I have been here twice, once for a head MRI and the other for my knees. The process was quick. Staff were polite and helpful. They accept medicare rebate where applicable.

Mri with sedation team has been usually fabulous. I kept booking with them only. To them 4 starts. Some receptionist have been great and easy to talk to others not others just not ok. So 3 stars balance. Ultrasound person today was behaving rudely, unprofessionally and controlling. She didn't respect medical condition I experience. This is 0 stars. I left as It was unacceptable and I have booked elsewhere. I give over all 3 only because of good mri with sedation team and the senior booking person Elizabeth. Wish they allign the whole practice to be the best possible higher service asap.

Had an MRI scheduled, suffer from mild clausterphobia and could not get through the session. It was the first time I had ever expereinced a panic attack, the lady who operated the MRI machine (did not get her name) and Emily (the receptionist) response and behaviour was outstanding. Emily the receptionsit could not have been nicer, more sympathetic and lovely in how she managed my next booking (with sedation this time). Thank you Emily)

Booked me in next day for MRI where other company (Spectrum) required 3 weeks. Amazing service and very polite staff.

Received fantastic service at Castlereagh Imaging. Was able to book an MRI quickly. Grateful that they offer after hours appointments. The receptionist and MRI Technologist were friendly and professional. I was anxious before the scan but they made me feel comfortable. I was given ear plugs and offered a choice of music to listen to from Spotify which was nice. I recommend attending this Imaging centre.

The young lady help me with my nervousness
Place music and the scan was ok at the end.

Very disappointed in Castlereagh. Information provide to me at my last procedure by doctor and two staff is now being denied. Dr did not speak with me needed to deal with admin staff about medical issue.

Don't go here. Staff are dismissive, pay very little attention to the patient. Waiting room and imaging theatre has a musky damp smell. I was left waiting on the MRI bed for 10 minutes after the procedure was done with absolutely no concern from the imaging specialist. Horrendous experience.

I have been putting off doing an MRI for months because of my anxiety and claustrophobia until I came across this facility. I attended today for an MRI under sedation. Having severe claustrophobia my anxiety was at its highest. The staff there were simply great to make feel at ease and to assist in making the experience as best as possible. Thank you ladies. The anesthetist doctor reassured me it would be completely fine and an easy experience and it sure was, thank you. My anxiety and claustrophobia disappeared and time just went past so quickly. Those who are putting off MRI because of claustrophobia I highly recommend you attend this clinic as you won’t be disappointed.

Positives: person on the front desk and person who performed the MRI were both warm, clear and friendly. Negatives: booking process and subsequent forms were double-handled, unclear, contradictory - receptionist who handled making my appointment was rude and the absolute definition of a jobsworth. Also, imaging reports were marked as urgent but were not ready for my appointment with my specialist. And, in fact, reports took 5+ days to be generated which was longer than their outside maximum. I feel bad leaving a bad review when all businesses are struggling in a post-Covid environment but would hate for any other patients to suffer the annoyance, unprofessionalism and delays that I have. Try IMED or literally anywhere else.especially if the only factor is expense.

Every time I have spoken to the staff on the telephone they have been absolutely amazing to deal with. If you go to any medical practice these days you’ll often find that the reception staff are horrible but these guys are absolutely incredible. Upbeat, friendly and helpful. Thanks for making the effort with your patients

Ultrasound technician repeatedly couldn't read my name. Was very poor mannered, abrasive and short tempered. Seemed annoyed by her job. And me. Was unsympathetic that I had an arm injury and was unable to keep it in a certain position for such a long time. Afterwards she left me waiting in the consulting room for a long time for no evident reason. When I eventually emerged to ask if it was okay to leave she just said yes you can go. I asked her why she had kept me waiting for so long in the room and she said that she'd been checking my photos.we both looked at the screen and the screen was empty. She was not checking my photos. She was reading another patients referral. I wouldn't trust this place at all.

I attended for an MRI under sedation as I am severely claustrophobic and I cannot fault the A team I couldn't have gone through this without the wonderful supportive staff at Castlereagh thank you very much

I went this place 4 times in the past. I did not have any problems before.
But this time I had ultrasound for liver. Asian technician was not kind nor caring.

I was told “deep breathe in and hold”, then “relax”, many times. But when she did not say “relax”, I was struggling. She told me “ breathe normally if I don’t say anything! ” But she did not say “relax”.

Also during procedure she put the handle too tight to my ribs, so it was quite painful.
But she told me “if you don’t breathe in deeply I have to push hard. ”
Is it true?

I felt she wanted to protect herself, she does not care about patient’s comfort.
When the procedure was finished, she was gone without saying anything.
So I had to ask receptionist whether I could go or stay for the film. Usually I was told either by technician.
She was very unkind. I suffered a lot from her procedure. I have never had this experience from any other technician.

Please do not engage this service provider with the expectation of timely or pleasant service. After I waited 45 minutes past the time I was scheduled for an MRI. The front desk staff seemed shocked that I would complain after waiting 45 minutes and were unwilling to accommodate any rescheduling. This is unacceptable for any organisation.

I was running late for bad traffic but They could cancel or reschedule the appointment. But whoever did MRI she was very rude with me but I was quite and patience for being late. She said to me you are too far way to your appointment, so I don’t have time to repeat you anything.

I attended Castlereagh Imaging in Edgecliffe on a Sunday night. My appointment was at 9.30pm but someone had cancelled, so they called me to see if I wanted to come in earlier. The girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful and the MRI was quick and professional. At the end of the test, I waited in the large waiting room for a few minutes before they gave me the scans and told me the report would be sent directly to my referring doctor. The parking was easy and they even have a designated drop off and pick up point.

I've been to this place twice for 2 separate shoulder MRI's and both times I had to stay an hour longer than supposed to. The admin staff are unorganised and have lost scripts on both occasions.

The doctor administering the needle is extremely rude and quite frankly hopeless at his job. Blames the patient for his inability to get the needle in the correct spot. Took half an hour of about 8 excrutiating needles before he finally got the GAD in the correct spot.

Avoid at all costs.

My experience:
- equipment not cleaned between patients
- tech did not wash his hands
- tech was an unsupervised ‘student’ who was very poor at his job and took twice as long as he should have
- I was forced to stand on a makeshift, jerry-rigged set of stools for an ankle X-ray. There were NO hand grips and it was quite dangerous. Scary too.
- I complained to the practice manager who airily dismissed my concerns. When I mentioned her attitude she patronisingly assured me that she was taking me most seriously indeed. She promised to follow up and speak to me ‘soon’. Alas, no such contact took place.
Patients would be well advised to avoid this place
