Castlereagh Boutique Hotel reviews
33Great location. Walking distance to Town Hall, which is an important station (hence you can get anywhere). Great value as well because the housekeepers were great. Room was super clean. However the walls are a bit thin because we can hear people talking on the hallway. On the last few nights, there were even people trying to get into our room by knocking on the door and turning the door knob (probably drunk). The housekeeping staff deserve most of the credits!
Room was lovely, clean and tidy. Service was excellent location perfect within walking distance to where we were going.
Rooms are small, little space, very simple. Be quite full. No room for suitcases. Bathroom is basic. Located in the center of Sydney.
So I paid extra for a room with a bath as it's a couples weekend. The room is so small it has a double bed as a queen won't fit. The bath is too small for me to fit in alone. I'm on the 10th floor and today all the lifts are broken. Great location. An old property that has not been maintained
Breakfast was great and reasonable price. Front of house staff were a bit off (moody or rude). Treating guests offhandedly like they don't enjoy their job.
However, I love this hotel great vibe and reasonable cost and good location to uptown n downtown.
What a customer service.
I went this place on Sunday morning (28. May). The receptionist was ridiculously rude & unprofessional
I Could not believe how she treated her customers.
This kind of person should not stay in front of your business.
Absolute clown show of a place. As I’m waiting to check in, there are people walking up to the desk and saying room numbers and being handed physical keys without questioning or ID. Then I’m given a key to a room that I go to and there’s someone in it. Then am given another room that’s vacant which I’m notified the next morning will have construction outside of. Left immediately.
Quaint and old fashioned in style but fantastic location for shopping, dining and the New Years eve fireworks at Mrs Mc Point. Service was good although we had to pay $50 for a late check out as a BNk holiday. Great for explorong the city. Little coffee shop next door does a lovely little breakfast
No parking is a huge worry and adds $60 to $80 per nite to your bill not to mention not having you car close by. The foyer has been made beautiful but the rooms are still terrible. Bathrooms especially bad.
An okay hotel- the room was clean, a little small for the price (and offered a tiny pringles can, a water bottle and small toblerone for $5 each?). The elevator is a bit scary. The walls aren’t soundproofed very well- we definitely heard other guests at 1am. The hotel provides a nice continental breakfast (at $10 pp), and is in a good position. I’d recommend finding somewhere that has enough value for the price however
Good location, tiny rooms, nice staff, everything is old and just not that nice — boutique is the word they use instead of “in need of upgrade”
A true pleasure to stay in the rooms are very well presented clean tidy nothing out of place just a grand place
- classy hotel
- staff very friendly
- very good room service
- clean rooms
- located in the heart of Sydney
- walls are thin, you will hear the neighbors
Great meals but would have been nice to be offered a coffee and chocolate at end of the meal. Staff were awesome and good looking too.
Small hotel in what was the old Masonic Club. Small rooms but very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast in the dining room was $10pp and an excellent place to start the day. Centrally located near transport and all venues. We will stay there again
This hotel had the comfiest bed I’ve ever stayed in that was not my own. Amazing location and the staff were helpful too. Just don’t come expecting an amazing view or huge rooms (you get what you pay for) and you will be happy.
Exhilarating old world ambience, themes & decor.
Phenomonal Fawlty Towers show last night.
I haven't laughed so much in decades. Great audience interaction, authentic, hilarious performers.
My jaws were aching from laughing.
Wandered over to St Marys cathedral after to be amazed by the light displays.
We have rebooked for another stay in February.
I am very happy with the management of the hotel. I came there it was a construction zone near the hotel. It was very noisy. I couldn’t sleep. But the lovely manager explained to me it was an emergency not a construction zone which caused noise overnight. I got a full refund. I really appreciate understanding of my situation that I had to leave to another hotel at night.
Best hotel in sydñey. Close to everywhere yet quiet enough to stay in a comfortable and quiet surrounding.out of bussle and bussle. Been go to hotel for the last 4 years not including lockdown time.
My favourite hotel to stay at for work travel. Amazing beds, water pressure and newly renovated rooms.
