Castle Hill Library reviews
28One of the loudest library.people just shouting, laughing loud and making all sorts of noise.highly impossible to concentrate here.do not recommend this library to anyone who wants to actually read or study something
Beautiful library, most of the staff are nice, but there's this one rude staff, young man - I wish we got his name
The place is so well-kept and it is made to make the visitors as convenient and comfortable as possible. The staff especially are very polite and helpful with everyone. Ask them for the location of a book, how to check-out or return it, they make sure to come with you and help you.
I am so disappointed, I joined the quiet study space to work on my uni assignment and I was approached by a tall skinny man with a mustache who was obnoxiously rude. I had not spoken a word to my friend for 2 hours and he he spoke to me like I was a peice of dirt on his shoe threatening to kick me out. Do better, I will never be coming back to this place as I was treated like scum, review your staff castle hill library.
Great facilities and programs. Helpful and enthusiastic staff. Great selection of books except for children's board books. Either most of the board books have been lent out or there were not many to begin with.
The staffs there always friendly and listen to your needs. And the place there full of good books and nice environment
Very organised library with many accessible resources (both online and on site). It does get very busy and is often filled with students. The only true quiet area is in the study room which gets filled up pretty quickly. There is a cafe inside and WiFi. It is quite small though and there should be more places to sit around and study. Otherwise, good library.
Great library, plenty of space and nice cafe. Lots of activities on for all ages, kids love coming here.
Library is very nicely and thoughtfully laid out. Kid’s section of the library is beautifully laid out, my son enjoyed so much at kids section. Also library has got a cafe.
Highly recommended.
One of the best libraries in Sydney, has a cafe. Comfy chairs and very clean. Can get very busy at times. Good selections of books and magazines. Highly recommended.
Very good friendly place. Well equipped, friendly staff, great quiet study room. Visiting Sydney from interstate, really enjoy coming here for some study and work.
Best library! Nice staff there, and great kids area and kids book selections! Love the nice little cafe as well!
A light-filled, clean, modern and expansive space. Friendly staff too. Also has a cafe inside. A great library to work or study.
Very nice cosy library with a cafe, plenty of comfy armchairs and group seating/study areas. Well set up, easy to find different sections. Plenty of fiction books, large print, DVDs, Chinese books, magazines, hobby and special interest books like war, history and local activities: Lego sessions, gardening talks etc.
Easy parking downstairs, accessible by lift or stairs. Walk across to castle towers or metro station not far away.
One of my absolute favorite places in the world. I could be lost there for hours, submerged inside all the wonderful collection of books. Staff were also extremely friendly and helpful to all my needs. The environment is very quiet and calm. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
During HSC months it gets very full so you need to get there early to get a spot. It’s usually quiet and it’s an easy spot to get to by car or public transport.
A beautiful, well laid out library. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and 1 minute walk fron Castle Towers. Proud to be a member and would highly reccomend any book lovers to join
An accessible library with adequate quiet study rooms and what's more, you can eat and drink. However, the wifi is slow at times. If you want to come here to study, probably look at ebook and the collection of books in their library.
This library is usually very noisy. After 3pm, the "quiet room" is full of school students talking loudly, and the staff don't seem to care. The cafe is overpriced. But the most annoying thing is that there are very few study desks available. I sat at one of the desks in the computer section, where there was plenty of space for me to study. There wasn't a single person using any of the computers, and I was far away from everyone else, so I was being COVID-safe. A librarian came and told me to move because apparently that section was only for people using the computers. Since there was nobody using any of the computers, that made no sense to me. There are several cushioned chairs around the library that nobody ever seems to use. Perhaps these could be replaced by more study desks. And please do something about the noise levels, particularly in the "quiet room. "
