INCREDIBLE trustworthy team! My Prado had a major $10k+ engine fault. I broke down with no warning (I was going to Toyota directly and had just spent $2K on a service to check everything after Covid). A friend helped me tow it to John, he was VERY busy and went out of his way to help me. I cannot express how AMAZING he was with me. As a Woman you always feel a little on edge with mechanics. John was patient and went out of his way to show me each part, explained all of my options, dealt with Toyota (it was a known fault) AND gave me a copy of the diesel mechanics invoice to ensure transparency on such an expensive job. He gave me a HIRE CAR for 2mths while they rebuilt the engine! I run a business and have kids - I could have cried at the generosity. This took all of the stress and added expense out of a very unlucky situation. I will be shouting my recommendation to the roof tops - John and the Cater team are honest professionals! Thank you!

Thank you so much to the lovely mechanic that fixed my car at short notice when I was travelling through tweed to Canberra. A bolt had rattled loose and a bracket was vibrating under the car. It was repaired on the spot free of charge. Thank you Carter Automotive.

I was need of urgent help when my car broke down near their workshop. I had the car fully loaded with the wife and three kids on our way home to Sydney after our holiday at the Gold Coast.
They spotted me broken down and even thou they where closed being a public holiday they came and asked me if I needed any help.
We did and they did not hesitate to open the workshop up and get my Toyota Prado fixed up promptly and right the first time.
Without their help we would have been stranded at 5.00am on the side of the street at Tweed Heads.
I could not recommend or commend them enough. Also being a public holiday they saved me a mega amount of time and money.
Being a mechanic myself and been doing it for along time I know service like that is near impossible to get and unheard of.
If anyone needs their vehicle serviced or repaired I know there is no way you could go past the team at Carter Automotive. Very knowledgeable and expert service.

In an industry where trust is key, which is hard to find, John and his team satisfied all my values across the board. Last Friday I called the Carter Automotive asking for a quote to change oil and oil filter of my 2013 Mitsubishi Pajero Diesel, I got a quote of $ 220.00 to do the job.

Today I dropped the car there, when I went to pick up car up later, I got a big surprise of $ 372.60 just to change the oil and oil filter.

No one contacted me to let me know the price was going change.
I’m very disappointed with the communication of business have with me.
You guys should have contacted me before starting the job.
This can be an example for anyone to be aware of this mechanics job. ️️

The guys at Carter really looked after me. My car's not the most expensive thing at the moment but mechanically she's healthy. It went in for a blue slip and I let Carter Automotive know that she's not worth much. There were a couple of issues here and there and Carter made the repairs with budget in mind. They really did a fantastic job at a mind blowing price. Thanks guys, especially John!

This place is the best! Absolutely amazing customer service - right from the initial phone call to book. I was booked in for a blue slip inspection, arrived VERY late, inspection staff had finished for the day, but John (manager) was so keen to help he managed to organise for someone to return to carry out my blue slip inspection! Awesome service, thank you so much John! Definitely recommend!
