Carberry Park Playground reviews
19Fantastic playground for a stopover with kids. Playground was completely upgraded a few years back and this year a much welcomed improvement with the huge sail shade cloths over all play areas especially important since Gundagai is always hot and sunny.
Very clean park with a lot of activities for kid, BBQs area, toilet and opposite is Woolies if you want to purchase something. A good hour break if you drive Syd-Mel.
Great spot for the kids to stretch their legs in the way to Wagga. Bonus woolies is across the road.
Lots of space with well maintained play equipment. A must stop if you're looking for a rest on the drive along the Hume
One of the absolute best playgrounds ever.
It has it all and Gundagai is a great stop on the highway.
There's a woollies across the road too
This playground is amazing. Gundagai should be proud of this amazing facility.we planned a half an hour break here on our way through but we couldn't leave, our kids loved it. AMAZING
One of the best outdoor playgrounds on the Hume Highway. Though take note that shade sails are NOT installed over the equipment as at November 2022. Avoid on hot days.
Good points:
- well designed and tall climbing tower for kids aged 3 and up. Entrance to the tower has been cleverly designed to prevent younger kids from getting too high.
- separate age appropriate equipment for kids aged 1 - 3.
- multiple wheel chair accessible equipment options.
- All abilities flying fox.
- Cafes and Woolworths within walking distance.
- BBQs and shaded tables provided.
Needs improvement:
- Shade sails not provided.
- Toilets need improvement.
- No red bins, only green bins (Bins only provided for food and organic waste.)
My first 5 star rating & it for a playground. But I can't find fault with it. Fantastic for all kids, big, small & kids at heart.
Great stop to get the kids to burn off some energy during a long road trip. Better equipment than a lot of new parks around our council. Disability accessible play equipment and BBQs, toilets and lots of shade. Shops and cafes nearby.
A brilliant park, just down from the main shops. There is loads of interesting and challenging equipment for older children, while plenty of engaging equipment for toddlers as well.
Zip lines, swings, loads of slides, merry-go-rounds and see-saws are all here.
Fences separate the road from the playground - but it is not fully enclosed.
If you’re lucky enough to be travelling the fantastically boring Hume highway with kids, you’ll appreciate this fabulous playground halfway between Melbourne and Sydney. Loads of space, shady trees and tables to eat and great play equipment for younger and older kids, including an adventure tower and flying fox. Excellent coffee up the road, toilets next door and Woolworths is across the road, all just off the highway. Getting everyone back in the car is the only problem.
Fantastic park in the heart of Gundagai. Great variety of equipment for ages 1-10. A good mix of sun and shaded areas. Picnic benches and bins. On street parking available. Toilets available.
Amazing, modern, semi-inclusive playground.
Huge array of equipment with lots of options for toddlers and children with disabilities.
Really well thought out and has different equipment to many playgrounds. Will definitely be making this a regular stop on drives to and from Melbourne.
Great stop off to let the kids burn some energy on a long drive! Not so great on extremely hot days. If towing a caravan, it’s best to park at Mirrabooka (?) Library.
Our kids love this huge park. Especially the huge flying fox and spinning sw8 vs and tall climbing tower with twirling slide. Bbq with tables are also available. Information centre near by so a good spot to take a pit stop especially for families with kids. This park caters for young children and the older children. It's one of the largest parks woth modern equipment I have ever seen. Well worth the visit.
It's such a nice playground for families with kids to take a break, especially between Sydney and Melbourne drive. It's probably the largest outdoor kids play I've seen.
Nice playground. Has many play equipments. We stopped on the way to Melbourne. It was relaxing. Has good toilet facilities, bbq shed, enough space for kids to run around. Flying fox were my kids fav.
So many different play equipment and there was a cool double swing for two people where you sit facing each other. They had a extensive variety of slides and the kids there truly seemed to love it. Very entertaining.
Excellent selection and array of play equipment for all ages from babies/toddlers to older kids! Just off hwy. Mix of spongy ground and bark chips. Shade, BBQ and covered tables.
