I had a great experience in the Day Surgery. The nurses were so lovely and nice. Always checking up on me to make sure I was ok. The waiting time was a little longer than expected but the nurses made up for it. The process of being admitted and discharged was very quick.

My 2nd visit nothing but disgusting from given time to be there. Had to go there physically to find time. After waiting from 2.00pm after Admission I was taken into surgery after 8.15pm a wait of over 6 hrs and came back from surgery close to midnight. Had a fall as a result of a fall from faulty equipment and despite experiencing occipital neuralgia was discharged after a Cat scan with medication unsuitable for a lady living by herself with no weight bearing and in a frame. I was unable to cope at home and had to engage a friend to help me bathe and cook for me and take me to post op appointments. Had to wait at least 2 week for a nerve block. To top it all off despite paying the amount required for my stay I received two bills one regarding my hospital stay if $50 and medication bill which was issued to me as a result of my fall. A registered nurse from my Health Fund and my GP both advised that I should not have been discharged but they could not wait to discharge me. I have never been treated in this way in any other public or private hospital. Thus has placed me on an emotional roller coaster. Would not recommend this private hospital. Absolutely the worst I have experienced as a private paying patient and was not even given a private room initially

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was put in a small pathology waiting room for at least an hour treated like a public hospital patient.was then transferred up to the day surgery waiting room another small cramped area with lots of people, uncomfortable seats and like a public hospital.matter of fact I've been into a few public hospitals including Shellharbour, Wollongong and Liverpool and they are so much better than Campbelltown private hospital.i pay big dollars into a private health health fund and did not expect this for a private hospital! Something needs to be done to ensure that patients coming in are alot more comfortable in a relaxed environment and well attended to

Really disappointed. Paying private fees i would expect a private room. Didn’t get that. Put in a shared room. Shared toilet door wouldn’t even lock. No bin in the bathroom. Had to request for all of it to be fixed. Pretty disgraceful for the $5k fees paid. Food was the same as the public hospital. Given pasta that was full of grit like munching on sand. So much noise. Cleaners banging and smashing when cleaning at ungodly hours of the morning. Wouldn’t come here again. Would rather travel a further distance for better facilities.

The staff at Campbelltown private hospital are second to none. I just started there for over three days and they were amazing. The lovely people who went above and beyond made being away from home so much easier. Extremely grateful. The hospital was clean. Nurses were kind and patient and surgeon was extremely talented.

Came for Day surgery, required an overnight stay. Both teams in Day surgery and wards, were absolutely wonderful. They made what was a difficult time much easier for me due to their genuine care
Much gratitude to all

I have just spent 12 days in the rehab ward. The nursing care was extremely high quality and I felt nurtured and safe. The physio was also very well run and successful. The housekeeping and food service were also of a high standard. The food itself was also well above hospital standard.
I was surprised by the number of shared rooms in a private hospital. Sharing a bathroom in healing setting is counterproductive.
Thank you to the staff!

Rude staff and masks still mandatory like it's 2020. Get with the program, we don't need masks anymore!

Very disappointed with the service of the nurses. Very rude and either understaffed or just lazy. A few were good but unfortunately most were just rude and took forever to assist. I only pressed the help button if I really needed too. I can say alot but doesn't look like anything will change based on other reviews. This has been going on for a while what is management doing about it? They reply apologizing stating they will make changes but obviously there are deeper staff issues at the hospital.

My wife was a patient here after having knee replacement surgery (a procedure that leaves a large wound site). Her room was lovely, meals good (when they actually deliver the correct meal that you order), the physios were excellent. Unfortunately the Nursing care was very poor. Bed sheets not changed every day, a request for a wound dressing replacement (after the initial one fell off) took 8 hours to be completed and was not done using proper sterile process. I was visiting and watched in disbelief as the nurse changed the dressing. Who drops a glove on the floor but still uses it? Who would open a sterile dressing and then place it on the unchanged bed? Just ridiculous. Staff chat loudly in the corridors and it's clearly not business they're discussing.

From the moment I walked in for my procedure today every single staff member from admission right through to recovery was upbeat. Happy, professional and extremely accommodating. What a delightful experience.

Absolutely disappointed with my stay.
My post surgery care on the wards was horrible and the nurse looking after me seemed like she didn't want to be there.
At time I was vomiting and she'd leave me on my own.
When I'd buzz her she wouldn't respond immediately taking up 30 minutes at times, I had two vomiting bags while, drowsy and nauseous. I've had better care at public hospitals.
My request for halal meal was ignored and I was bought a ham sandwich. Utterly disappointed.

Absolutely lovely consistent staff from the front door to inside. Clean, modern hospital. Thank you for looking after me. I recommend this hospital.

My bad luck that I was transferred from Campbelltown hospital to Campbelltown private hospital. I request for a water bottle and I haven’t got as no one bother about you. I had a surgery of removing kidney stone and water in take is mandatory requirement. I am really disappointed by their service and I never recommend any one to come to this hospital. If it’s not the reason of antibiotics injection I prefer to move to my home rather than staying in such place where you get depressed rather than getting improvement in your health.
Please avoid this hospital.

