was not asked for my Health Care card upon check in, so assumed all was ok. Only to be asked upon check out for my card and told that I would be billed $80 for the visit. In these hard times $80 for a visit that usually does not cost me is a big surprise.
Needed to get sutures out, booked by phone as a new patient, in and out within 10 minutes of my appointment. Had the pleasure of seeing Dr Shun, was apprehensive due to prior experience having sutures removed but was quick and pain free.
From the perspective of a new patient, I have only experienced quick, friendly, helpful service from good mannered receptionists. The gps I have seen so far have been open, friendly and genuinely helpful.
I've been visiting this Medical Centre since I was born, primarily Dr Mills but also Dr Hart, Dr Pearce and Dr Daniher. Very friendly staff and doctors who take the time to ensure your well looked after. The practice is new and modern and has a large nurses station. There's multiple waiting areas which makes it nicer to spread out. I would recommend this surgery to anyone in this area.
Never waited more then 10 minutes ever. Dr Danaher & Dr Wood are who my family sees, they are amazing! Convenient location
Have been going their for years. Had to go in for heart surgery Sept. 10 and haven't seen GP yet. Most uninterested. Both teception and Doctors need to learn listening skills. I needed payhology for INR and got 2 visits. All about money
Saw a doctor after 6pm. They charged me $100. I am OK to pay if they are upfront with fee when I rang up for an appointment for a script for a minor ailment. I don't think I will use this surgery in the future. I think GP access after hours would be much better to serve wider public after hours.
Not a caring place. Reception staff need communication training, certainly no compassion for those in need of medical help.from a workplace injury. "Next week is the earliest" is not a responsible answer. One in particular is In the wrong industry. Very unhelpful. People aren't just a Medicare cheque. Don't go there if you're sick or hurt. No care given.
Very strange and dumb "walking in" system for seeing the doctors. You can't book an appointment ahead of time.
The Dr I saw at this practice failed to tell me the risks involved with a procedure I was about to have done. Not only was this frustrating but also very time consuming and costly.
Always helpful and polite. I have been going there for years and never had a problem. Dr Pearce excellent.
They saw my daughter at short notice when we were visiting in town. No dramas and the doctor was great. Has men's magazines to read whilst waiting. 3 hours free parking in Charlestown Square. Pathology next door. +
