Unprofessional, unorganized, and just rude.
There really needs to be the ability to give a "0" rating as one star is just too kind.
Reception are abrasive, unhelpful and always say they will "call you back". They never do.
The reception is a direct reflection of the doctors in this practice, who are also abrasive and rude.
More concerning though is the way the doctors discuss your condition & requirements in a highly generalized manner, which upon further questions you realize they have not reviewed the historical records; this is dangerous and highly unprofessional.
Do yourself a massive favor and go somewhere else.

Shocking
My dad had an x-ray at this place on the 25/10/23, and had been told the report will be email/fax to the referral Dr.directly. I called the specialist’s practice today 21/11/23 to check if the report has been sent through; the answer was that nothing had been received.

I called Castlereagh Imaging St Leonards asking for the report to send to the Dr, after giving Dad’s name/ DOB/ Medicare number, they advise me they “don’t have this person’s file”. After calling Dad to confirm the correct practice I called again to ask for the report, answered repeating questions, and then again had been told they don’t have Dad’s file.

Frustrated, we were forced to go to the GP to ask for a new referral prepared to do the X-ray. Luckily enough, the GP’s practice manager was kind enough to help call the centre again, this time spectacularly they found Dad’s report! I called back and ask why this situation took place but they won’t explain!

Very unprofessional staff. Don’t go there; they may easily lose your report then find it later without any reason for the entire situation.

I would like to thank the Castlereagh Imaging team at Leonards for their proactive patient-oriented service and professional efficiency. All the staff went to extreme lengths to ensure that my visits were made as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The reception team was amazing; friendly, accommodating and well organised.
The radiographers conducting my EOS, MRI and CT Scans were incredibly personable, reassuring and flawlessly professional.

To all at St Leonards, thanks so much for giving me plenty of reasons to recommend you as an outstanding community of professionals who take the anxiety out of imaging procedures and who exemplify humanity at its best.

Reception staff was amazing, one lady in particular however I didn't get her name. The doctor and nurse were great too.

I attended this clinic for my first cortisone injection to treat a frozen shoulder. I was nervous about the injection as I’m in so much pain and can’t stand having my arm moved around. From the moment we arrived we were treated so kindly by the front desk team and I felt a lot better. The care continued in to the procedure with the doctor and support staff just so so amazing at reassuring me and talking to me throughout. I cannot thank the team enough for their care yesterday and am so hopeful this injection does the trick on my shoulder. We drove to St Leonards from the Sutherland Shire as I’d heard excellent reports about the team and I won’t hesitate to travel here again.

I came in for an MRI and told the staff the date of my surgeon's appointment. My doctor's appointment was 17: 30pm. There were four full working days between the date of the scan and my doctor's appointment. Very disappointing that my MRI report was still not available for my doctor to review!
The decision to have a surgery is going to delay. I now have to make another appointment to see my doctor.

As others have mentioned, the reception staff are.well, this is a family website. Let's just say they have an aura around them that says 'I don't want to help you in any way and I have no compassion for you. ' I say this with utmost sincerity.

Serious lack of customer/patient care at the reception…. The nurse that did my X-ray was nice though!

Very, very friendly staff! Not something that I can confess in saying that often, however the guys that were there when I arrived and took care of me during the entire process were kind, polite, helpful and considerate.
I had an evening MRI and of course, being the airhead that I am and rushing out to get there in time for my appointment, was a bit of a fluster, forgetting my mask, completely flustered crashing through the doors and straight to reception. The lady who was at the desk simply passed me a box of masks, much like passing someone a tissue, which I greatfully accepted with an embarrassed 'oops gesture' one hand over my mouth and the other pulling out a mask.
The lady then responded with, 'Not to worry, it happens to us all sometimes'. Then continued to ask, are you here for an MRI? I nodded fumbling with my mask and then said you must be 'and addressed me by my name' handled me the forms to fill out and about a minute after I handed them back the radiographer greeted me by name and politely gestured to head down the hall way and to the left. Needless to say, as unpleasant some people, me included, find the MRI process, it was made very easy and simple and was over before I knew it. Great Staff, Clean Facilities, Very Personel and Profesioal Service. Thanks Everyone!