A week ago I had my right hip replaced at the hospital, and was kept in for obs and therapy for a week. I have been a patient at CPH several times over the years, for various procedures. I am delighted to report that the hospital has kept pace with it's surroundings and that their maintenance is up to the mark. Inviting atmosphere, clean facilities and a very 'fresh' and colorful atmosphere. Throw in good food, and excellent staff, and you could not ask for a better place to be when you need surgery and attention. I have no hesitancy in recommending CPH to anyone who needs great care.

This review is for the Campbelltown Private Rehab facility. My family had put a request forward for an admission at this rehab. At first the requested admission was accepted and a tentative transfer date was given to both us and the hospital at which we were staying. We were ready and waiting for the transfer however closer to the date and upon making an enquiry about what was going on regarding admission, a lady by the name of Rosemary (who heads up admission at the Campbelltown Private Rehab) asked a number of questions over the phone, one of which was about what our ethnicity was? ! (Very very odd). Soon after, we were informed that the admission had been rejected. Not only had this created inconvenience, it was appalling to have encountered this sort of attitude and on a judgement based on one's ethinicity in order to accept or reject admission. In hindsight, we're glad that things turned out the way they did and that this was revealed prior to admission because people who feel the need to resort to racial profiling would never have been adept at looking after us properly. Thank goodness there are other great rehab facilities with people who are more evolved, with the times and who genuinely care and treat all their patients equally.

I had recent spinal surgery at Liverpool Private and transferred to Campbelltown Private hospital. At times staff did not listen to my instructions in aiding me to properly sit up to take my pain medication caused unnecessary pain and when I explained the intensity to them, never was a sorry or apology received. It was as if these individuals had never heard of those words. Remember to speak slowly as some staff have english as a second language. Within all establishments of a certain gender, race or religion, ranks will close faster than Gallipoli trench warfare. Perhaps if I was female a little bit more understanding and less defensiveness would have made the time pass faster.

A book of sentimental and monetary value went on its personal voyage whilst there. I complained to the powers that be. One memory I will keep from my stay is that making any complaint to anyone in an authoritative position will often make you feel like you're the bad guy/troublemaker. Don't forget you are the one in the bed. Although it was accepted that two of the nurses had visually seen the book, management never voiced any suggestion of replacing the said item stolen. The onus of suspicions back to patient. I don't recall giving myself a 380 page suppository whilst a patient there. May be I used it as toilet paper.

" We interviewed the staff no one remembers visualizing it".
But naturally Dear Management a thief always admits to stealing once confronted with an accusation. That's why the courts are full of long lists of proceedings because everyone is honest even in hospitals.
Was not there a Royal Commission into unlawful and horrible behaviour by nursing staff in hospitals and aged care facilities recently?

As for my father's book which obviously flew to some distant bookshelf or bookstore the title of the book-Sometimes Gladness since my discharge has become Sometimes Sadness.

Opioids like Targin, Endone and benzodiazepines such as valium can slow/ restrict the lung capacity to inhale appropriate oxygen. Breathing complications can be a result after surgery. Do not be shocked if you press the nurse help button to the 2 a.m. Nurse checking with correct compliant procedures to ensure you are able to continue to breathe to receive the reply, "No you're not. I have no time to do your Obs" whilst crawling to the toilet using your fingers to open up your airways.
Or choking on food after eating a midday pasta meal vomiting over yourself, the food tray spewed over to make sure you live and the food delivery staff taking away the vomit leaving the rest on the floor and leaving the traces still a day later in the bathroom floor, bin and sink one day later.
Nothing too good for the patient.
And I mean nothing.
Having to tell staff there is vomit in the bathroom with remnants of carrots and broccoli on the floor. Well that's an insult to Campbelltown Private Hospital.
Afterall you are an inconvenience. You are just a medical tourist.
How dare I plea for lung airway assistance!
This hospital will automatically delete or silence my experiences and criticism with sound reason as choking on your food to death, the failure to render appropriate urgent medical assistance or paid lethargic incompetency may affect their fiscal bottom line.
$11,000 from the Insurance company should be negoitated as twice I was at risk of not surviving. The nurses knew but did they tell their superiors? I could have choked to death but no one cared.
Of course not.
A day of vomit left in the bathroom. Insisting on medical attention only to be told, "Too busy? "
This hospital has flaws relying on the presumptions that all staff are considered without question.
If my surgeon Dr Balsam Darwich decides on further surgery I will ask my Insurance Company to look at alternative hospitals so I am not treated as a a second class subject.
Furthermore management should review how the priority of incidents of restricted airway obstruction should be on their list of emergency.
There are underlying problems here.
It is not the person. It is the profit.

Had a great experience at Campbelltown Private. The nurses were extremely caring and professional.
The head recovery nurse wheeled me straight to my car after surgery in the pouring rain.
I would definitely return to this hospital.
