Camera House - Narellan

This is not exactly a review about this shop though I have no issues with their service. This is a review about you reviewers (good and bad) who refer to the shop operators as ‘Asian this’ or ‘Asian that’. Why can’t they just be ‘lady’ or ‘gentleman’? Why can’t you just see people as people and non of this racist kind of language? It doesn’t matter that you refer to the lady as a “LOVELY Asian lady”, it’s still messed up.

Great, competent service plus price matching makes this place the go to camera store for me!

This camera house is probably the worst I have been to, I handed my film camera in and was waiting for weeks. Each time I went in there to check on when it would be ready they would give me a different date. By the 5th time I went in there the lady at the front ended up developing my photos right in front of me after waiting all this time. I was shocked, because if it was that easy why wouldn’t they have given me the photos within the correct time frame. Keep in mind I’ve never waited more than a week for film photos. Terrible service, very unprofessional.

Service was reasonable, even though incorrect info was given about an adaptor, customer service could be improved as we were left several times during our visit for the staff member to attend to someone else, there were 2 staff members and 2 customers.

Have been there twice since they moved locations and am not impressed by the lack of assistance and knowledge from their sales staff. Went there for some professional advice/information in relation to a piece of equipment I was looking to purchase. None of the assistants could answer any questions and did not even try to help. On one occasion they were all too busy sitting around eating fried chicken. On both occasions we were the only customers.
When they were in Macarthur Square their service was amazing. They were always so helpful and knowledgeable. I hope they return to previous standards.

I went here with my ten year old camera.and these guys were super helpful, had the knowledge and experience that anyone can see I do not have myself (just look at my YouTube channel) and got me on the right track to being tiktok famous. Actually whilst I do sometimes dance around when nobody is looking, I am in fact terribly shy and do not have the six pack and pair of socks required for a manly man like me to be eligible for being tiktok famous.
I would not mind making millions of dollars by being youtube famous and running around making videos about my crazy antics and generally being a pest, but sadly I think that genre is over done.
Sooooooo anyhooooowww these guys were great. Really helpful.and I do genuinely give them 5 stars.

Telephone sat 23/4/22 re test driving Nikon D850 before I bought the following day expecting to be told as previously by other camera stores, " we can't do that" imagine my surprise when the salesperson at Narellan Camera House said YES, The next say Sun 24/4/22 I arrived at the store. Parked right outside the front door, walked in, introduced myself to the salesperson and he said " there's your camera all set up and ready to test drive. WOW, was my joyous response, instantly forgetting about the $5000 dollars I was about to spend. I was so blown over by the customer service. Thirty minutes later after a little negotiation I walked out of Narellan Camera House with my new heavy D850 and a lighter debit card. Its closer for me to go to canera stores at Penrith or Parramatta but for customer service I will be patronising Narellan Camera House. I recommend them to amateur and professional photographers. Travelled all around Sydney’s east and north yesterday without luck trying to find the new Sony 24-70 lens.
Turns out my local store had it and they even put it aside for me.

I've been to so many camera house branches in the past but I've never received exceptional customer service like here. I called in to see what portable lighting gear they had available. They texted me what options they had and even drove out to deliver it to me the same day as I needed it ASAP and couldn't leave work. Not to mention it was raining. Thank you for being so accommodating and helpful!

BUYER BEWARE! Do NOT purchase online from this brand — you will be chasing your money for WEEKS from this mob.

They are impossible to contact and actively ignore you. I've been reaching out to them for 2 weeks now, and have yet to even hear back from anyone that works here.

I've been forced to go via chargebacks. As someone that regularly purchases online, I have NEVER experienced anything like this.

I ordered a product on Camera House for collection which was marked as In Stock. When I went to the store, they didn't have the order or the item in stock. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue with online orders. I was advised that I had to contact their head office directly as the store has no ability to assist in these circumstances.

Camera House has been completely non-responsive despite multiple attempts to contact across many platforms, and I've been forced to escalate the charge to PayPal. Terrible experience, won't purchase from them again.

I appreciate that the store was unable to rectify the issue, however buyer beware with this brand when purchasing online. Only purchase in-store or risk having your money held hostage.
