Cancer Council reviews
14Went knowing that I could get certain clothing, disappointed did not get the clothing I wanted not much variety
It was pretty bad.the two staff were disorganized and the lady was lazy and didn't seem like she knew what on earth was going on. I really hope she was new. Not enough communication on who was serving which customer. I was in the store way too long.
I'm torn. Nothing wrong with the actual service at all. I love that cancer council are here to protect people from melanoma.
However, their sunscreen is a disgrace. The ingredients in their sunscreen is incredible toxic for our oceans and reefs. They should be ashamed for using those ingredients. You name it, it's got it in it. C'mon Cancer Council. Wake up!
DO NOT BUY SUNGLASSES. I paid 50AUD and they broke the first day just falling from a small table, the quality of the plastic is terrible.
This is more like a not-so-cheap gimmicky Aussie souvenir shop than an outlet for responsible protective products. Gloves that don't even cover your wrists, when they should come half-way up your forearms. Few fabric hats for women that are 100pc cotton. Have you ever tried wearing a synthetic blend hat on a hot day, Cancer Council? Your branding would improve if you sold well-designed products. And, despite the high prices and poor quality, the sales staff have the effrontery to ask for a donation. Not a good look, Cancer Council. Order better products, or get out of the retail space.
The Cancer Council does great work and I've supported them for years now by buying their products and donating. Went in today to buy a new pair of sunglasses. Very happy.
U can find everything related to sun protection here. Moreover, i bought a nice and dressy hat from them last week that every loved in the party yesterday.
Reasonably priced, reliable quality goods combined with friendly no pressure service is all I need to say this is my go to place for sun protection. Just so easy and great to not need to check whether something is rated (or real) or the staff don't know what the rating means.
Matthew was friendly and helpful every time I visited this store. I strongly recommend you to see him if you are not sure what you gonna get.
Once upon a time you went here for hats and glasses and personal wear for the sun. It had cheap options for all their products. I went there recently and the products were the same I could find anywhere and not cheap. It's lost its uniqueness. It's now just a 'shade' shop.
Staff were helpful. But the products found anywhere
I always love supporting this charity. Asking at the checkout if I wanted to donate $1 was a great way for me to give back to the community. They provided a really good description of where that money will actually go. So happy with the service here. Will definitely be returning to get more sun protective gear in future.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wide variety of products. Hats are good looking and prices are good. Highly recommend!
Average at best. I don't mind paying twice the retail price (knowing it's a charity organisation) but getting harassed for donations when leaving left us feeling quite uncomfortable.won't be returning!
Great location and friendly staff. I visit the store quite often and the store manager Mathew is super-cool and friendly.