Been here a couple of times this year for various things like ultrasound, X-rays and an MRI. Staff and receptionists are friendly. Never had to wait long.

I work in health care and came to have a CT guided ultrasound of the right hip. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the empathy, communication, skill of the clinicians Dr Sonadgol and Ashleigh. They were brilliant and I could not fault their procedure-hopefully the outcome will be good too- but this is up to my body and not influenced by them.
The reason I gave 3 stars was PURELY because of the extremely unfriendly reception staff Rochelle and Claudia. When I first came to book for the procedure, I checked in via the QR code and was wearing a mask. Claudia (who wasn’t involved in my check in process) ask if I had checked in and I said “yes”- she then said “can I see it”- my issue with this is three fold:
1. She wasn’t checking me in.she was infact busy doing something else
2. I clearly said I had check in and was wearing a mask.s why? …she didn’t believe me
3. There was no “please”, “thankyou”. Where is the common courtesy?
She is from RSA and having family from there, I know they can be a little abrupt in communication. As I went through the booking process, (approx 10mins), 3 other people came in and not once did she ask these people for their "evidence" of QR check in. I wondered why I was singled out and actually felt quite discriminated against. The second time I came for my actual procedure, I checked in with my QR code and entered with my mask; again Rochelle also asked me if I scanned in and again I said I had and again, I was asked to prove it. Again, 2 people followed me and neither were asked to “prove” this. Why bother asking.just say "good day, may I please see your QR check in". The rest of the interaction just feels disrespectful and unnecessary. Reception teams are the first people seen on entry and both times my experience has been marred by these two people. I am a clinical nurse and REALLY aware that we are in a pandemic and fully respect the caution we need to show; I am more than happy to comply, but if you are going to ask, then firstly be consistent and ask everyone (or no one) and secondly (more importantly) ask these questions in a non offensive way. As above, Rochelle and Claudia are the very first representatives of Castlereagh Imaging St Leonard’s and thus should greet patients with warmth and empathy. It’s such a shame as the procedure went so smoothly, but I really
resented the reception process both times.

#castlereaghimaging get better receptionists. Their service is terrible. I had an appointment last week. The receptionist who saw me was rude, dismissive, gave me looks and didn't do her job correctly. Didn't bother checking my Medicare card, which details have changed. Said that I was going to get my claim money back overnight, which didn't happen. I am still waiting for my $600 back. I sent an email regarding this, which ofcourse I didn't get an answer. I requested an apology for the poor communication and service by the reception staff, which I haven't received yet. The clinical staff were efficient and polite. The reception staff are letting the place down. If you can avoid this place.

A few nice staff members that helped my situation but the majority were rude, unhelpful and patronizing. I had to constantly chase up and follow up on my report, after 3 months I called back and I have just been told they were unable to give me a report.

I am a seriously patient person and I never write reviews. But this one tipped me over the edge. Will never return.

Came here for a cortisone injection in my knee recently and I couldn’t fault the service from start to finish. The staff were brilliant, the doctors explained everything clearly and I was made to feel comfortable the whole time. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I ever needed to!

Look, customer service is one thing but patient care should be your utmost priority.
I don’t care if you don’t greet me with a smile or talk to me in a nice tone, but to not tell me about all the main side affects of the injection and completely dismiss me when you can see that I’m stumbling around and I’m confused is absolutely not ok. Every single thing you do to a patient should be monitored. I was injected with the imaging dye and 5 minutes later I was discharged. Even if you don’t have time to look after every patient- at least call them prior to the appointment and have them arrange a safe way to get home due to the possible side affects. I had to stumble around St Leonards feeling drugged out of my mind for 2 hours before I even felt safe enough to sit in my car. I do not recommend this place until they actually learn how to care for patients properly.

I'm a deaf patient with balance and diziness problems. I always have trouble communicating and absorbing all important details and information but those at castlereagh have been so accomodating to me making it such a pleasant experience. Shoutout to Ashley who was just so lovely and patient with me and along with the other girls who wrote on notepads for me when my phone wasn't working.
