Our extended family (up to 20 people) have been holidaying at Camp Elim since January 1979. Our grandchildren now want to spend time at Elim whenever they can. A Christian camp which is well managed, beautifully located and safe in all aspects.

Stayed in our self contained motorhome in the caravan park area. Did not use any other facilities except the dump point. Clean and economical. NO Dogs, wonderful.

There are not many places like this where you are on a really nice lake with a really nice beach across the road.

Coming from the south along The Lakes Way this Christian camp ground is by the edge of Lake.and about 150mtrs to the surf beach. About halfway between Pacific Palms and Forster. Walking out into the lake, it's more than 100mtrs till the water a metre deep! Ideal for young children!?
Plenty of choice for family fun in or on the water or land!
Difficult to find a camping spot or cabin in Christmas holidays, but definitely worth.a visit.

I stayed for a long weekend in October. I found the Lakeside Cabin exactly as described on the website. Everything about my experience was great. The location is awesome and the facility (Cabin 12) was more than suitable for my need as a solo traveller. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

A very exquisite camp located across from a beautiful coastal beach but right on the foreshore of a scenic sandy lake.

The amenities here are great with the family units containing split system AC, a small kitchen (including a fridge, a microwave, a gas cook top and a good selection of cookware and crockery), shower, toilet and laundry (communal laundries can be found throughout the camp). Driers and a vending machine containing snack food are available but both for a fee. A basketball court and table tennis tables are also available at no charge. The adventure tower (featuring a large climbing rockwall) and the giant swing are available for large groups. Pushbikes, kayaks, canoes and other watercraft are available to hire for $10 per person per hours the hire includes life jackets if required. The town is located approximately 10 minutes drive away with coles, woolworths, kmart and aldi in the same complex.

The downsides are very minimal.the lakes edge was covered by thick seaweed and the shoreline can be very boggy. We also suffered a short black out (at no fault of the camp) while here and it was very dark so bringing a torch would be a good idea as well.

Camp Elim is a wonderful place to stay with family and friends. We celebrated our sons 15th birthday with a few of his friends from school and we all had a fabulous time on the lake, in the ocean, playing basketball, using the standup boards, snorkelling and spear fishing. Plenty of activities to do for the whole family.

The Cabin can host max 7 guests. It is very spacious for two people. It is clean and tidy. Free Wi-Fi Internet speed is 5mpbs/1mpbs (download/upload) via NBN FWB services. It can watch the beautiful Sunset and watch the enormous Sun Rise on the 7 miles beach side.

What a loverly quiet relaxing place, this is a hidden gem of the North Coast of NSW. No alcohol means no nightly yahooing from undesirables and no TV is a great break from reality. If you want to party go elsewhere, however if you want to unwind and enjoy nature in peasant serene surroundings this is the place for you. I can’t wait to come back, thank you.

Fantastic campsite. Great lakeside location. Short walk to beach. Family-friendly environment. Safe, drug & alcohol-free. Camp Elim is a real winner in my book.

Been comming here for 12 yrs. Inlaws have been comming here for nearly 30 yrs.its always mostly pleasant and quiet. Always clean and tidy, our kids love it here as the lake is very safe. Good for fishing also.

People just need to be reminded of the speed limit and the No Smoking policies on site.

A Family bathroom would make life easier for families especially those with special needs children, my daughter had to be showered in the mens bathroom one night due to someone un necessarily using the "disabled" bathroom.

Wednesday to Wednesday bookings don't work for us and we're still deciding weather or not we'll return next yr. Saturday to Saturday makes much more sense.

A fantastic location. Lake on one side, ocean on the other. Our kids had a great time, and we as parents felt at ease knowing they were in a safe and comfortable environment. The big swing was a hit, the kayaks too, and movie night was not to be missed. We have been going there for a few years now, and made lots of friends and memories.

We have returned here multiple times. The position on the lake and the beach across the road is absolutely lovely. Great staff and clean new amenities. Love the sunsets over the lake.

Three decades of visits and counting. Elim is still a hidden treasure. It was once only known within church circles but now more broadly. It's quiet, people are considerate and the staff are tremendous. Good luck getting a booking in the school holidays though.

Well, we decided to take a chance on Camp Elim because it looked good on the internet - nothing ventured, nothing gained as it is said. In this instance, all we gained was great disappointment and frustration at a packed and noisy camping area. We were crammed into the "lakeside area", which is comprised of 23 sites that only measure about 5m x 7m, (most of which were occupied) and not really at the lake's side either. We were surrounded on all four sides by other campers and were just metres from the basketball court. Consequently, it felt like the Hume Highway due to kids running around close to our tent and we were floodlit like the MCG until the lights went off at 9.30pm. Not relaxing in the slightest! Then, bright and early at 6.40am, we were awoken by the “doink doink" of basketballs on the court and shortly thereafter the campers next to us (as in a metre or two from our tent!) singing a boisterous round of Happy Birthday. So much for a noise curfew until 8am. So.that was our experience and, suffice it to say, it will be our only experience with Camp Elim. We originally had two nights booked but left as soon as we could after our first night.

Camp Elim is in a beautiful location, and staff work hard to ensure everyone has a pleasant stay. The facilities are great, and maintained throughout the day. A great place to camp and reconnect with nature.
